The original version of the had different lyrics. The song is titled "I'm So Happy to Finally Be Back Home." It's a song about an American cowboy who is glad to be home after riding or something to that effect. Eduard Khil re-wrote the lyrics to what you know because singing about an American in those times was a no-no. He just liked the melody because of how happy it was. He became the inspiration for the Mr. Trololo meme. He embraced it too. He loved it.
