    Dude, thanks so much for the tips! Your video is one of very few that will give you temps and timing - truly helpful!! As a comment, it'd be nice if you can make a series of "basic" videos in which you explain grilling with different types of meats with basic recepies and ingredients/utensils everyone has at home ( just like this one!!). Just a suggestion. Congrats on the vid, and thanks for taking the time to put it together for us, the beginners.

      You’re welcome! I hope it helps. I do want to do a “basics” series at some point so stay tuned.

    Great looking ribs! Never thought about doing ribs on the Jumbo Joe! I am not a sauce guy, just like to let the rub come through! Cheers Jabin!

    Thanks Jabin. I also love my Jumbo Joe. I’ll give this recipe a try come next BBQ season. I might need to use a milder hot sauce that what’s in my cupboard though. Ghost Pepper sauce might be a bit much.🔥🔥🔥🔥😮

    Question - did you have to keep adding more charcoal as you went?

    • @PostalBarbecue
      @PostalBarbecue  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No the jumbo joe is pretty efficient with coal consumption especially with the slow n sear insert in it. If the insert wasn’t in there then I likely would have had to add a few extra.

    Another great video. I just started using my sns basket on the jumbo joe. I'm loving it so far. How is that sns mini drip pan for the jumbo joe? I hope you bring out more jumbo joe videos. Thanks

  • @GenXisT
    @GenXisT 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Bro, that membrane technique was ACE! I'm definitely going to start doing it that way. It was so much easier!
    Why wouldn't you spritz it with apple juice? Same results as water but added delicious flavor. No foil wrap cooking for an hour either?
    Also, "St. Louie" was pretty funny pronunciation.

    • @PostalBarbecue
      @PostalBarbecue  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha. My canadian accent at it again 🤦‍♂️- apple juice is good but I rarely have it in the house. If anything I would mix water and whiskey together. Mmm.

    I hope he saved some of that Bourbon Honey Glaze BQ sauce to put on the Ribs..... Just something to consider...... Or better yet make a mess of Wings to munch on with a beer while the Ribs are cooking. Wings for lunch and Ribs for dinner..... BQue is always good.

    Nice ribs Jabin ! Been a while since i have seen you use JJ.In the Mid West we typically sauce our ribs but i won't turn down a good Memphis style dry rib either !!! Great video !

      Yeah it was a mess from summer. So I had to get it clean up from the beach, lakes, oceans, and even using it as fire ring during “no fire season” (cause it’s technically a grill 😉) Love my Jumbo Joe.

    Four and a half hours seems like a lot. Like too much effort for a rack of ribs. And to be honest I don’t get why it needs to be that long. I made a pretty good tack of ribs on my Weber kettle in two hours. Once you get the temp to 200 degrees its good to go.
