Thanks for this video, and researching it properly. It's good to see both sides of a story, and this is very unusual on TH-cam, it adds a lot to your credibility. It's been useful to me
I’ve been drinking Kefir daily for maybe 1.5 years. I’ve had moderately high LDL for many years. My last blood test for the first time in maybe 20 years was all in the Normal range. I kept thinking it was the Kefir. You basically confirmed my thoughts. Thank you!
I make my own kefir every evening and divide it and give it to friends and family. I started it on A2 full cream milk , then graduated it to plain full cream homogenised milk, then to lite milk. It is still happy and growing, as long as I sit it in a warm water bath, which I change twice per day, as it is winter where we live. My whole family love it and I have been surviving on gaviscon for years, for gord and a hiatus hernia. I have not had to reach for the gaviscon once.... the pain and burning sensation have gone. They are replaced however with the occasional burp. It seems to have regulated waste elimination also. I bought the little silicone fermentation lids that let the gas out of the jar and to not let much else in. I was worried about contamination from a part open lid. The silicone fermentation lids work splendidly. I got mine on Temu and cut them down for smaller jar diameters. We all love our kefir and have named it Lovey because it shows its love for you by working away through every night and day, inside and out.
LDL itself isn't bad cholesterol, it serves a function. It's the density of the different types of LDL which has cause for concern, the small dense particles of the LDL are responsible for damage.
i just bought a bottle for the first time omg this stuff is so rich and good if you like the aftertaste of a cheese curd / milk you will love it !!! Has a slight tangy fermented taste but so thick. Just love it. I also drink buttermilk.
I used to drink Lifeway too, until about 5 years ago when I ordered some live grains and started making my own. It's like having a pet, you have to keep the grains alive, it doesn't take much effort, but you to do it every day!
Lifeway is better than not consuming kefir, but the benefits are far better when you make your own or buy some from someone that makes it at home if you don't want to make your own.
I tried UHT milk but found out the kefir became really small, then I used full cream milk and the Kefir came back to life, I then bought the expensive full cream cold pressed raw milk and this was the best out of all and the kefir grains were large and multiplied enormous. Now I only use the raw milk all the time. Great video young lady, thank you 🥰
I had my first kefir today at 23, I’ve always had problems with bloating, feeling not full and after taking alli (orlistat) to try lose some weight, it just made my bowel movements worse. I don’t eat a lot of food and I’m in an healthy bmi, but I’ve always had a love hate relationship with my tummy, especially as a woman. I think the taste is a bit hard to deal with at first, but I have never felt so full !! I always wanted something sweet after or a drink with some fruit flavour. I don’t want to snack !! I think this is really gonna help me, I’m eating it with oat chunks and some chocolate pieces, which helps with the taste. Please try it !
There are different sizes of LDL particles. It is the smaller ones or bullet sized LDL that are dangerous.LDL particles vary in size, ranging from small, dense “Pattern B” particles to large, buoyant “Pattern A” particles
I have been making milk kefir now for a little over two months. It is easy and inexpensive to make at home. I feel my gut is better and I believe my immune system will be much stronger this winter.
REMEMBER: PATENTS PAY FOR STUDIES "More studies are needed" or "supporting its use is limited" and it will always be so. That's because it's a non-patentable food, that actually has the potential to compete with the highly profitable patented RXs. You can't make much money unless you can get a patent, and in the US, our FDA process requires millions in testing, in order to get it adopted as a 'standard of care' that enables Drs to prescribe it. And almost no one is going to pony up for food that they can't make a lot of money from. As a former pharma exec once told me, 'No patent, no profit. No profit, no paycheck.'
I’m using goat milk. The grains have not grown very much. I’m currently using 1 cup of goat milk. I don’t have separation with the milk, whey and grains, they are not curds. What am I doing wrong? Is it possible I received a bad batch? I’ve never done this before. Is goat milk a good option? Can I use the same grains and use grass fed cow milk? I feel lost, I don’t know what to do. Can you please help? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
You can use any cows milk with your grains. I just started making my own. First time I left it to ferment for 48 hours and then discarded the over fermented milk. I repeated it for another 48 hours with more milk, then I started doing it every 24 hours and it tastes fine. It can take a week or two for the grains to " settle into " their new home and if it's cold it will take longer than 24 hours and if its hotter than 18 to 22 C it will take less. Don't let the sun shine on it.
Two questions: 1. Do kefir probiotics provide the same types of bacteria human gut is supposed to have? 2. During fermentation, tighten the lid of the jar or put it on loosely? I find conflicting directions online.
1. Yes 2. I prefer to tighten the lid to prevent any spoilage during fermentation. But I always leave some space for the kefir to expand. Hope this helps.😊
I love kefir but it pushed my blood pressure to low as I do have low blood pressure already what can I do to keep drinking it and keep my blood pressure from dropping to 90 ?
I used to make and drink kefir on a daily basis and never suffered from stomachaches. For the past two years I’ve hardly made and consumed kefir. I’ve been suffering too often with stomachache and have decided that I’m going to make it a habit to consume kefir daily to avoid all stomachaches. It’s worth the extra effort of making your own kefir. 😊
Add some blueberries to your kefir and it will help with E coli for sure! I was having big issues with E coli in my urinary tract, getting kefir + blueberries my issues disappeared.
@@Lory27-d9g really ? Am dying In pain with recurrent uti and feeling to end my life as I can’t deal this anymore as doctors say my immunity is too low for which I get recurrent uti ! Hi, it sounds great, how much Kefir should I drink every day? I started having 3 onzas every day for two weeks but I have been feeling bloated lately I do not know if it is too much. Also how much grains of kefir do we need to add to milk? The more sour the better? How long do I have to leave it before drink it? Sorry about any grammar mistakes ❤ Love from Spain?
Hi,I would suggest between 1/3rd and1/2 a pint daily to be consumed, information videos say around 2 x tablespoons per litre or 2 pints of organic whole milk and leave for 24 hrs in a cupboard and dont be afraid to stir it in the process it encourages the fermentation, hope this helps 👍

Use more fat like cream makes it less sour

Hi, how long last kéfir in your gut after drinking it ?

How much and how often should you take Kefir? It seems you gut would not need new microbe every hour or day. Once a week?

But how can kefir have more k2 vitamin than the milk its made off. Does kefir make k2 vitamin
Cheers to Milk Kefir :)
If you have stomach issues it's worth drinking it everyday.
How about kefir for weight loss? Does the research show a benefit for weight loss or no?
Yes!❤
The number 1 reason is because of the taste.....

I use Natures promise organic Kefir. Its amazing!
What I wonder about is that there are a number of claims that kefir does aid in E. Coli yet your video says no. Who to believe an importantly why?
Add some blueberries to your kefir and it will help with E coli for sure! I was having big issues with E coli in my urinary tract, getting kefir + blueberries my issues disappeared.

Is plant based coconut milk kefir better/worse than milk kefir?
Not as many cultures so not as healthy, grains are use to cows milk for thousands of years, plant based will kill them
