Mention: when you switch from vertical to horizontal and vice-versa you HAVE to recalibrate the gimbal!
To anyone with any logical thinking that should be a given. Completely redistributed the weight of
In rs 3 with special mount you must calibrate gimbal to. Notching new.
Waste of time really, just buy a camera that shoots 3:2 OpenGate 6K and you never need to shoot vertical again because you can always achieve it in post
Good review!
That's a cool gimbal ! ( I am not related to photography at all).
Gimbal is solely for videography :)
@@trstnhn yeah I know that atleast, I meant photography as a profession, while some may argue videography is different but for a lay man, they are the same. I appreciate you replying tho!
What are those arms called? Can you a link for where to find them?
What range does the 10-20mm aspc lens give you on this full-frame FX3?
Sony‘s aps-c comes with a crop factor x1.5, so it would be 15-30mm
What handles are those?
I just don’t see any major benefit over the RS3. Vertical video is 💩
do you know if the power zoom also works on the RS3?
“Bunch of other things” literally that’s it what is new about
For real I just can't justify buying new gimbals anymore, the best priced and functional ones have been made 😂
How did you powerzoom wirelessly??
He has the cable attached
Because It's working wirless when you connect via bluetooth to the camera. No Cable needed
Is it just from Sony's lens?? Or do you know if it's possible with Sigma and others?
@@creteuralexandre I Think there's just Sony Lenses wich have power zoom. But only like 2 or 3
Thanks !
This looks like an absolute cluster fuhk to deal with
what power zoom lens you got?
Qual a lente?
Also how hard/fast to recalibrate when using other lens please? If I go from a 14mm to a 55mm for eg? Not power zoom but actually changing to a new prime lens.
Amazing setup. What’s the info for your whole setup
pay DJI so it can make more military products for Chinese army.
Hey can I get your input. I have a FX30 and Sigma 70-200mm and I want to mount it on the RS4, can I replace the base plate for the gimbal to get the lens to fit it and balance well?
glad that I'm no the only one have a battery issue. Hope they will fix it in the next firmware update
I am thankful for this gimbal cause the rs3 is cheaper now
Can my small rig dual handle accessory from rsc2 still be used on rs4 ?
Is this zoom a digital zoom ou zoom lens?
You’re the man
Great video thank you. When you use the power zoom because the lens extends etc do you have to recalibrate please or does it do this automatically because of the more powerful motors?
Hey! I don't own this gimbal, so I can't speak from experience... but I do own a RS3 with a Sigma 14-24mm F2.8 (an internal zoom lens) and internal zoom lenses (such as the one he's using in the video) have a very slight shift in weight. However, it's so slight, that I've not needed to re-balance my RS3. So, I imagine it's the same on the RS4.
On that note, I've experimented with my Sigma 24-70 F2.8 external zoom lens, and even with the huge change in weight from an external zoom, I've actually had many occasions where I've not needed to re-balance my gimbal. To do this, I would balance my gimbal to 35mm, then I could comfortably zoom out to 24mm or in to 50mm with little to no trouble in the gimbal. Granted, if you intend to shoot primarily at one focal length, I'd balance your gimbal for that. But if you're mostly shooting at one focal length and occasionally need to zoom in or out for a quick shot, then I wouldn't bother re-balance your gimbal for that quick shot. Hope this helps!
@@christopheradams2645 yeah thanks so much for replying. If using a variable zoom, if I balance the gimbal for the middle lens size, (like you said 35mm) then should be good! If I use prime lens more, and switch them out like go from a 14mm to a 55mm, how fast to rebalance please?
Wow! Wish old gimbals weren't so asshole
I refused to switch to Ronin RS at first until maintaining the ronin M cost so much! lol Wow just wow
@@useditem_tk shit I forget already which one I have lol, it's the first Ronin smaller sized one
@@Jakepf very expensive, 500$ for the gimbal, extra $1000+ for accessories and still need a few more like tether controller and SDR transmission as well as the new power pass-through plate + another v-mount battery to power the SDR transmission and camera. Very expensive
@@useditem_tk the new one is very expensive? Damn that's a lot! Yeah I mean I literally only have my gimbal with no attachments or accessories. Bahaha and I already barely use it
@@Jakepf I was not planning to switch from Ronin M but its battery is not reliable. It’s kinda worth it though! I barely upload lol shoot this with Blackmagic n robin rs4 th-cam.com/video/-vvzVAy8__U/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ybs6WMH2ZBunYSdT
Super cool. But how expensive for this setup?
I've just bought it 😊
