    Love the psychology behind some of these tips, especially the 30 degree rule and using drastically different angles to build more drama or suspense while a simple 30 deg. feels like a shift to the next thought while maintaining the same tone.

      I also use a ‘side-on’ to establish a conversation scene and as a variation perspective to break up the monotony of over-the-shoulder-shots. Do you think is a neutral way to use this perspective? Or is it too disengaged in your opinion?

    The arrow lools like you are moving forward. If you put another line and a half quater circle thingy to resemble the angle sign. Then people might not think it's movement.

    I've been an audio guy for over thirty years. I always had an interest in film but never worked on anything. I now have a collection of some handy gear and could cover several needs yet I have zero creative ideas to justify using any of it.

    Great video! You explain everything so well in your tutorials.
    I have a question though, at 4:27, you say having the horizon in the middle of the frame is useful when hiding/showing certain details of the environment. How so?

    • @SamHolland
      @SamHolland  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi. Thank you. I’m pleased you’re enjoying the videos.
      Honestly, it’s not really a rule. It really all depends what’s in the frame. In this case, it just looked better because of the height and placement of the videos and subject etc. I wanted more clear space above. No rules. Do what YOU want to see 🤩👌🏻🎥
