    Just bought one after selling a new golf R. It’s a way better drive than an etron, and as an ex-petrol head I have no issue with hurrying it through corners, all very composed. My range is 230 also over the first 1000 miles, which is sufficient. It’s also far superior inside than any iPace or etron. Servicing also free for 3 years. And if you are doing hundreds of miles each day you wouldn’t buy an EV anyway

      A Golf R is way too hard to be comfortable on the road and I absolutely hate the VAG transmissions. It's just not possible to drive smooth with them. I have driven an Audi A4 quattro as a company lease for 2,5 years now and I have hated every moment of it. Car is way too low, gets caught by the bottom regularly and the suspension is like in a sports car but the car has a 180hp diesel lol.

    If you only take the occasional motorway trip of a few hundred miles and use it for commuting with the ability to charge at home it’s a great buy.

      I’m driving 500-1000 km trips from time to time with no issue. It’s a beautiful car.

    Personally I think the EQC is probably the best looking Merc SUV currently available regardless of power-train.

    An excellent and accurate video. I recently sold my Jaguar I pace and replaced it with a EQC. There is no doubt that the Jaguar is a better car to drive but the EQC has other qualities. It has a rear wash wipe, heated seats which my SE model did not, the interior is more user friendly,the build quality is better and I expect it will be easier to top up the antifreeze. I saved £9,400 on list price for one less than a year old and less than 5,000 miles.This should help when I want to change to a BMW I 4 M50 next year.

    Ehi Ginny, the firs Audi e-tron was also a converted traditional diesel SUV.
    That's why the current Audi Q4 e-tron is better

      B250e is cheap because its tiny 28kWh battery doesn’t support DC rapid charging. It’s useless for anything but short ~90 mile round trips.
      Even £15k is too much, to be honest 😬

      A Tesla has drastically inferior build quality, it's noisy inside and the doors are not guaranteed to open during freezing weather either. I was offered one but I chose to skip it.

    What exactly do Mercedes “Service”?!? What an absolute joke. These legacy manufactures have had a laugh with servicing costs on ICE cars, but the fact they’re trying gaslight customers into thinking an EV needs yearly servicing is just a total con.

    • @ShelfsideOllie
      @ShelfsideOllie 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      i had a q4 and have just bought an eqc - For me the quality isn't even worth debating - with the premium plus package, it's far superior to the audi apart from rear leg room. It just feels nicer to be in and more exclusive and less VW. I get the A class reference but it's much bigger and has a few extra tricks up its sleeve too. The Q4 is an excellent car btw.

    Why would anyone want to buy this thing, given it's many drawbacks? No frank, large transmission tunnel and frankly ridiculous range. Not to mention the very limited recharge capability. Sounds like MB rushed this into production, because they were so late to the party.

    Your comments on the new cost don’t match my experience at least in terms of Company Car leasing. I originally wanted to get an iPace, but the Lease Company cost of even the base model iPace with no extras was £150+ more than the lease cost they were offering on the Mercedes EQC 400 - so I got the EQC 400 - and very pleased with it I am, but agree with it is far more at home cruising steadily along motorways and trunk roads. In that environment then range wise people I know with ID4’s etc., do not seem to be getting any much better than I am with the EQC - such is the way with the WLTP EV lottery in real world driving. If you want range then get a Tesla 🙂

      What's better a t driving comfort eqc or normal GLC?

    • @dingdong2103
      @dingdong2103 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I put priority on comfort so quiet cabin and a smooth suspension is high value for me. But I do love the acceleration when I need it to pass lorries and such. My longest regular trip is about 90 miles one way and there are 150-300kW chargers both ends of the trip...
