the way you use the flat brushes makes me think you'd be amazing at calligraphy! it amazes me even more because i always use round/pointed brushes when i paint ahah i used to always wonder what people did with the flat brushes
Ooohhh, now this is inspiring! I've got a couple of pages in my sketchbook that I can't use because of alcohol marker bleed-through. BUT, if I paint them black they would be perfect for pumpkins or spiders...🕸️🕷️
So cute ,absolutely gorgeous i especially love all the subtle variations of colour within the white pumpkin. The green bubbly one looks great to ,wonderful overall,and the black paper really makes stand out beautifully, loving it 😍 ❤
Great stuff as always :) outta curiosity, is there anything special you do with the Sta-Wet palette to keep your paints wet? I’ve used mine a couple times and despite following the directions for wetting the sponge/paper to a T, my paints constantly dry out super fast any time i use the palette. (It could very well be an issue of environment, Phoenix is awfully dry especially at this time of the year lol)
Thanks! Ah yes it might be that the air is very dry where you are. I make the sponge quite wet (more than the instructions suggest) and let the paper be a bit damp to touch. Just careful it's not too wet cus the paints could slip into each other. You could keep a little spray bottle of water and give them a spray every once in a while. I think just because your environment is dry you might need to adjust the wetness to your preference through a bit of trial and error

oh yes do pen and ink really interesting seeing how you approach different mediums..this is so effective ,it almost gives the effect of classical stilllife painting like oil painting on a canvas , jumps off the page.
Oh, fun. I have a cheap black-paper sketchbook that I use with colored pencil only. (Colored pencil on black paper is crazy hard, but in the best way.) Maybe a spooky jack-o-lantern should be next.
