Known as the more track oriented Camaro of the bunch and also rumored to be the most balanced as well of sport and comfort-we take a ride in this slightly modified beast. you buy the GT500 for the engine, insane output, and straight line.
you buy the ZL1 for its suspension, chassis, brakes, and handling.

Lol the ZL1 has more horsepower and is faster in the 1/4 than a GT500 of the same year, so I'll buy the ZL1 for the "insane output" and "straight line" too. I don't know what the hell YOUR talking about😆
@@xsixinfantryx the mustangs are good at going in lines and are descent in corners as well they look pretty bad ass I’m liking the aggressive look they are going for so I think that it does come down to preference and which one you can handle more

When I talk about weight I'm referencing it compared to a Mustang GT of 2013 (this ZL1 was a 2012 year)
Mustang GT base model- 3,483 lbs
Camaro ZL1-3,750 lbs
Just diffusing people comment wars start happening since the new Mustang is heavier than the previous generation.

I like the looks of this generation more than the current one. The front end of the current generation looks a lot like this generation but it is getting ready to sneeze. I can't unsee it.
JonWarAll the newest 2015 Zl1 has the same front end as the 2013.they didn't use the smaller grill ex on the zl1.
The most recent Camaro looks good. But I can't get over the fact that the rear lights remind me of a Honda prelude or older acura

Great video keep up the good work I always wondered about this car
I rented the SS convertible not long ago around Arizona and it really did feel great. The interior was much better than I expected too. There is leather on most common places (seats, arm rest, steering wheel, shifter, etc.) and although there are a couple of hard surfaces, it's much better than most Mustangs and older muscle cars. The visibility due to the thick pillars, big mirrors and thin window openings is something you get used to and with the top off, it's really sweet. It sounds and pulls great and it does 2000 rpm until about 80 mph so the engine and exhaust are very quiet when you're not revving high. Being able to pass cars on the highway while In 5th or 6th at under 2000 rpm is pretty silly and you really don't realize how fast you're accelerating unless you shift manually and let it go into the higher RPM. The HUD interface is also great, you really don't need to check your dash at all while you drive. It's a really nice car and with some weight reduction it'll be even better.
Ahhhh...the long awaited Camaro review. Wish it was a 2014 Z/28 but this will definitely suffice. thanks!

Nice review! I have been looking around for a used ZL1 since I just test drove the 2015 2SS/1LE and thought it was way underpowered for how heavy it is. If I got the '15 2SS a supercharger would have to be the first mod.

just got my ZL1 from the tuners with a full catless exhaust. I can say I agree with you David, it's very streetable in this setup until you want to summon angry v8 gods!
Give them props for making one of the most beautiful vehicles ever too... And it's a solid beast I have a black and gold ss

Love how the seat moves back every time you mash the gas. There is no substitute for fast cars.

I wouldn't want to be caught dead in a Camaro... Just can't get over the styling or the personality traits that seem to stem from owning one. But I do appreciate them for lighting a fire under Fords pants because I love my '14 track pack. This ZL1 does sound good though... prime time for loving cars.

What i like about the LSA/LS9 is the easy power increases.
a pulley and tune can make 650 horsepower for under $1,000
Would it be a good idea to swap the LS9 from the LSA on a camaro?
Danny Contreras the only difference between the LSA and the LS9 is the blower size and camshaft.
+the intake port is 10cc smaller.
All you need is a pulley/tune for the LSA.
