I'll never understand why so many people hate on this car. Obviously its not as nice as a classic 67, or 77 Camaro. But I think this car is great.
personally I prefer the newest gen camaros (idk if the 2014 models are considered a diff gen than the 2013 because they really have almost identical bodies) but considering I was born in '97 I can't really appreciate the older models as much as other people can. I drive a 2013 camaro 2ls and honestly love the car. Looking back I would have rather gotten a 1ls (stick shift) rather than automatic with paddles but its still insanely fun to drive and has effective engine breaking which is rare in cars like the $24,000 2ls.
Collapze 2010-2015 is 5th generation.
My favorite is 2011-2012 I don't like to 2015!!
The best looking Camaro will always be a 1969 Camaro but this one is nice in my opinion.

The zl1 is fuking awesome it's so loud in real life I starterd one up before it was so cool.
I love every last thing about this car, but that hood is my favorite. I have always loved the Camaro's retro interior, too. Great build quality. Those quad pipes are gorgeous as well. I never thought I would buy a Camaro over a Corvette, but I think I'm gonna have to chose this over the Corvette Grand Sport.
Being a GT500 owner, I find the ZL1 to be an awesome addition to the American muscle scene. Close competition encourages automotive engineers to strive for better performance---benefiting everyone interested in owning these cars. Bravo ZL1...
That beautiful sound of an LS motor....love my Corvette just for that reason alone. Great video as always.

Trade in the mustang and use the extra money to upgrade it man.
I'm considering picking one up sometime in the future, as a car I'd grow old with. I don't see much reason for why I would ever swap it out for something else. Everything "wrong" with it can be fixed, and it ticks all my basic boxes for what I want in a car. But it's gotta be the manual version tho.

I recently bought a 1978 Trans AM SE Gold Edition, and it has the 6.6 400 in it. Probably about the same gas mileage as this, and I agree, totally worth it. When you're driving something like that, it goes from being a chore, to something you wish you could do more!

Chevrolet advertises the automatic ZL1 as a faster car than the six speed.
Tony M if it were like two seconds it’d be a big deal. But you’re usually talking about tenths in a models auto vs MT.

@@joet.2361 sadly some will drive them hard to where it's expensive to fix, total them, and some will hide them and never ride them and never enjoy it. Just because they think they are going to make a lot of money. I'm thinking of finding one in auction. Fix it and enjoy it.

Autos are actually faster in 1/4 mile by 3 tenths of second
Manual might be more fun (I agree) but is not practical for racing
***** no, automatic transmission preps gears so you can smoothly shift and have much more control over the car, not to mention you do not have to let out on the gas to shift in automatic regardless of using paddles or just the car's normal transmission
if you're going to street race with a zl1 it doesn't really matter because most people don't have a car that can beat a zl1 in a drag race (most street races are light to light) but on the track manual transmission will hold you back

I'm old school as i had 3 1st generation Camaros but i must admit the new muscle cars are so much more refined and easier to live with, no adjusting solid lifters, etc.
