To the negative comments here, it's not supposed to be the Four Seasons. Golden Corral is a more affordable place geared towards blue collar workers, lower and middle income class, students, etc. Our family used to be poor and places like Old Country Buffet, Shoney's, Ponderosa were a once every few months special thing. We would go after church at the end of breakfast and get the lunch menu items 20 minutes later. The good ol' days.
Same it was a after church spot for most families. It was affordable and everyone got full. It was better back in the day, but I do think it's still worth going depending on the one you go to. I still love breakfast, but most only do it Sat & Sun I rather go during the week because it's always crowded.
@Mark Agreed, as you know, we've been to all kinds of buffets at all price points. That said, we enjoyed GC for what it is. As one commenter pointed out, GC is better than some of the comparatively priced buffets on the Vegas Strip, that says it all.

Golden coral is the closest to a home cooked Sunday dinner with all the trimmings. All you can eat for reasonable pricing and delicious prepared food. Breakfast lunch and dinner 🌟

My grandkids call it "The Golden Trough." It's their favorite place to eat because they get to choose whatever they like.
I used to go to Golden Corral after church when I was a kid. Glad to see it’s still good after 20+ years.
See their commericals all the time. Yeehaw!!! A really good buffet without having to go to Vegas. This looks like a monthly trip.... or every 2 weeks.😋😋

I concur with Bill and Lisa's assessment of Golden Corral. I've eaten at locations in Nebraska, Utah and Southern California and they're very consistent and quality-focused for such a small price. The Bellflower, California location they were at happens to have outstanding service.
I use to work at Golden Corral. I used to love the Bourbon street chicken and carrot cake.

Our friends use to own a Golden Corral Restaurant in Sacramento , Ca. and yes their foods were very tasty and the selections they offered were a lot more at that time the drinks were included and the price was about 15.00 per person , then Covid hit …….it’s great to see that some of them stayed in business , and quality is the same . 👍
I’m in Bakersfield and we still have Golden Corral open. We have only one so it’s always busy. So many businesses closed due to Covid but never opened back after that. We were in Utah and then Wyoming during Christmas and there are still signs of shops and restaurants, looking to hire anyone because they were so low on staff. It’s like some people don’t want to go back to work. Now, I’m hungry after watching this video and it’s after midnight lol
Our CC closed as well due to Covid and didn't reopen. It's probably a good thing for me since I enjoy buffets too much. Sorry to the employees who lost their jobs.
@happygirl0214 The problem is the very low tipped minimum wage in most states. No one wants to work for that and it is even worse at a buffet where many people feel they do not need to tip.
Yeah 20 dollar all u can eat frozen seafood and canned vegetables is yummy. Only eat steak and steak and steak at gold3n rip. Never fill on the boo boo.

The first time that y'all should The food was sweet potatoes casserole. I can't not believe that y'all have not been to eat there l have eaten there. But I really would like to go eat at the buffet's in Las Vegas. Have a good time and God bless the both of u always 🙏. 😊
Golden Corral is pretty good in my area. I usually stick to a few items. Fried chicken and chicken strips. Pot roast, Meatloaf, fried shrimp, and Steak. Also I add cheddar and broccoli soup to the baked potato.😊

My belief is that nothing happens by chance. You came to mind today after I had not watched one of your videos for a while....then I found this video. The Golden Corral near me closed some time ago and I miss it. I used to go with my lady friend, whose memorial service is later today. Thank you for an excellent video and for bringing back memories for me.

We've had a GC in town for the last 40 years, been eating there at least once a week for the last 30 years, they rarely disappoint The salad bar is always on point! And when the manager keeps a thermometer in his shirt pocket you know you're eating safe clean food.
You should get a Golden Corral pin after that much commitment. Congratulations.
Their fried fish is usually Atlantic Pollock

They had one in Sierra Vista, AZ when I was at FT Huachuca for MIOTC and MIOAC in 1989-90. There was a buck board out front, and I always thought of it as "The Golden Cart" rather than the "Golden Corral."
There was one in Fayetteville when I did IMA at FT Bragg in 2002.

I highly recommend Golden corral for taking your entire family is definitely one of the best places to go because they have the best variety for adults and children and great service at least we do in Idaho!
We love Golden Corral, we are in Alberta, Canada and the closest one to us in Great Falls, MT closed permanently😢 after 2020. We miss it so much it was definitely a must on weekend trips.

I used to go to the Hometown Buffet in Burbank, which is actually a Golden Corral division till they closed them down. Same food here as there. They do buy the lowest quality of food, and selections are carb heavy. The trick is to get there before the price change at 4pm for seniors and pay $15 and hang out till after dinner and just have water.

I like Golden Corral most of the time. I think the key is getting there before the crowd. I love their breakfast bar. That’s my favorite. Thank you for reviewing a place that is easy to find and accessible. You two are so real and easy to watch. I look forward to seeing what comes next!

I'm in the next city, and have never been to Golden Corral. Might be time for me to check it out! As for the meatloaf, my neighbour always gets some to go. He stashes it in the fridge swearing it makes awesome meatloaf sandwiches.
Our experience at golden Coral was positive also. Fried chicken our favorite, carrot cake is on point. Fried okra good, fried shrimp good…so everyone give it a try.❤
We'd like to go back and maybe try their breakfast.
For the price Golden Corral is hard to beat. The fried chicken is awesome.

Last time I was at Golden Corral (so many have closed in our state) I made a piggy of myself on Bourbon Street Chicken, fried fish & pickled beets.
They're closing because most people prefer GOOD food!
proof that you can still have a decent buffet even with simple food on the menu. Attention to quality is EVERYTHING. I wish more restaurants would understand this. though it does look like they slightly over cook all of the meats.
You don't know the half of it in most restaurants!
wish Golden Corral would come here to Hawaii ... jealous whenever I see their commercials on tv,, guess if they do come here, the cost for buffet would start at about $27.99 or higher...

We've been to the one in North Highlands a few times since it opened. It's kinda hit or miss. We like to go for breakfast about a 1/2 before lunch that way we get breakfast & lunch options. :) My favorite is their potroast!
Golden Corral buffet was awesome. It was here in St Petersburg on Ulmerton Ave but it's gone now. Only place it's at is Tampa to far away from me . I miss it so much😢.. Golden Corral was my husband's and mine first date in California 24 years ago.

Another great video!!! This is just 10 minutes from my house! Pass by it all the time but never tried it. Everything looked good actually for an affordable buffet. Wasnt sure if they were going to reopen after the pandemic. Desserts always make the meal!! Thanks for trying these fun places!😊 ❤ Im surprised it was highly rated. Maybe have to try one day.😊😊 😊

Have been to a few in other cities. It can be a hit or miss but the one in my town is really good. The best pot roast and meatloaf! May have to give them a try again.

The last time I ate at Golden corral I had a horrible experience. The food was just awful. I don't mind giving it one more chance and try this things that you tried. I do remember the fish being good. I'm so glad you had a good experience and that you enjoyed it.
Quality seems to vary by location from what we see in the comments. Maybe check the reviews on a different GC, might be a better experience.
It all depends on the one that you go to. If you get bad food, talk to the Manager and tell him/her what you think about the food that you ate. Did you finish what was on your plate? Was EVERYTHING horrible? Never let something like this just slide by because a restaurant can't improve if you don't or won't say something. ❤

My all time favorites are the squash medley, imitation crab salad and I read good things about their brown gravy. I also like their turnips greens and fried chicken livers. My mouth is watering over that delicious cut of roast beef. By this time I have to save room for desert. The bread pudding is to die for. To finish my meal I had a garden fresh blue berry jello. Thanks Bill and Lisa for a great review of Golden Corral.

Good video. And I love that Lisa & Bill include a bit of everything for all tastes and budgets. As buffets go, I miss King's Table at Del Amo. Super nice people working there and my little girl (who's a grownup now) loved their desserts enough to behave herself in Sears 😂

We absolutely love GC. I mean, where can you go to even get a salad that great for a really good price??? Tommy's go-to is always the shrimp, fish, and the Bourbon Street Chicken. Mine is the salad bar first, then I hit the meats with some broccoli and collards thrown in. I absolutely love their steak, meatloaf, and fried chicken. The broccoli cheese soup is also a favorite. I like to eat that with the yeast rolls. Their Mac salad is also really, really good.
This video was so much fun to watch! We were both shouting, "try this... try that!!!" 😂
Another commenter suggested making a meatloaf sandwich with the yeast rolls! Genius! We’d like to go back and try their breakfast.
I really love that you give all types of eateries honest reviews. You certainly hit the nail on the head with this review. I often eat at GC because it's quick, easy and digestible. They do have legit fried chicken and that pasta with sausage and shrimp is tasty. Their meatloaf is surprisingly good. It's a good value. I have to try the pot roast.😊😊

Good option for people who like variety and it sounds like it was better than South Point. All buffets seem to be hit and miss but you seemed pleasantly surprised with this one. May have to give it another try!

A good option while in Vegas instead of the low rated ‘budget’ buffets on the Strip (which costs more than GC). Have you tried their breakfast? Reading some recommendations to try it.

Haven't been to Golden Corral for over 15+ years. I think the price was about $11.99, and it was fine then. The stand outs were the fried chicken and shrimp but I don't remember a grill steak station in those days. Nice to see they have senior prices.

They had a grill station at the one near me and you could even pick out which cut of meat you want I think it was only one day of the week during dinner time.
