I met Sabu/Rhino/Tommy Dreamer/Axel/Balls/Steve Corino/Tazz this was like if I remember right a month or 2 after he made his Debut in WWE he did an autograph signing I still have the picture of meeting him I got a signed picture plus he signed his WWE shirt at the time I did sell the shirt and picture years later tho LOL but at least I still have the picture of me and Tazz I should post it on Facebook one day.I will also never forget the last time Nitro was at the Nassau Coliseum as me and my friend wear walking in the hall way to go to are seats right in front of us was Midajah and Mike Awesome each talking to an Agent I remember screaming Mike he looked and waved plus I got to touch Midajah which for me at the Time was like Heaven because I was in love with her I also met Sandman/Raven and a few others.

He always struggled to win and often lost much like his tag team partner Scotty Riggs, the Armstrong tag team, Alex Wright, Hardwork Bobby Walker, the Public Enemy tag team, Johnny B. Badd, and Hacksaw Jim Duggan? They were always incapacitated by a "face pull" sort of move where they eyes seem to be temporarily damaged, every time they did an elbow/collar tie up in the middle of the match against the heel, where the heel would then work them over.

But nooooo, he had to bury DDP in that stupid stalker angle and fire Buff. He could have bought out the AOL/Time Warner contracts of the big name guys like Goldberg, Sting, Steiner, Luger etc and put on the fantasy matches we had all wanted to see for the previous decade. He would have made back the cost of those contracts plus a ton more! 20 years later and I still feel cheated!!!

Why didn't TNA ever sign Buff Bagwell? He was over with the fans in WCW, had great mic skills, could wrestle and looked great. And when WWE fired him he was still pretty young probably not even 30 yet. The demise of Buff Bagwells pro wrestling career is one of the most puzzling I've ever seen. It's so sad. And it's sad to see him still so bitter especially at good ole JR. But I can't blame him. WWE royally screwed up on not making this guy a star and their company making only a quarter million dollars a year down from the three-quarters of a million dollars a year he was making in WCW. WWE also screwed up Scott Steiner's run in the early 2000s when he should have been champion and the top heel.

Booker and DDP did the same thing except they took early buyouts from Turner to free themselves to sign with WWE as they both still had a lot of time left on their Turner deals. Some of the guys just sat back and collected all of their money and let the Turner contract run out before looking elsewhere for work.

According to Sting there was another reason for him not signing with WWE. I remember seeing an interview with Sting where he said he watched the episode when the invasion angle first kicked off. Wrestlers from WCW and WWE got in the ring and fought it out. Left in the ring at the end was just The Rock and Booker T. Sting said he could see The Rock say "Who are you?" to Booker T which Sting found incredibly disrespectful. Sting said The Rock legitimately had no idea who an icon like Booker T was. That was something that bothered Sting and made him want nothing to do with the WWE. Like you wrote, he knew Vince was going to bone all the WCW guys which he promptly did.

His time with Scott Steiner, both as partners and rivals, resulted in some of the best and most memorable moments of WCW's history, and if WWE had not spent the past 19 years burying WCW these segments would have been just as iconic as DX's antics today. It seems the only facet of WCW that WWE has not tried to bury is the NWO, but only because that was simply too big to bury, so Vince decided to try and profit from it, and revive it several times.

Buff is the Stuff, only one match with em and it was a damn shame. Disco doesn't feel he was ready for the WWE going on an earlier interview.

Why didn't Buff go to TNA? He made a few appearances but never really had a run there.

Good question very stupid on TNAs part they could have used a lot of the WCW stars they missed the boat on that very dumb on them.

The Time Warner/aol executives where the real Disaster for WCW... they aren't everyday, level headed, blue collar people. They despise the culture of wrestling and all the fans that are part of it and think its a national disgrace, fit only for the low class and the ignorant. The only reason they sold WCW only to Vince was with the condition that the company was to be totally liquidized, which Vince had NO problem doing. There was even a falling out with Shane over this because he thought he was going to be given the permission to run it and thought WCW being out of the picture was going to be bad overall for WWE...which he was right....

Shane is a genius and more down to than any wealthy person I've seen.

WCWFanForever, I noticed u cut out Bagwell's view on Hulk Hogan.
He was a huge star in WCW, is there a reason why u cut that part out?

    • @WCWFanForever
      @WCWFanForever  7 ปีที่แล้ว

Hi the reason is because Rf Video still needs to make money off these shoots there was other stuff that I wanted to leave in but the longer they are the more money they are thanks.

I recall the whole thing being that the contracts of the big guys in wcw were through turner-time warner and totally guaranteed. That is why they sat home and didn't show up in wwe for a while.

at that time Buff was his own worst enemy. The other guys knew when to put up or shut up and Buff just couldn’t get it together then started a fight with helms. I would have fired him to.

Thing is, Buff is right. If Vince would’ve put Buff & Booker as the main event in Atlanta, WWE would’ve been shit on because ATL was WCW territory and Vince knew it. that’s why he did it the week before.

I was a heel commentator on a radio show about pro wrestling. Buff was always the most requested by the ladies and the ring rats. Buff was a dynamic draw for house shows and tv ratings amongst the ladies/rats. At nearly every WCW promo, the ladies would always ask me about Buff. I was with Buff and Johnny B Bad when Johnny met Sable at the Quincy's Restaurant, Jacksonville Fl. Johnny's exact words to me were, I just met the most beautiful woman in the world. Buff was always cool to hang with.

I never understood the whole, Bagwell’s mother controversy. It doesn’t make sense that she would call the WWE on behalf of her son - I mean come on. I always found Bagwell to be an entertaining performer and he seemed like he would be a good fit for the WWE. It does seem like he had a lot of enemies in WWE management.
