It is kind of surreal listening to him talk about Reid and Charlotte (Ashley), knowing what we know 10-15 years after this was recorded. Hands down this is the best Highspots shoot interview I've watched.

I do not understand his bitterness about DDP. No one worked harder at learning their craft and improving upon it in WCW. DDP was having way better matches than Flair, especially later on. I will argue that DDP got more out of Goldberg and Savage than Flair ever could have or did. Also, you don’t become champion 16 times without politics, so maybe he shouldn’t cast stones.

Ric certainly is one of the best personalities wrestling has ever had, sadly he continued to work in ring for twenty years to many….. that money he was making wasn’t going into new talent, the same people flair and others talk about who kept him down when he was trying to break in and make a name for himself are the very same people he became himself… hulk was the same, we didn’t need or even want to see them wrestle at that stage of their careers, that said, the hulk pulled off magic with the rock and if Austin hadn’t been such good buddy’s with sour puss Brett we would’ve had hulk vs Austin too….
