Pauly is amazing.. He absolutely saved this horse. Even though she was 20 years old, you all took time and helped her out, giving her all the extra time she needed to heal from the abusive home she came from. I can definitely tell why she was part of an ongoing investigation. Who can let a horse get into such an appalling condition? As Pauly would say, "People suck.!"
Look how patient Nate is putting the paneling up and installing the door. He’s very quiet. He doesn’t get all pissy. He just figures it out and just a nice man. I think these two work really well together Cindy and Nate.
Paulie works miracles with horses’ feet. But without Pony Tales giving him all the time he needs to correct them, these horses wouldn’t be here. So thank you to everyone for helping & giving these horses a 2nd chance at a good life.
I am in TOTAL Shock at how anyone could let any animal get to this point!! Jail is to good for the person or people who done this. The people at this rescue Pony Tales are GOD SENT. TIREDLESS, WORK! You are all INCREDIBLE.
Halo was in such bad shape, those feet. So glad you were able to get her back to being much healthier and happy. Paulie and all the staff invested so much work and time to make her more comfortable and more sound. Thank you all so much, she looks fantastic compared to where she started.❤
So wonderful to see Halo's transition. Dr Jim is such a wonderful man! So sweet and kind and knowledgable. An absolute blessing. Paulie is phenomonal !!! He too is sweet, kind and knowledable. What amazing work he does to rerstore these horses. A God send too. 💞🙏

Your farrier holding that hoof that close to his boy berries while the horse is jumping around has my mad respect. The higher the horse jumped the higher up that hoof went up his legs. 🤣

So sad to see an animal treated in this way! You can see where she's layed down by the colors in her coat! Thanks for giving her a new chance on life. She's in great hands now!!❤❤❤
Nate is such a wonderful guy, and very handy. I adore the banter between Cindy and Nate, they make a great team. Thank you for documenting Halo’s story. Wonderful flashback to Dr Jim - I hope he is doing better. Your vets and farrier are so knowledgeable, their patients are in the best of hands. Keep up the good work Pony Tales, I’m so thankful for all the animals you are helping.
Again you guys are awesome. Hopefully with all the time and effort you guys put into this poor mare she’ll find the right forever home were she’ll have all the love and care that she deserves. Great job Pauly. Your hard work and care has really made a change for this mare.👍🐴♥️
I love it when Nate turns to you as you say “ we are going to g to do this and that.” He never says anything but I’ll bet he’s thinking “what’s this WE she keeps talking about?” 😀😀
Poor Paulie he certainly works his backside off! Any of Steve Young videos are awesome! Oh you don't want to stand still, no worries, we'll move you, with quality, until our idea becomes their idea. Lots of groundwork, leaving them on a positive note so they can think about it. We move their feet - it's all about the feet, right!?! No eyeballing them, no treat giving, no unrequested forward motion - my space is everything! Love the videos where he works with the horses right before the farrier comes so the farrier, usually his son-in-law, doesn't have any issues. Hope that helps.
You did a great job introducing Halo. I’m sure she is going to turn into a sweetheart with the proper care and nutrition. It’s so nice to see her fill out throughout the video.
Sorry for commenting so much but sweet Lord poor Halo smh. People really piss me off sometimes. At least theyre bringing the animals to yall instead of them going to auction!! Thank you ladies for working so hard to do the right thing y these animals! You got Halo in the nick of time with her feet thank God.
Poor Halo 😢. I wonder what she's been thru to make her so scared and worried about everything. Pauly is just absolutely amazing with the horses hooves. What a brilliant farrier! The world needs ALOT more kind patient and knowledgeable farriers like him. I'm sure that Halos feet will improve over time with his care. And hopefully she'll learn that these wonderful humans are kind and she can learn to finally trust ❤❤❤
I was thinking the walls don't have to be pretty to get the job done and them he slips that insulation board behind the support beams and woosh! A perfect fit!!!Impressive!!!

I remember seeing this but don't remember how Halo's story ended. Was she adopted once she got healthy? It's heartwarming to see how tirelessly the staff works together to help these horses. It really does take a village. What a difference you make in their lives! Bless you all.
@PonyTalesRefuge I'm new to your channel and have been going through the videos. You tried so hard to help Halo. What happened? Is there a video that tells the rest of her story?
Your Nate is the best. Is ther anything he cant do? And thank you for sharing the story of Halo. I hope it goes well for her. Pauly did a fantastic work on her feet. You are all the best. Love you all.
Glad you were able to release the footage with Halo, hopefully that means her past 'captor' was prosecuted and that was successful, but I do know how that often goes, and anyway it just never works out to make ppl suffer at the same level of suffering they caused. Have to mostly be happy that the horse is no longer in their care and hopefully someone is monitoring that they don't have any other animals. Hopefully that abcess finally blowing out along with repeated treatments and improved angles will also let her improve in behavior during farrier visits, who knows. Glad they have the stocks just in case, as we need Pauly to stay alive, his content is a treasure.
I always hope the ones who are bonded and together, get to stay together when they are adopted. I LOVE drafts and mules..treat a mule good. And kind, youve got an awesome ride. And buddy.. i rode m mule more than my horse, she was smoother. More sure footed, smarter in a stressful situation.and would go all day.
Dr Kristen and Pauly have the patience of saints!!! Not to mention your staff!! The audacity of some people to abuse and neglect a horse that badly deserves jail time!!!! Poor Halo to have lived in those conditions for that amount of time. I’d like to see that owner go without proper health/dental care and wear the wrong size shoes for years. Let’s see how they’d feel and act. Thank you Pony Tales for the love and support you’ve shown to Halo and all the other precious souls in your care. I’m sure it feels like a thankless job sometimes, but we do notice and APPRECIATE everything you do for these AMAZING creatures that God has entrusted to us. I only wish I had the finances to help you. I support you in my thoughts and prayers. 💛🧡 P.S. even though Halo doesn’t show it, I’m sure she truly appreciates everything you all are doing for her as well.
At the one-minute mark I could see that she was uncomfortable standing on her right front while you guys chatted. So sad to realize why. Hoping the best for her and for you all for the good work that you do. 💕
Good job Pauly with the corrective trimming & shoeing!! Halo almost looks to be a 3 - gaited horse, although I don't know how much her movement has to do with her hooves. Thank you PTR for what you are doing for the animals. ❤️ Jo in Michigan 🌊
Halo must have been so sore while having her feet trimmed which is why she didn't like the front left footbridge done. Poor girl, neglect is an awful thing.
Your farrier is very good. It is our responsibility to help the farrier by training the horses to stand for him. I understand the first time she was not good standing, but by the 3rd time there should have been training. Keep growing and learning. Best of luck.
God bless you all for taking care of these horses and helping them get a second chance at living, hopefully they all will go to loving homes where they will be wanted, loved and taken care of properly. An old saying I know of … no hoof no horse, and many times this is so. Thanks to your farrier, these horses have a better chance to be able to walk more normally. Miracles do happen, Halo is actually beautiful, she has progressed well from where she once was. Oh, just wanted to say, if people get the wrong type of farrier, they can actually harm more than help a horse with hoof problems. I remember hearing of one many years ago who did sloppy work on horses hooves, he was banned from doing any more of that type of work. 👍❤️🙏🏼
Hey guys Pauly did an awesome job on Halo feet. They are ten times better Pauly. And thank you for doing her feet too. You definitely are the best. And I am sure she feels much better too. No time at all she is going to look so beautiful ❤️🤗💖 again too. And no one will recognize her. Thank you guys. Especially Dr.Kristin. And Dr. Jim too. And it will take time with Happy too. She is a pretty girl too. Those prurrrone mares Are so beautiful too. Especially the white one. All my 💗💕🥰❤️🤗💖😘😍❤️🤗❤️💖 to all.
I think this was the best video you've ever put out! We were praying that you'd show Pauly and the vet working on Halo. Pauly is unbelievable! I know this isn't the cure-all for this mare's feet, and there may be more trouble around the corner, but maybe you can save her. I don't understand how people can take a horse and not even have a $40 trim done, never mind teeth and feed. I sure hope this person gets prosecuted. PLEASE continue to show updates on her!
Halo is a beautiful horse. God bless you all for helping these poor animals. You all have definitely earned your wings warms my heart to see the good progress that all of you are doing. God bless you all.
Oh, thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤for putting in that beautiful extra effort the way you do‼️ that blessed thin beauty has come so far along because of your grace and gentle hoof machinations. Bless your heart I can’t wait to see how well she’ll do as time passes. xoxo 😘
INCREDIBLE! What a story of Halo. Well done to you all and Paul doing his magic. What a transformation. Fabulous to witness. I hope they threw the book at the perpetrator(s). Thank you for sharing. YOU ALL ROCK! Hope Happy is happier and knows she can carry a rider x
I have to say I enjoyed the way we got to see the progress in detail of halo looking better and better every time! Thank you for doing this you all are amazing!😊🧡💜🧡
Good to see Dr. Jim. Nate is just a jack of all trades! He is unbelievable working alone trying to get the vet barn built. You all work so hard for the horses. Wow Halo is really in bad shape in just a year?
I was watching this episode the part where the girls were working on happy- might I suggest tieing 50 to 100 lbs sand bags to her saddle& leading her around saying walketc.until she has the concept of what you want her to do? That way your girls or anyone else doesn't get bucked etc and hurt.thats what my best friend & I did while training my appy filly& her filly yrs later.her filly was trained by 9mths
Pauly working on halo, amazing. Horses get the power in the back, I think I remember an Old Farrier as a kid coming to do the unmanageable horses and he would tie up 1 back leg while working on 1 front, takes away their ability to rear forward.. I just remember one horse he put it down on the ground several times with ease.. this guy was Iike 80 yrs Old and 180 pounds ..lol .. about the third time the horse stopped knowing they weren't getting anywhere with trying to jump. Old school
You guys are so awesome - poor Halo, she had it real bad. I love how concerned you all are, doing your utmost for her. Must have been painful as well. Will be interesting to see the change in her - so terribly thin, but also how she conducts herself in the future - a half year is a long time. I can imagine she will be a fine horse after that time. She has a bit of learning and socializing most probably - what a bad time she has been through. Are horses like dogs etc, in that they live in the now, or do they always remain perhaps a bit skittish, depending ofc what they have been through. I mean, dogs just want to be loved, no matter what they have endured, they still want/need it somehow, but as flight animals, how different are horses? I can imagine they accept fast the disabilities they have and best try to continue, but how is the emotional side of things - soppier it depends on the horse too, and the trainers ofc - you are all so fantastic with your animals - you are my favorite horse rescuers - just how you all are, how you do things, such fantastic teamwork. You have usually a lot of animals there, but no one, anyhow comes too short- so close knitted, you‘re just all fantastic! Love to watch you all. You sure have some funny obey Meckmack is a real character- Happy was hilarious not moving as you were astride of her, leaning from left to right, it was so funny. Loved Thelma‘s eyebrows, that looked so dam cute! Love watching Pauli, he has so much wisdom and is so good with the equines, an awesome farrier etc, as he knows and does an awful lot, more than just his average work, he incorporates all his knowledge, always in the horses interest. Love your Vets too, love how they talk and ask the horse if it’s ok to work on it, etc. The whole lot, just fits together so well, like an English watch lol. I‘m always showing my appreciation for your work with the equines, can’t help it, it has to be said each time - you‘re all just fantastic! Your hubby as well, Nate is great - quiet and so peaceful, always so calm and doing all he can to help. A great team! 🧚🏼♀️💕
Thanks for the update on Halo! What an impressive transformation. Pauly has mad farrier skills and the patience of Job. Another really great episode. 🐴

TIREDLESS, WORK!
You are all INCREDIBLE.
Do you offer to pay for expensive Farrier services, if horse owners can't afford it? Jail people for being poor?
It's still animal abuse.
That Ferrier is unbelievably talented
Halo was in such bad shape, those feet. So glad you were able to get her back to being much healthier and happy. Paulie and all the staff invested so much work and time to make her more comfortable and more sound. Thank you all so much, she looks fantastic compared to where she started.❤
Halo reminds me of a appendix quarter horse...thank God she's in much better hands...

I swear, Pauly has magic powers. You don't often see him just drop his jaw like he did on first seeing Halo. Wow, Pauly. Just, wow.

Halo is a beautiful horse. God bless you all for helping these poor animals. You all have definitely earned your wings warms my heart to see the good progress that all of you are doing. God bless you all.
You guys and girls have done a very good work with the barn and with the horses who needs a lot of care and love
Oh, thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤for putting in that beautiful extra effort the way you do‼️ that blessed thin beauty has come so far along because of your grace and gentle hoof machinations. Bless your heart I can’t wait to see how well she’ll do as time passes. xoxo 😘
Keep up the great work.
Terribly sad 😢to think of anyone hurting an animal!

Good to see Dr. Jim. Nate is just a jack of all trades! He is unbelievable working alone trying to get the vet barn built. You all work so hard for the horses. Wow Halo is really in bad shape in just a year?
She looks so much better. Great effort from entire team. Thank you for sharing.🐴
It's looking so good in the quarantine barn ❤ beautiful surrenders
I was watching this episode the part where the girls were working on happy- might I suggest tieing 50 to 100 lbs sand bags to her saddle& leading her around saying walketc.until she has the concept of what you want her to do? That way your girls or anyone else doesn't get bucked etc and hurt.thats what my best friend & I did while training my appy filly& her filly yrs later.her filly was trained by 9mths
I'd name that huge pair of black and white horses YIN and YANG. Who are a pair of course. Cannot wait to get introduced to them.
Old school
Really missed your videos so great to see this latest episode.
