Bob barker will be missed by everyone in this world because he had a very kind heart to the animals in this world that are in need of a helping hand when they are homeless and sick
Don't go over the top. The vast majority of people in the world will have never heard of him. I only heard about him from this channel after he died. America is not the world.
You have totally honored Bob Barker’s gift and memory. A spay and neuter program in an under served area is just what he’d like. He made the perfect selection.
Even though it is terrible to get so many last act of kindness horses in a load, it is also good that someone is bringing these horses that their probable original owners didn’t take care of to you so that their suffering may be relieved and they don’t go to slaughter. Even if they are doing it for money, it is still a positive for the horses themselves.
Breaks my♥ ... abused and broken ... in pain, scared, confused, starving, dehydrated ... I look at the eyes and see fear; BUT they are finally in horse "heaven" where they are going to be cared for - one way or the other. God bless HP!
Whether in quarantine or in the vet barn, the horses look so much more content than the trailer or auction. It's like they can instantly feel that they have their own space to be themselves. And the cookies don't hurt. Even in the last act of kindness situations, they seem content.
I cried during your honoring of Bob Barker. Animals truly HAVE lost a champion with his passing. . . I don’t think the enormity of his contribution can be measured. The Pride you must feel in being recognized by his trust. All your hard work and commitment Tawnee & Jason. Well Done. XOXO’s
I'm really happy that the Mayor of your area there in Lewis County, TN came to the ceremony in Bob Barker's memory! In these rocky times, I'm sure it is a great support to HPHS, as well as a tribute to all your hard work. Well Done.
I'm watching the 2nd half of this the next day ~ and, it just occurs to me that---while everyone has been all upset about being banned from the auction---you have developed an INCREDIBLE replacement strategy. And, it has got to be a co$t saving change, doing it this way. You're saving on gasoline costs, no hotel bills for overnight stays, or feeding yourselves on the road. All that money spent on covering those things has been flipped into buying more horses, who are in just as much need. And, since your facility is equipped for humane euthanasia, it seems like your whole operation has been STREAMLINED to fulfill its mission far more effectively. And now, by building an area spay/neuter clinic------JUST WOW!!!
Your farrier is terrific. If I ever win the Lotto, you'll be hearing from me. Such a worthy cause. So much more meaningful than "Free Spirit Equestrian".
What a beautiful man he was doing good when he was alive and now sadly when he rests. If only more people had his level of compassion for kindness just imagine what a better world we all would have?!
Tawnee, have you ever thought about inviting some the law makers to a buyout so they could get a visual view of the conditions of the horses you get. Maybe then they would be more apt to changing the laws to help PRESERVE & PROTECT THESE MAGNIFICANT ANIMALs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent suggestion! Eyewitness observation (by the animal protection services agency members )of this process is vital . Thank you for bringing this up!
LOVE this idea! Maybe start with the state and once you've practiced on them, move up to the federal mentioning to the congressmen that you've already shown this to the state of Tennessee.
I'm not sure which video it was but kory was saying that some of the donkeys were going to columbia. Heads up there are alot of men in columbia that have donkeys as sex pets. And pimp out the donkeys for money. It's bloody sick but thought you should know,
I think it will be awesome for you to have a climate- controlled intake. Not just for cold weather, but when it is rainy and/or windy, or the sun is beating down. You will love it, I am sure.
You were in Bob Barker's will??!? Thats incredible ❤❤❤❤ He was an amazing champion for animals I adore you guys! I've been watching for a long time and am so impressed with all you've done Tawny! Opening a Bob Barker spay and neuter facility is a beautiful way to honor his legacy ❤️
Cleopatra is being such a good patient and her infected leg looks alot better, she is amazing, such a DOLL ! ❤ You guys are great, have followed you guys for a couple of years !
Such incredible news!! Big things are happening at HPHS. That Mama dog had a safe, warm place to have her babies. You could just see it in her eyes. ❤❤
These 2 vets are great. I saw another lady vet on your older videos who surely is a great vet but I found her way to speak about the horses that looked horrible in a very "lax" which to me was a clear indicator she shouldn't be working with rescue horses from the slaughter pipeline. As a P.A I work with critically ill patients and working with humans we also recommend people who deal with patients that are this critical to change to another medical field when they aren't able to show and express the necessary decorum and verbal decorum anymore. This doesn't make them bad people but seeing this type of suffering; you 💯 need to recover your emotional caring self in order to stay on treating this type of suffering. So I am glad she works elsewhere able to recover herself and apply her skills at the same time ♥️
OMG, that poor horse is only 5 or 7 and look what he has been through, my heart is broken for the sweet horse. When will they figure out HOW to fix a horses leg. I saw a horse with a prosthetic running, I was gobsmacked WHEN I SAW THE HORSE running ! It will happen ! Technology can do so much, nothing is impossible. 💕👍😊
Prostheses are not comfortable even for humans. It's not a miracle cure. The limb has pressure in places it shouldn't and sometimes even humans have to go without the prosthesis for a while to let the skin heal from all the pressure.
I remember watching Bob Barker hosting Truth or Concequences. That dates me as pretty old. He was one of the best TV hosts ever. To be remembered in his will is such an amazing thing. From the West Coast of our country to the East Coast his legacy will live on helping animals of all kinds. 😊 ❤ 🐎 🐴 🏇 🐕 🐶 🐈 😻 🐈⬛️ ❤
Dr. Lydia is such a great Woman !! Down to earth and she helps everywhere she can . ❤ thank you so much Dr.Lydia !! Best regards from Vienna. Ur my Idol
Wow, thrilled to see you using honey as wound treatment! I’ve seen that stuff work miracles on both humans and horses!! I really hope you can recover that beautiful draft mare ❤ I’m so glad you guys can do on site labs, that must be SO nice for you! Edit: Cleopatra?!? 😍 great name!!
Congratulations, on the Bob Barker endowment. What a great recognition of HPHS’s vision and hard work. It’s wonderful that you can now add a spay and neuter clinic for the community. It will help the animals and help with community out reach.
What a difficult rescue day for sure! So many critical horses all at once. How many horses are jammed into a Semi-truck load? I've seen some in videos and they look like sardines all packed together. Just horrible for them!
When the first horse given the last act of kindness was shown, I was quite literally wincing for the poor fella! The poor guy had to be in unbearable pain ❤😭 A side note is: I haven’t watched the show since about season two and it’s unbelievable how far things have come! ❤❤ You guys all do such amazing work!
The 1st Standardbred is Mr Cornbread, 7 yrs old. I'm sorry you were treated poorly before you arrived at HPHS. Standies truly are the best horses. RIP fella ❤ The 2nd Standie is most likely Flashes Player, based on the freezebrand.
More low cost spaying and neutering is really needed across the US. I see so many stray cats in my area, and people dumping puppies and kittens. i live in a small town and the local vets are very expensive. We had an elderly vet that used to take whatever you could pay him for small animals as he made his money in cattle. He was so sweet i wish we had more vets like him.
It feels like we've have watched this same group of houses several times already.. I love your channel just confused why the same horse's last few videos..
The first time was a preview filmed by Jason on his IPhone - it was not a full intake, but we saw it earlier then we would otherwise, then the second time was a full intake video which was a lengthy video about each and every horse, and the third time was a classic episode where we got to see the highlights of the intake, not everything from the second video was featured in the third. I personally feel like it’s important to showcase the horrific abuse going on at the auctions so I don’t mind that it was shown three times so that more people see it (not everyone is watching every single episode) hope this helps! 💖
I feel so bad for these abused/neglected horses. But when I see the care that all of you working together can accomplish I know you've done the best you can for them. I'm grateful to you all.
i dont know how u all do this..huggs to u all..karmas gonna find these people sum time in their life time 4 what they have let happen to these beautiful souls.ty so much to u n bob barker
The people who float these horses to the buy out if you have a big load of horses just do two loads that way the horses do not go to the ground and get badly injured because of over loaded the horses deserve to have a life and if they get badly injured they will have to get the last act of kindness
I suspect the dealers that bring these horses do not care that their trailers are overloaded. The horses are just lucky that the trailer ended up at Horse Plus rather than an auction.
Congratulations Everyone in Horse Plus Humane Society on rescuing 38 different horses and 18 of them had to be given the last act of kindness! Also, I am so happy that the mamma dog and her 12 adorable puppies are in foster care now! I am so excited to see all of the new projects that are happening at Horse Plus Humane Society! 🤠❤❤❤❤❤
Cold water is immensely painful on a wound. I understand about the reduction of swelling though. Thank y'all so much for all of your hard work getting and keeping these horses well.
The death penalty is pretty much gone in the USA for most murderers of humans, so I doubt it would work for animals. But to have that person do a ton of community service somewhere where they don't want to be... say picking up trash along the highways or some other odious task AWAY from animals might work, along with a hefty fine. By a TON of community service, I'm talking WAY more than 40 hours, maybe 100+. Plus they don't get to choose the community service they want to do, the judge decides that.
Wonderful privilege to get to watch you all work. I am excited with you all watching this barn change. God bless, will, pray that it all comes together for the good of all.
God bless you for everything you do and forgiving the 16 horses the last act of kindness I can't believe people would not do that on their own and send them to auction to suffer. Unconscionable. 💕🐎💔🌹
💔 Did you get the info from the brand on that lovely bay Standardbred gelding in the beginning? Would love to at least know his name... Thank you for taking such gentle care of him. He felt your love and compassion. 💔 🩵☘️🥀
Love the Buyout Program…there are so many young Horses coming through that have a long lease on life now instead of being shipped and starved from Auction to Auction and finally slaughter…I don’t want to sound critical, but the chestnut mare looked so thirsty she wanted to drink out of the puddle….arent there any water tanks were they can drink from when they arrive ?❤
I've had horses for over 50 years, though I don't have any more. Through those years I have decided that horses are an accident waiting for a place to happen. They can and do get hurt even in the safest place you can make.I met a woman who had a pony get her head stuck between the branches of a tree! Fortunately for her, she was a calm pony and waited for her owner to come and get her unstuck. They had to use a saw to release her as the branch that held her head was thick enough and she weighed enough that they couldn't lift her up high enough to get her loose. I suspect that the stock tanks that they would have to get in place could get in the way of the horses moving off the trailers and through the runs. I don't know if you noticed, but there was one mare that got cast (stuck) where she couldn't get up and had to have help by Kory and another man in order to stand. In that tight of an area, with the horses getting off the trailer and milling around, a full stock tank can be a formidable thing to get cast against. I've seen one buy out trailer where there was a pony who got cast in the trailer and trampled. He got the last act of kindness right away. They may have a stock tank further down and, once they are examined, they are turned out into pasture where there are stock tanks. Hope this helps.
It took me so long to get over the loss of my beautiful horse. He was an ex racehorse, and because we grew up on a farm where many racehorses were homed, with so much space and close to the beach, the owner gave him to me. I adored him. I guess the pain still hasn't gone. Its beyond my mind that a person could abuse an animal.
Another terrific video! Oh how I wish I could have been there for the Bob Barker donation celebration! What an amazing gift and HPHS is so deserving. I'm grateful for your wonderful media staff that films and dcuments these events so we can at least watch the celebration online. Thank you to your entire staff for ALL that you do for animals! ❤
If I may, I have watched a girl from Montana and her equine dentists used the top of the doorway of the stall to hitch up the horses head, as they are so heavy, I thought that was a good idea.
It is, but with the unknown horse's temperament, it can be dangerous. The horse can pull back hard enough to break the post and then fall down. The stocks that HPHS has work very well to keep the horse contained and everyone is safer that way. Yes the head is heavy, I've been the one holding the head and tongue many a time in my younger and stronger days.
I am so in love ❤️ with Cleopatra! Hopefully she'll have a great recovery....thank you to all at horse plus for what you do! Maybe one day I can adopt one or more of these beautiful animals 😍
Great video! So much happening, lots of growth in the scope of HP efforts. The two vets are a great team, along with the support staff. You guys are the most IMPRESSIVE TEAM EVER! Blessings to all of you, and to all the donors who keep the ball rolling! ❤
RIP Bob Barker! What a legend. I'm in love with Cleopatra! I sure hope her leg gets better. Poor girl. I keep trying to find the video about the pink clippers, but I can't find it. I would love to know what brand they are.
Dr Ginas comment at the end "I cleand her tail" Made me feel soo hopefull. Both Dr Gina and Dr Lydia, do love all the animals they work whit.So calm whit those scared and painfull horses. Cant wait to see what will happen to the ridingarena and of course.. the climate controlled intakebarn.... Thats going to be amazing. Love you all at HPHS.
Love y'all and your mission! Have never missed an episode! And tell your media team they are doing an EXCELLENT job on content, vids TV and production...very professional!
I have seen the intake part of this in another post of yours. But not the rest of the post. Thanks for sharing and have a nice safe day. God bless you all for doing his work!!!
Bless the rescue who took mama and all those babies ! Great video, I saw the previous ones on the 38 but this was nice to see the finishing touches on those that needed additional review as we always wonder how it went. So many that look promising for new futures.
I remember that during the intake video, Dr Lydia mentioned that the black 3-year-old mare might be pregnant. Could you guys please give us an update on that, and let us know if she is.
Bob barker will be missed by everyone in this world because he had a very kind heart to the animals in this world that are in need of a helping hand when they are homeless and sick

Yes, he was a warrior for animals. I like that The Price Is Right still says “Spay and Neuter”
Don't go over the top. The vast majority of people in the world will have never heard of him. I only heard about him from this channel after he died. America is not the world.

Whether in quarantine or in the vet barn, the horses look so much more content than the trailer or auction. It's like they can instantly feel that they have their own space to be themselves. And the cookies don't hurt.

The bob barker donation is just so amazing… I bet you all were just shocked, it doesn’t get better than that 🐴
The new area should be called "The Bob Barker Spay & Neuter Clinic" in honor of Bob Barker.
Your farrier is terrific. If I ever win the Lotto, you'll be hearing from me. Such a worthy cause. So much more meaningful than "Free Spirit Equestrian".

In the design, i would also suggest adding solar power if possible. It will cost in the short term, but will be way way cheaper in the long term.

Just soo amazing the dedication and care. Thank you SO very much!!❤❤ Janice
I wish y'all had a wildlife rehabber and a wildlife center there @ horse +
Congratulations! I can’t think of a more worthy organization. I’m excited to see what impact this funding has on your community
Incredible just incredible
Great video! So much happening, lots of growth in the scope of HP efforts. The two vets are a great team, along with the support staff. You guys are the most IMPRESSIVE TEAM EVER! Blessings to all of you, and to all the donors who keep the ball rolling! ❤

RIP Bob Barker! What a legend. I'm in love with Cleopatra! I sure hope her leg gets better. Poor girl. I keep trying to find the video about the pink clippers, but I can't find it. I would love to know what brand they are.
Your equine surgical set up is impressive.

Your two vets are amazing and so likeable. What happened to Doc? He was so endearing.
So glad the preggers mama dog was surrendered to you. She will get special care now, and pups will have a chance to go to good homes.
Thank you for all your efforts to help horses and all the other animals! How do you find what is up for adoption?
They have a website, can't remember the name at the moment, but I'm sure you can google it and find it.
Love y'all and your mission! Have never missed an episode! And tell your media team they are doing an EXCELLENT job on content, vids TV and production...very professional!
What a great video once again y’all! ❤❤❤
thank you
Thank you Horse Plus for dedicating this to Bob Barker. I have tears thinking about the spay/neuter clinic in his name. THANK YOU.
❤❤❤
How did I not realize until this video how tall Dr. Lydia is! She’s incredible!
