I go to Golden Corral every now and then with a friend. I'm a bit surprised however that their Pot Roast is one of the worst items on their menu. In my humble opinion, it's quite tender and delicious. Just saying. I'm surprised that their Meatloaf or their Chicken and Dumplings didn't make the list as their best items.

The Golden Corral in my city used to have a chocolate fountain and I enjoyed it. Well, since the pandemic began as well as the renovations of my local Golden Corral, the chocolate fountain is completely gone and replaced with a few desserts pre-dipped in chocolate. I bet most Golden Corral locations got rid of their chocolate fountains after COVID. People would get really sick if they still have the chocolate fountains in their locations today. I still miss the chocolate fountain, but there are always other ways to enjoy melted chocolate in a safe and sanitary way. 😊

As a food inspector I asert that your claims that the chocolate fountain could make someone sick is highly dubious at best. Even with that beeing said I still wouldn't go for more then one or 2 strawberries due to the richness of it.

And by the way if people get up and walk somewhere else make sure they're gone before you take the stuff off the tables just cause there's a banana sitting on the table don't mean they're gone if there's a biscuit on a napkin don't mean they're gone it probably went to get new more food or in the bathroom takes longer your workers are too busy talking to each other and customers and he's not saying do you need anything or asking all kinds of stuff instead of keeping the tables clean keeping everything wiped down like salt and pepper shakers

Nowadays, the Old Country Buffet chain seems to have disappeared, but Golden Corral apparently has survived. Perhaps it would be worth trying again sometime?
The last time I ate at the old country buffet was in Fredericksburg Maryland some years ago. The food was good. Too bad that restaurant chain went out of business in Pennsylvania long before. I do eat at Golden Corral now and then when I can afford it.
I actually like Golden Corral, they have a lot of choices. I think their best dishes are their meatloaf, pot roast, roast turkey, fried catfish, baked tilapia, and their bourbon chicken. They offer a lot of side dishes to choose from, their salad bar is incredible, and they have a lot of good dessert choices; their carrot cake is incredible!

There supposed to reopen them apparently! But, the last time, I ate at a Golden Corral, all the food was ice cold! I don’t think no one wants to go to restaurant and expects to get ice cold food that they aren’t willing to reheat!

I agree. I ate their pot roast and thought it was really pretty good. Like you I thought it was tender and not a lot of fat.
The Pot Roast isn't as tender as homemade but still is my favorite choice at Golden Corral.❤
