  • The Camaro ZL1, a parking structure and permission to drive flat out, would you say no? Neither could we. Watch as Justin unleashes the fury of the beastly ZL1 in the ultimate concrete playground before taking it to the track to experience the car's inherent track capabilities. Between the screeching wheels and the Inferno Orange paint scheme, this Camaro ZL1 is impossible to ignore; especially if you're the cops.

    Good point - some cars its easier to give more coverage of the interior. With the Camaro, we felt it was more about the experience of driving it. But you do have a point!

    Must be my favorite US muscle Car atm and I´m not such a big fan of US cars in general but this does it for me, looks great inside and outside, drives well on track and on the road and has the grunt a muscle car should have. Also remembering the way this car came to life and how close the production was to the Concept - that is something that can not be said about a many cars. So just thumps up for this American muscle.

    That is the correct top speed. You can hit 184 mph when using the automatic transmission or 180 mph when using the manual. Either way, it's bloody fast and tough to find somewhere you could stay full throttle long enough to reach it!
    JB

  • @MotorTrendWatch

    Don't you think that is pretty quick? A lot of power to put down to the ground from launch, and the traction control does its best to keep up with it!

    Great show! Love the format and the obvious play on words "world's fastest car show" thus the hyper pace of the reviews and the quick cuts in and out during editing. The host has lots of credentials as a driver and a racer but down plays all of that with his attention grabbing wit and style of dress, thumbs up from where I sit. I'm a true car fan so I can appreciate the differences, major or minor between the cars he is blessed to drive. Drive what you love, love what you drive!!

    The camaro is better than the gt500 in every way but I will admit the mustang can win in a straight line but that's it! Anf if you want to go say the gt500 is faster then y dont we bring out the 707 hp Hennessy camaro now who's staying home?!! (GT500)

    Great video, this coming from a 2013 Mustang GT owner. I love my car and have handed plenty of SS's a ass kicking on the road course. But these ZL1's and 1LE's are the performance bargains for road course work.

    Hi - its the Breitling Bentley Le Mans watch. They made 1000 of them to celebrate their victory at Le Mans. I got #53 as that was the number of the car I won in. Depends on the LS engine to me. I really like all the gen IV stuff, especially the LS3/7. I like the JZ engines a LOT though. They come with stout internals and a really good flowing cylinder head. 2 things that are ideal for boost. I'm just a big fan of straight 6s in general!

  • @Dgannt
    @Dgannt 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    May be so but the SLS is as usual more refined and luxurious. The Viper is still loud (in the car) and hot because of those exhaust pipes even though they tried to improve it. And we have the sometimes dangerous handling.
    As Carlos Lago said after the test drive: some may call it uncompromising others might just call it miserable.
    But when it comes to performance at low price, nothing beats US cars.

  • @2013FiveOh
    @2013FiveOh 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Unless we're talking about carbon ceramics, factory brake pads are meant to work in normal conditions, and can survive for a while under stress, but ultimately, any muscle car (ANY) needs a set of track-compound brake pads designed for maximum performance under hot temps if the car is going to see track duty.
    Ever actually been to a track?
    That being said, the ZL1 heat soaks due to a weak cooling system and cast hypereutectic pistons, which run 20 degrees hotter than the GT500's forgings.

  • @nicoliasglock17
    @nicoliasglock17 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The Shelby GT00 killed this car, and when GM went on to make the Z/28 and said "We plan to kick the shit out of Ford," and actually got the shit kicked out of them by the GT500 once again, while making themselves look like ass wholes.

    I did! I was cross shopping for a weekend/other car (my daily is a Sentra) between a new Camaro, new Honda Accord Coupe V6 and used 335is. I test drove all of them and I did like the Camaro's driving experience (the salesman let me go nuts) but when driving in traffic I noticed it was a much more white-knuckled experience compared to the others. In the end, I decided to put my 2nd car shopping on hold to help my mom pay off her Volvo. If I had to choose though, I probably would've gone Honda.

    There's also the 1LE & upcoming Z/28!

  • @MrOnemanop
    @MrOnemanop 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    ...The Challenger was a '70's car.....And now it's a thoroughly modern car...which accounts for the weight gain, but I respect your right not to want one, actually I'm glad so many don't like them, I've worked hard to afford mine and I like that I don't see so many other (SRT's). have a nice day.

    I'd like to see GM come up with a new RWD chassis. There isn't anything wrong with this one, I suppose, but it's been in use since before the 2004 GTO was in production I believe. It's nearly 10 years old now and could use a revamp, in my opinion.

    The 2013 GT500 was actually featured in the best drivers car competition BTW, and since you asked, it's faster (around a track) than the Audi R8, the Audi R8 V10 ($200,000) the Porsche 911 GT3 and every Porsche 911 / Boxter / Cayman that is under it. It's also faster than the Mercedes SLS AMG, and in a straight line, it is similar to the Corvette C6 Z06 and the Nissan GT-R, trapping 175 mph in the standing mile straight from the factory, 190+ mph in the mile with a pulley and a tune.
