I can't believe that all the reviews from this gimbal are from people that don't go out of their office/studio. This is better than a review, real shots, real results, good explanation, this is video is gold.
Hey Brandon, my RS4 was delivered Saturday. Complete newbie to videography. Decent in photography. Your videos have got me moving forward faster, and I feel like you explain your reasons clearly and with a pragmatic approach. Thank you times infinity. I'm shooting on Sony a7iv and 24-70mm GMII, and you've been answering a ton of my questions.
Man, this is absolutely awesome! Seeing you explain all the settings, features and techniques while actually executing them to get some awesome shots like that is truly astonishing. Exactly what I've been looking for! I am just getting into cinematography and want a versatile gimbal that can handle my photo gear for video (a7RV + a bunch of primes). The RS 4 Combo is probably a bit more than I need starting out, but I'm a big fan of buying gear I can grow into, rather than growing out of it too quickly.
😂😂 it's great as DJI seems to bring out a gimble every year. Witch means the other ones drop in price. Just got a RC2 for £200 😂😂 thing is won't need another gimble until it breaks down and you then probably be able to buy the RC4 for the same price. Watching Brandon using his gimble is why I only get the DJI. He really is the God of Gimbles
We were just in that same location and did all the same shots with a BMPCC6K I wish I ran along side the tram that was a good shot! I did get the same corner shot with tram coming towards us Always look forward to Brandon’s new videos
Hi Brandon. Thank you for such inspirational content. While I really like the gimbal moves a lot, I fight like mad with the temporal resolution of 24fps. Watching on a large screen is distracting for me, probably because I’m SO sensitive to judder on shots where things move across the lens. Shots where you move depth in and out don’t give the judder, just left/right and up/down movement. I went to the cinema last weekend and the continual judder totally distracted me from the film. There were quite a lot of fast pans in it. So for me, it’s a continuing battle with frame rate, where I really like the look of 24fps when the camera is still but can’t stand pans or fast movement. It’s not a shutter speed thing because I’ve even resorted to 360 degree shutter in an attempt to lose judder but it doesn’t always work. 30fps also gives judder; just quicker. It’s so annoying when you are so sensitive to it. All 24fps, 25fps videos can really distract me. I wish that I could ‘unsee’ it, but I can’t!
24p is the standard frame rate for all films and narrative tv & streaming. If you prefer the look of 30p or 60p, then I suggest turning on motion smoothing on your TV and avoiding cinemas.
Great video and great camera work. I bought an open box one from Best Buy and ended up returning it. I think a lot of it was just user error or maybe because I was trying to use longer lenses and I couldn’t get it balanced properly. But it kept drifting, right or leftin unexpected ways. When I would try to turn the gimbal. I may research more and re-buy it at some point.
Hi ! ,great job bro ! Y know you job & channel for the video "Passion of Andalucía" amazing art you have we have in this channel ! Congrats ! We go for more ! ...I am chilean ,sorry for my little level English hahah . Grettings
Great video! I live in Lisbon and do a lot of shooting on my iPhone so it’s great to get some ideas in how to capture better tram shots. I noticed the people at the end waving at you 😅. They must be wondering why some crazy guy is running with a camera on a stick.
Another extremely picturesque location, just made for some kind of videography or photography, although the locals most probably don't see it as anything special!
I hate it. I think film lovers do not like it. People who swipe a lot of reels may like it, as swiping is faster when you hold phone vertically, and wide frame is smaller to see details.
Could you mix footage shot with sigma photo lenses and samyang cine v-af? I’m thinking about getting a couple of the samyang but if the look is too different it would just cause me a huge headache
I bought the RS3 when it came out, and since I always been very disappointed when looking at my files on the computer after days of shoot... I always notice this weird wobble coming from the Roll axis and I have been in contact with DJI for a year long, they've replace my gimbal twice and I never been satisfied... I also tried the RS3 Pro from a friend: Same issue. Now I just see that the RS4 does the same thing, and even handled by the amazing Brandon Li 🤣1:50 I just see this exact same Roll wobble at 1:50 in the video :/ I use to have the Weebill-S before, and I never noticed anything like that 🤔 I am pretty sure it's a design flaw from the RS series, 3 and above :/
I just bought my first gimbal. What is the lock mode and how to use it? Does it mean, the gimbal does not move? There are situations when I don’t want the gimbal to react at all.
sir can i do any apprentice or internship for you...i really liked your work ..i am a big fan of your work..i bought a7s3 and lenses after watching your videos
Hey Brandon GREAT Video :) Just a quick question I just bought a DJI RS 4, haven't even unboxed it but friends are telling me to go for the PRO! I have a Sony Fx3 with a 24-70 Sigma. PLEASE suggest!
Some guys are saying native vertical mode is not working, when balancing the gimbal. When you balancing in vertical mode with lighter or heavier lens, you feel anything like that.
I need your advice 😢 when I do an orbit shot like yours with the statue, my gimbal often over-panning and then i have to re adjust my wrist, the frame become shaky. What should I do? 😢😢

What I like about these tips is they apply to all gimbals; I'm going to use these tips on my Pocket 3 for example :)
Wow the dynamics in those frames is insane. the second camera filming Brandon is as good

Best filmmaker ever, thanks for the video Brandon
Bro you just did a masterclass on how to use the gimbal. These tips are really helpful man. I appreciate you. Hope you’re having a good night
You guys are Bros??
@@NeroMC😂😂😂
I love your technique and colors. Is there any color grading video?
Thanks, I didn’t do any grading really. Just some minor exposure curve adjustments.
Excellent mate, I always enjoy answering learn many tips and advice
I need to start pumping iron at the gym to get ready for these gimbal workouts.
I haven't watched your video from start to finish in a while. all about levels. tighter the frame the more dynamic! cheers. I'd love to be your BTS !
This is absolutely incredible. Thank you so much. I'm especially happy to learn about the panning trick. Keep up the good work.

Great tips!
Great tips ! Thx Brandon
Love from India ❤
I love to imagine your videographer running parallel to you with another gimbal setup
After watching all the Zhiyun Cinepeer videos that have been uploaded in the last 24 hours, yours is the only one I'm looking forward to seeing! 😂
So useful Brandon, thank you very much
Awesome! Going out right now to practice.
Great info! I often struggle with the looks I get when carrying/using a gimbal out in public but I'm trying my best to overcome that anxiety
Think of how cool your shots will be
@@BrandonLiUnscripted 🙏💪 thank you and keep up the fantastic work you do
that's nice. I'm going there (Lisbon) myself. I need to get my gimbalfu up. Good stuff.
Bro is a ninja
I bought the gimbal seeing your tutorials! 🥰
you're amazing, dude
That's amazing broth. I'm looking forward to their next work. 👏👏👏👏
I hope you can tell me later how to correct the slight shaking in the video in post-production!!! Thank you for always great videos!
Always love Brandon’s skills and his shot ideas
Cool! Thanks for sharing it. ✌️
Thanks !! Which Doty is it ?
We were just in that same location and did all the same shots with a BMPCC6K

LIKED IT
Hope you're having a great time in Portugal, Brandon. I actually need a new hat. Where can i get one like yours?
love you

Why does this look this beautiful?
Love your video!!
So amazing videos
Valuable tips ! Thanks !
Going to buy the rs 4, if this video was the dji ronin rs 4 pro version - would there be much difference?
The stabilization would be about the same. The gimbal would just be heavier.
Excellent video, very nicely ecplained💪🏼 Don’t have this gimbal but I will apply your tips to my DJI Pocket2😊
Same tips will work, mostly
Excellent video! Would love to see what you can do with an iphone 15 pro + Osmo Mobile 6!
On the second ground level shot, you have a very old, beautiful car in the foreground. Did you film it completely?
Sorry that’s the only shot I got! It was a beautiful car
@@BrandonLiUnscripted Ah, that's a pity.

Gimbals have a lot of quirks. If it’s your first gimbal you’ll need to learn more about proper balancing and avoiding drift
@ I watched more videos and realized I had the pan balance off. I’ll eventually get another one
So great explanation, love it :)
Maybe any one knows, is it possible use Canon R6m2 + 24-105 lens with RS 3 mini?

Awesome Brandon !!! You stay in focus manual and 6.3 during all the video ? 😉
Mostly manual focus locked-off, mostly f4.5 - 6.3

Great tips! However the lens is not very good. This set up with a Zeiss Batis 25mm would be really great
I do private photograph tours with tourists in that area. What a bummer haven't met you

Very cool videos 😃. Hope your knees are strong as a rock 🙌

I will never understand how people like vertical videos.

If you don’t need additional accessories like focus pro - then I would use regular rs4 because it’s a lot smaller
@@BrandonLiUnscripted Thanks so much. That surely makes sense and I appreciate your advice :)
why do you have some black tape in the back of your lcd screen?
🔥🔥

Bad knee, mo more gimbals for me; great video though!
You can do a lot of gimbal movements without bending or walking. Maybe I’ll do a video about that
me too😏

Use a slightly wider lens, orbit a bit slower. If your framing isn’t perfect you can reframe in post by cropping and zooming
what about the deadband
24p, so how do you get it looking slow
