I completely relate to Gigi’s story. I too had a rough time going throughout my twenties when nothing was working out for me. Then at 30 a family friend rang and said there was a position for me at the company he worked for that required my talent. And that’s when I really started to make a success of my life!
key to being a manager is to have the humility to accept your way may not be the best way. Just because someone tweaks it then ask yourself, what do they know that I don't. The danger of being self made owner is you lose your impartiality, if that happens then yes, you have failed at being CEO as you have instead become a dictator.
