This is the system we have all been waiting for. A true game changer that releases a ton of new creative potential especially when you are running with a small crew.
Hello @chrisherr , Thanks a lot for this very useful video . Where I can find the power hub supply you use to link the lidar and the transmitter. I bought DJI LiDAR Range Finder to Transmitter Cable Hub but this one need an external power to work. best regards
LiDAR V2 seems improved way a lot than ever , focus even further , much better compared to predecessor which have shorter range of focus. Now I guess PD Movie is time to have something new innovation to compete with DJi LiDAR
Hello great video. Unfortunately I have a problem. I have my setup as follows: dji RS4 Pro, Lidar Pro, focus motor pro on a Fuji xh2s with an Irix Cine lens on a cage I have calibrated the focus motor. In manual mode the lights on the lidar and motor are permanently red and I can focus with the gimbal wheel. However, when I switch to automatic mode, the lidar lights up green and the motor yellow. Although I have already calibrated. What could be the problem? I look forward to your feedback. Also from the community BR Tim from Germany
Any Idea when the cable hub or hand unit to high bright connector will be available? So desperately need these for a big job and I can't find any info on either 😭😭😭
is the delay of the dji video transmission a problem when pulling focus? really thinking about buying this system but i'm not happy about those usb c cables...
I tested the transmission against a teradek and it was actually slightly faster believe it or not. But if you output out of the SDI on the monitor then it adds a frame.
@@surf2summitadventure646 I don’t know, all I can say is I had two feeds from the same camera and when waving my hand through frame it appeared sooner on the DJI transmission monitor. It could be delay added by the small HD or something else. It was very very slight
The fx3 autofocus only works with sony lenses with AF built in. Lidar lets you put a motor onto any cinema lens and get autofocus. And the lidar can recognize objects outside of the field of view of the camera, so a subject could enter frame already in focus. Where as FX3 needs to have the subject in the image to grab focus onto it. + the ability to take over and manually rack to something else, just much more finesse.

Great looking video and tutorial. What wide angle lenses are you using?
Thanks! It's a tokina 11-20 T2.9
Thanks! Thing is a beautiful beast! LOL
That’s insane bro, loved the video very informative and explained everything in good detail, Take care enjoy the new setup!!!
Love a Chris Herr video dropping at 6:00am PST sharp!
If we're using the focus pro with the rs3 pro, do we need to use the handle or has the autofocus settings be updated in the rs3 pro?
hi can i connect the new Lidar to the rs3 pro??
So far this is the best video about the Focus Pro! You can easily spot the difference with TH-camrs/Reviewers versus a professional camop like Chris!

Same
@@MrMatlix I contacted DJI support and they told me that this cable is not yet for sale and that they don't have a release date...
@@redge4u thanks for info!
What’s the difference between the rs4 lidar and the rs3 lidar? Aren’t they the same?
Hey Chris, which kit includes that power hub cable? Thanks!

What's the boom op doing there I wonder (just wondering..)

Great Stuff ! Thank you !
What is the mount for focus wheel to high bright monitor? Cant find it anywhere.
Where did you find that power hub cable. I cannot find it anywhere.

Hi there, trying to find the new cable hub on the dji website and cannot find it? Can only find the one designed for the 2022 focus motor
Thank you Chris! Really helpful info.
My pleasure!
Can you power while using the RS4 pro with an anker 737 power bank ?
Nice.. one correction. The old rods are 13mm not 10mm. 👍🏿
Any clue when the lidar will be available? It’s not released yet to buy with the rs4
Check out the store link in the video, you can purchase the Creator combo or the All in one, both come with the lidar.
@@chrisherr it just gives the option to reserve it, not actually order it.
@@devilsgunner99 it looks like they’ll be shipping April 22nd
@@chrisherr awesome brother, thank you
can i use gopro on rs4 pro without adding any additional weight or without any type of problem? please reply
I would add a little bit of weight with some steel or some kind of cage for the GoPro the gimbal needs some mass to stabilize.
Which lens were yiu using fornthese test?
Looks like a Tokina cine lens. 11-20mm $2400.
I cannot get my RS4/lidar to active track even a slow walking subject, /the RS4 doesn't keep up

@@chrisherr That sounds strange but promising. Probably i will give it a try.
How is it slightly faster than a 1ms delay system like the Teradek…

Already got my shipping confirmation from B&H. Can't wait to get my hands on it!
I’m genuinely asking here, I thought the fx3 already has auto focus, why use the Lidar?

@ gotcha. Thank you for clarifying!
Is the footage showing on the rs4 screen through wifi ?
It is from the LiDAR camera and is transmitted through the usb c cable
thanks for the video
This super expensive gimbal has no AI tracking or lighting like the $50.00 gimbals now? SMH
@@donnas8408 It’s a whole different class than those gimbals.
