Sir it's mild hybrid technology so it's having 3 function
1. start stop function
2. Brake energy regeneration
3. Torque assist.
For full hybrid there has to one for function required which is solely electrical driven car on battery.
Plz get all relevant information and then critices about any products.
And about Smart hybrid technology- it's a nomenclature of the product for marketing.
Why ur mostly negative on Maruti cars?

मारुती आज के डेट में अपने को खान तिकड़ी जैसे समझती है कि प्रोडक्ट चाहे जैसा भी हो लोग लेंगे ही मगर ciaz जिस केटेगरी की कार है वहां क्वालिटी बहुत ही मायने रखती है।आपके सारे पॉइंट बहुत ही सटीक है।हाइब्रिड वाला मुझे पता नहीं था,अब वो भी समझ गया।इस सेगमेंट की साडी गाड़ियाँ जैसे सिटी,verna, yaris, वेंटो,रैपिड इस से बेहतर है बस केवल उनके पास मारुती का नाम नहीं है।

Other disapointing points are
1.no sunroof
2.no touch screen in lower model
3.engine is under power both and using the most disguisting diezel engine
4. Same switch as before and many more
Even Ford Freestyle which is much cheaper is more sensible to buy and even the Ecosport petrol and diezel
There are many more sensible good cars available at the same price points or even cheaper cars then ciaz

Toyota offers 7 AIRBAGS , all adjustable headrests and all 3 point seat belts as standard
Toyota Yaris is not good at back seat space, bad under thigh support in rear seats, waste and meaning less front arm rest projecting too much in back side. Not as much spacious feeling as ciaz.

Ciaz is cheapest in its segment giving more or less same features inspite of little technicalities and overall mileage is one of the top features in india in which ciaz is the BAAP of its so called rivals..No other brand can provide such a car in this price. A big price difference..

Instead go for dzire petrol automatic. Both cvt and 4 speed automatic gaerbox are very slow shifting on the other hand amt gearbox shift much quickly. Still if you want to select between cvt and AT then I'll suggest you to go for city petrol automatic.

I am agreed with your diesel variant regarding under power as I had Fiat Linea which runs in same 1.3 LTR and I brought Ciaz facelift petrol variant which lot of cabin space as compared to its competitors even Linea which is bigger in dimensions than all. I know what is hybrid and what is start/stop. Budget Petrol variant Ciaz shows dust as compared to budget City or Verna. My brother has City. All your comparison regarding Ciaz is applicable to automatic variants.

I have 2016 modal diesel ciaz, some issue those i noticed after 60k km drive like 1 front windshields most foggy when night time ac runing,
2 MRF tire quality which produces sound in high runing speed
3 low visibility projector headlamp in high beam
But thode thing i love most & other indian people that's average, my speedo meter show 21.9 overall millage and value 4 money in parts, repair, service 😊😉😀😬

Some points you have raised are correct but as far as head room or leg room is concern I personally checked the fact and found satisfactory as compared to other cars in that segment. My height is 6'1" and I found no difficulty in sitting in the back seat... where as in other cars in the segment I found somehow uncomfortable... Ciaz is providing excellent legroom and head room...
Second thing you you have told about smart hybrid system...agreed that company is advertising much about smart hybrid.. but at the end of the day it give benefits to the costumer...like it saves ur fuel in heavy traffic and city rides... Secondly you don't need to start/ stop everytime at traffic🚧🚦... hence it reduces human effort... at this price you will get this much only...
Yes I agreed that the plastic quality is not comparably good w.r.t. other cars in the segment but for a comfortable journey with your love ones and comfortable drive it is better option than others in the segment....
If you don't care for comfort while driving and only cares for speed and power then better go for racing cars...for Indian road conditions, traffic and sence of driving of most of the peoples in India,I personally don't prefer high torque and high speed cars.... Even in Ciaz petrol variant you can comfortably drive at 140Kmph (depending upon road conditions) without any jerk or abnormal sound... Pick up is also decent....
