I just want to thank you for showing everything about the horses, what to look for what to not be concerned about, essentially the good bad and ugly. If I knew back in the mid-seventies when we had horses, what I have learned now with you, watching the care of Friesians, and Horse Plus, maybe I would have done things differently. 🤔😢 Big thank you!
Suggestion: have peppermint discs handy when the vets are there trying to evaluate. Give the horse a peppermint and it distracts them, and keeps them concentrating on the peppermint👍🍀🇺🇸
Jo, We know it is not easy for you to be part of those sweet mares, final moments. We also know that their family was better off for your attendence. You show intellegence and love everywhere you go. ❤❤❤❤
LL was so cute and excited to get a rider and go for run 😂. No effort was made to shake Rae. It was like LL had a friend he missed to play with finally.💕
I think you are the most interesting program. I have learned so much. I am impressed with all you do. I really want to know the progress of Bobby McGee and his mother Janis. That story has touched me so much.
L.L. reminds me of a little bay Paso Fino I had. They have the sweetest, puppy-dog temperament when working with them on the ground, but as soon as you get in the saddle, they say “How far?”
If you get some horses that are blind in one eye and play up please try putting a blind fold over his eyes then try working them with word commands and by touch with your hands on the side that you want them to turn and you are gaining the horses trust to by showing the horses that you are not going to hurt them when you are working with the horses
Y'all are my favorite horse rescue. I just wish you were not so far away. I live in NW Alabama about 2 hrs south and near MS. Iwould love to volunteer for y'all. Nikki and Picalo are such pretty mares. Babies soon.I see the weather is nuts there as here. Be safe guys.
Hi! I'm sure they are pricey, but have you seen the livestock holders that close & flip the cattle on their sides with their fee out to make trimming & hoof care safer & easrier for dangerous animals? You guys are such an inspiration! 🎉Wish I had the $ to do what y'all are doing!
My friend had a horse that did not like it when the ground was to hard and her leg use to swell on the back leg and when the ground was wet the swelling use to go away
Is it best to buy clippers at a feed store or someplace like that or at a beauty supply? I’m thinking the feed store might be stronger. I don’t know if anybody know. Queen Latifah looks much better, but she still has a way to go with that white look how good she is how well she’s minding.
#1. Your site subscription I have to keep resubscribing to. #2. Mites - On Working Horses with Jim his Percheron Buck (now passed from colic) would get mites that Jim per his vet would treat with cattle de-wormer (purple in color) that worked well. His Suffolk Punch Baron now has Bucks old stall and got mites. Can stalls harbor mites and would you need to follow a protocol to eradicate? P.S. Also saw on a farrier site trick that makes a horse stand still (if physically able to stand on one leg) owner would hold up one leg to show leg conformation without horse moving leg around. Remington bursa ultra sound could this trick been used so vet could get test done easier without so much moving leg?
Last I saw they were going to keep Envy, the husband even got attached and enjoyed riding but ur right it doesn't seem that we have seen her in a while. Maybe just because it's winter and their personal horses are out in a pasture together... maybe not the best mud for trail riding yet, have to keep an eye out for her.
Have you considered putting blinders on the horses so they only see in front of them rather than full-view? I don't know if it would work but worth a try?
Check out Homestead horsemanship. They have a Clydesdale named Oliver. They are looking for a friend for him. It's worth a chat. They are very nice people. They raise Missouri fox trotters to show and bread.
I will try to say this without judgement. I have always struggled with horse owners who choose to either give their horse to a kill shelter or surrender them when they are at a point in life with their issues when they should be humanely put down. 😢
What gets me is the horrible condition they have allowed their Horse to fall into, they don’t get off the hook by surrendering their Horse to a kill Shelter, the owners should be jailed for the condition they’ve let their Horse get into , HELLO you have a 1600 lb Animal in the Barn that needs good nutrition, Vet services once or twice yearly, feet checked 2 times/year Brushed out once a week teeth floated every 6 months, Regular Exercise! and on an on!
Just a little viewing tip, always make sure to have a clean lense when filming, once and twice is okay, but when it's a whole hour of light strikes, it really difficult to watch and enjoy. Don't want you to lose views because of it.
I think one of the BEST horse TH-cam channels - Keep up the good work 🙂
Horse plus is good too!
Try horse plus~ they are great as well! Anyone who saves a life is amazing and a blessing!
Agree one of the best 👏🏻👏🏻love the way the horse always comes first ❤️
I totally agree ❤
Completely agree..along with horse Plus which is how l found Pony Tales
.Fletcher Farms Amarillo who rescue Drafts..
The Belgian horses are my favorite ❤️ ❤❤❤
Oh, that poor horse with the mites on her legs! Bet that shave, scrub, and sulfer pedicure felt EXCELLENT on her itchy itchy legs!❤
Great job Dr Dave, Dr Kristin, and Team Pony Tales! Y’all are amazing.❤️🙏
Thank you for all you do for these angels
Dr Dave, you are an exemplary person in the care and detail you share during evaluations. Total respect to you, from a horseman in New Zealand.

So glad the 2 pregnant mares are in a safe place to have their foals.

I forgot Butterscotch discs are also good👍🍀🇺🇸
Interesting.
Mandalay is so cute getting rolling. He looks in pretty good condition.
Just love Dr Dave and Dr Kristin. They are so carefull whit the horses and speak to them all the time. You do an amazing job at Pony tail.

tip from Alaska - using the claw end of a hammer to tap out ice balls in hooves is pretty efficient

Mandaley was saying "Aww man Brooke, i needed to really, really get to that other side! Nice job you Pony Tales Refuge people, all of you.
Great episodes! These docs are wonderful!! ❤❤❤
Love watching Pony Tails! You guys go way beyond with some of these babies. Loved seeing you on HPHS , that was too much fun.
My therapist eats hay... Haha! Brilliant hoodie :-) I love the teams vibe. Thanks Pony Tales for your amazing work!
I seen you looking for nails and screws on the ground get you a strong magnet on a string swing back and forth while you walk the field
L.L. reminds me of a little bay Paso Fino I had. They have the sweetest, puppy-dog temperament when working with them on the ground, but as soon as you get in the saddle, they say “How far?”
Thank you for sharing the exams. Ice complicates everything.🐴
U guys come up with the best names:)

This was really great, you guys! Excited for part 2 !! 🤸🤸🤸
Thank you!
Jo in Michigan 🌊
Mandylay is showing you no respect, Brook!! 😂😂❤❤ The orange or pink bridal she placed on LL is really pretty on him.
Make sure to cool the blades occasionally, they do get hot!!!
Dang I cannot hear over those birds lol
love what you do!🙏💫🌼🤍🕊️🕯️✨
Why doesn't Rae appear require a horse to stand still for mounting? That can be really unsafe. It doesn't take too much to teach them correctly.
I always love Mandalay
Yay Kristen’s in the house !!!
❤ Love what you guys do. ❤ I can’t wait to watch part 2. You guys are truly amazing. Scott from Bonnie Scotland 🏴 ❤❤❤
Way! Another Scot here from the West Coast :-)
Thank you for recuse beautiful horses 🐎 life's matters angels 😇 life's matter 🐒 🙈 God's all animals 🙏 life's matter God bless 🙌 🙏 ❤️
Cannot wait for Part 2

I would love to move up there and work for you guys I can’t stand the cold lol !!
I love your new opening!!
Your amazing heroes!

You guys are such an inspiration! 🎉Wish I had the $ to do what y'all are doing!
Dang, i really missed out on LL Cool J😢😢 i wanted him so bad and i wanted a speed horse😢
My friend had a horse that did not like it when the ground was to hard and her leg use to swell on the back leg and when the ground was wet the swelling use to go away
Love your channel enjoy watching it. Keep up the good work.
Love what you guys do
I love this show! Something’s different with the sound this week, it’s flatter and hard to hear what people are saying.
Ooof that draught really needed tht mite treatment on her legs, bet she felt better one that was done!
LL would love endurance I think LoL 😉

I think it is better to mount from a block if possible otherwise you are putting stress on the withers time after time!

LL Cool j looks like he might have paso fino in him though I'm no expert.
What a great channel. Never miss it. Do you still have Envy or did she get adopted?

Maybe just because it's winter and their personal horses are out in a pasture together... maybe not the best mud for trail riding yet, have to keep an eye out for her.
She is here and with the personal horses. Nate adopted her.
@@PonyTalesRefuge Yes! I'm so happy to hear that! She's really special. Good move Nate.
Poor girl

When is the new season of videos going to be out ?😢
❤
Have you tried using hand warmers for the ice?

I think Mandalay has possibly had liberty training
How's momma horse Nikki
❤❤
LL acts like a toddler that has been inside all day and then finally got to go outside with all of that energy to burn!!!!!
What does the title mean? Sorry I don’t get it!
It looks like you need a new ferrier. He is too drama
Must be so painful to have a piece of steel nail on their feet in the ice and snow frozen … no wonder horses have arthritis and painful feet.
I’ve got to know., because I love the original…..Why Queen Latifa?
I think they had a whole bunch from an auction that were all musicians names. There was a Drake, and a bunch of others!

I'm not sure what you're talking about: Is this the end...?
