there is no Rimac because his car costs 2 mil euro and nobody drove them except dummy hammond who crash it and its car are not for every day drive then for garage 99% of time of some rich assoles just like any other exotical vehicle
@goodfella21f no, rimac produces and sells a lot of electric car parts. The hybrid systems on the Aston Martin Valkyrie and the Koenigsegg Regera are made by Rimac. They helped on the Porsche Taycan (Porsche owns 15% of Rimac) and many more electric/hybrid vehicles

ye because the cars battery is based on "guess-o-meter" if you floor it like that it expects that you will drive like that for a longer time so the estimated range goes down quickly

I need to know more about what goes into production of these videos. is there a gigantic writers team behind it, are there several camera operators we dont see? the production quality of this review was so great to see, and it stands out from your otherwise great reviews!
i think this review worked so great because it felt dynamic and showed how the car would be used in daily life without explicitly saying thats what you were showing off.

Carwow's main business is price comparison for cars. You say what car you want and you get great offers from dealers so you don't have to do any negotiating at the dealership. There are about 240 people employed to do this and we have offices in UK, Germany and Spain. But we also provide written and video reviews of cars. I'm in charge of that department and have a team of 11 people - 6 are website writers and 5 do video filming and editing. For this particular video one of my writers compiled a fact sheet for me on the car - price, performance, battery etc. I then flew out with a cameraman with no idea what to film. We got there and made it up as we went along - me testing the car as I go and us coming up with how to illustrate stuff to you guys. All this took 6 hours. The film was then edited in 10 hours by the guy who shot it. Then we uploaded it. This is how it is on every launch video you watch. The in-depth reviews are slightly different as we shoot multiple cars at once. Same as drag races.

Sadly the headline question was not answered. How does it compare other than interior leather quality. What about the rest. Range , price, speed of charging (hour/km) compared to X?

My little Sisterhas just had one of these and i highjacked the keys tonight for a spin. Goes pretty well for a 2.5 tonne tank. Interior is nice and Merc mood lighting is top class. Really like it and im a thorough petrol head......

B250 is a ice converted car. The other a plug in. This is the first proper BEV

So with preservation of energy this means Energy that is used to charge your battery cant be used for driving and part of your fuel always is needed to generate electrical energy.

Supercharger stations often have 20-40 stalls. Much better than ionity that often has 4-8 stalls.

Mat is one of the few reviewers that correctly say that sailing mode is better. Regen mode when you just want to cruise on the highway is not efficient because the car convert movement to energy and then back unnecessarily. There is energy loss in the two way conversion.
I know I'm really late with this but the experienced bottleneck while charging was due to the fact, that the used charger is only capable of 150kW/h if only one car is connected and wasn't caused by the temperature of the Battery. If two cars are connected like shown in the video the charging speed is cut in half what is seen by the around 75 kW/h.
So...is it a Model X beater? Not sure Matt!

1. you can't say Mercedes inside the car without getting triggered.
Why doesn’t any car reviewer mention the fact that if you look at the driver and passenger door you can clearly see from the outside the interior panel is about 5cm taller than the exterior. It’s hard to tell in this video but this bothered me a lot when driving with this car.
He should use that pointer stick in all videos.

I think you should also have mentioned the safety features the car is coming with. One doesn't have to worry they'll turn into a fire ball if they hit something or if something hits them. That's quite important...

It's a good looking SUV, would definitely take it over other Mercedes SUVs and I think will make EVs more acceptable to people bias to more traditional brands. (Not quiet a Model X though).

I give Merc credit for putting some thought into the design of the vehicle to differentiate it from the rest of the line, unlike, say, Audi. I assume part of that is improved aerodynamics, but it also gives the car a forward-looking feel - and does it sleekly. They seem to have stopped at the "grill" though. Handsome interior design, I like the Merc super-wide double screen dash. But as to the Model X interior, to me the dash with it's large center screen still makes others look old-fashioned.
The infotainment system should be activated by a word that never gets mentioned in a normal conversation.. like puffin

Beating the iX3 and Q4 etron to market is massive for Mercedes. This car is THE luxury mid-size SUV on the market right now. What a car!
So many steps for charging! With a Tesla, you drive-up to a Supercharger and plug-in. The rest is automatic. No apps, no rate plans, no codes to scan, no manual opening of a charge port and yet another flap.
The process shown here is insane!
