- ***IMPORTANT** IF YOU INSTALLED THESE (OR ANY OTHER REAR SET FROM CHINA) MAKE SURE YOU USE LOCK TIGHT ON YOUR PEDAL BOLTS! OTHERWISE THEY FALL OFF WITH VIBRATIONS. ***********
Quick tutorial on how to install your brake light with a custom rear set from China. The one I bought specifically was this one :www.ebay.com/itm/Mixed-Colors-...
From ebay but I'm sure this method works with any rear set and banjo switch. Hope this helps. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Excellent video. We'll presented with no extra bs and it helped me solve my problem. Thank you.
Vic, I was just trying to figure out how I was going to rig up something on my Gix and I about had it, then you saved me bro. Whatever inspiration you were born and raised with to motivate you to willfully help others is a great quality kid, keep that sh*t up my man! Bless you and your family my friend!
Saved my life
Thanks man, I was installing them yesterday on my gixxer and thought they screwed me and that the set wasn't for my bike. Unbelievable that they don't put instructions in the box on how to do that. Thank god we have the internet and guys like you :-)))
So fuckin helpful!! DMV is making me get brake and light certificate due to low side and salvage title and thought I was screwed with these eBay rear sets and ever getting a brake light working. HUGE thanks homie!!!👍👍👊👊
Great video bro this really helped me out I was like how tf I’m gon get this to work 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Hell yeah bro that shit had me stumped too
I dont have the Chinese sets, I have Sato racing sets, but this definitely help figure out why my rear light wasn't working. Thanks bro!
Change the master cylinder to the middle hole in the foot peg so that it is more straight. Thanks a lot. I was like what the hell. How am I going to make my light work? Glad you made a video. Now it makes sense where the hydraulic thing goes.
Yes...thank you! I've got this exact set of rearsets on my watch list, n I would never have known this... Thank you again, bud!!!
+The Bike Life Sounds great!!
Thanks I seen that switch and I had no idea what to do with it your video helped a lot
thanks my guy didn't know how to install that brake light the stock one had a spring threw me all off
this video really helped me out thanks alot my friend for sharing your wisdom to our biking community
couldn't believe it was really this easy... thanks!
this video is awesome!!!! thanks for the help!!! i am putting some woodcaft rearsets on my gsxr 1000 03. i am put them on today and had troubles trying to get my tail light to work. Thanks for the help!!!
Thanks! Was looking for this!!✌️🤟
Very helpful. Thanks!
This video helped me out. Thanks
You need to move the shaft out of your rear brake slave cylinder up one hole on the brake pedal. Shouldn't be at an angle like that. It's gonna RIP the boot and leak fluid. Just fyi. Nice video tho
Thanks helped a lot!!!
Just a heads up, ==> I MP O R T A N T
Thanks for the video about the brake light issue. Does it need a return spring?
Man thanks for vid just received my china rearsets and was like wft its missing that switch
I don’t want to be a pain. But cheap rear set brake is not something u should put on your bike. Yes I go Chinese sometimes for little stuff or frame but when it’s come to safety u should always buy good quality. Seriously cheap brake on ur bike cause it’s looks cool. Anyways do you I’m gonna do me. But I got aftermarket rear set too and it’s cost me 400$ and good quality. When it’s come to safety like helmet you should never go cheap. But it’s up to you man.
Very helpful thanks
Sweet. My rearset is on the way and i have the other switch not the one you got. Video helped a lot, thanks. You should of save another $170 bucks and bought the Vortex rearsets. I was thinking about getting the chinese made ones but ended up getying vortex.
***** Thanks for the tutorial. I installed the rearsets and brake switch. No surprises, everything went smoothly. Rearsets work way better then stock. I adjusted them perfectly for my boots.
Thanks I needed this
You're welcome Virginia, glad I could help!
Im sayin when u unplugged the stock switch, you could have cut the connector off of it and spliced it to the wires on the new banjo switch then you could have had a stock connection. But cool video and thanks for the info. Im waitin on my chinese rearsets for my 06 ninja 636. I hope they work.
thanks man!
Good looking out I’ve been breaking my head trying figure it out.
for the use of locktite do u use it on all the bolts or just those small ones??
Did you need a return spring for the pedal?
nice video mate. just a quick question. ive just installed these but my brake pedel dont have a spring to bounce it back up. so the rear wheel looks. how is yours springed? same bike and same rear sets
Exactly the question I came here hoping to find an answer for!
Did you ever work it out?
Where did you mount the spring the keeps the tension on the pedal. I cant figure it out
Do you have a schematic or video how to assemble the rear set?
Did you dod a vid for the shifter side?
so you don't need the spring on the back of the original pegs? the big one not the brake light one
Who do I contact to get a prebuilt banjo bolt like that to fit my 05 yamaha r1?
How have these held up for you?! are they sturdy? I really want to buy a set but If they feel weak I'll be pissed.
I installed the banjo switch that came with it, piece of junk started leaking before I even got the bike off the lift lol. Right where the metal and plastic seem together
did the seller provide the banjo switch
I did exactly what you did and still can't get the brake light to activate. Any suggestions?
Hello dear..is the rearset good or poor quality ?!
Do you need a second banjo switch for the front brakes, to also activate the rear tailight? Thanks for the video, any feedback appreciated.
Nope u dont need that the front brake is separate
thx bro
did you used a sealing washer between the banjo and the switch ?
Supposed to have a NEW crush washer on both sides of the banjo bolt
thanks a lot i dont like the switch ..no more rear break light..i use the front either way
How did you install the shifter side rear set I’m haveing issues with it
What are you having trouble with exactly?
I’m having trouble too with the shifting rod lining up. The foot lever keeps rubbing the shifting rod idk how to get more space between them
Also what’d you do with the banjo bolt on the back of the brake lever how’s that work with the cylinder
Why would u cut the wire u could unplug the Chinese wire an plugged ur connector
question my light didnt activate....cud it be too much air in the brake line ,feels really soft
Did you find a solution to this problem? My light didn't activate either
why didnt you just cut the connector off the switch end then u could have disconnected it if u needed to
Why are you not using crush washers on the bolt?
+Vic Estevez I have now sorted mine with your help. thanks so much. great video. regards
Looks like your putting pressure on your master cylinder dude looks bent ain't it gotta be on the middle hole so it's not compressing at an angle 😕
Yo Jayden let's game share u down?
Why did you not just unplug the plug 🔌 in aN jus not splice it aN jus plug it in that’s what I’m doing with my 04 750
Because it obviously wasn't the same plug bro
I did what you did. I didn't get an activation on my brake light. Any suggestions?
I went tried like 4 different ones none work :( fml
Horrible review so many uhhh uhhh uhhh uhh.. 👎
