haha. I love your stuff...especially when I'm in them. Thanks for the invite. It's funny I literally put up the most serious and unfunny video I've ever done and you're all talking about how funny I am. People are going to question you... I mean, more than usual. lol
Wonderful to have you on, Justin! I wouldn't worry about it... that Smokefire series was the highlight of my week! Not sure what that says about me, but I've never worried about that before.
Class act Justin. I've been following both your accounts for a long time and never undetstood why the differance in views. Hopes this gets you both further.
If you have the weber baskets just use 1 turn it backwards and put the flat side holding the charcoal back, same thing as the slow and sear so don't waste your money and go out and replace the weber ones.
I love how you only lit about 12 coals. People don't get it that if your grill is running hot, it's because you lit too much fuel in the beginning. Nice video and great channel.
Here’s the deal, EJ. You make a video and I will DEFINITELY watch. Your videos are incredibly unique, informative and entertaining. So freaking funny! Thank you! 😂
I think the Weber basket size is more adequate for the Jumbo Joe since you get more cooking real estate. I would also replace the cooking grate with the 18" hinge one.
I bought a Vortex (Small) and placed it on a Smokey Joe charcoal grate. Works killer for wings, the Vortex covers the vent so all air comes through the coals.
I have a slow and sear on my 21” kettle that has a built in water pan. It’s great for those small cooks where I don’t need to use the space of the Smokey mountain. I never take it out of the grill.
Your table seems wobbly. Here's an idea I saw (and used) on Reddit: A friend recently gave me his cheap ass 17.5" Expert Grill from Wal Mart (it's like 20 bucks, he used it for a summer, bought a Weber Master Touch and gave me the the cheap one). I use it set my Smokey Joe on (the 14" version). sounds strange, but it's just about the perfect height for me. Kind of looks like when I was kid back in the seventies and I'd be at someone's house whose big floor tv took a dump and they'd have a smaller tv sitting on top of it.
Where do you people live that find these marked down prices for Weber grills? In Michigan, either the store don't have them and if they do, they're never marked down.
Great vid, thank you. Watched a few on Jumbo Joe thinking about getting it as my first charcoal grill and watching this was time well spent, unlike all the boring vids on it out there. Question, could this serve as a tiny firepit if one does not overload it? It's 18", regular firewood is cut to 16", would think you can get away with that... Just a crazy idea. Was gonna mod 22" Weber kettle, but this is already low to the ground.
Just discovered this video because I am considering getting a Jumbo Joe. Great partnership with Justin! Love you sense of humor and production. Great fun video!
Newbie to smoking here. Should I ignite all charcoal in the fire starter and add in the grill or should I just light up 50% and add the other 50 unlit next to it? Does it make a difference? Cooking whole chicken. Thanks.
Michael Ozuna it was a crate and barrel bistro set I got 10 years ago. This is the table from that. I just checked and it doesn’t seem like anything equivalent exists right now. But I’m sure any metal table would be good! Yeah it’s a great setup because the table folds and can be stored. It’s a great height for the grill too!
yeah i never bothered seasoning with oil. with all my weber's its never been a problem. You should do an initial burn in just to get rid of manufacturing oil, but they don't really require "seasoning"
Bro, you got skills. Nailed those ribs. Saw ur vid cuz I’m selling my performer and downsizing to the joe n sear and the portable table. Empty nester syndrome.
I have heard of the vortex! I have never tried it! My slow 'n sear gets great results with chicken, and i think I've met my quota of chunks of stainless steel that I stick in my grill. or at least my wife thinks so.

Haha loved the cameo
BBM, that was awesome. I follow Red Cow exclusively for EJ, and I love that you “get” him and this bit confirms that you’re an incredibly nice guy.
The cameo was DA BOMB. You guys are awesome! Maniacalleelee so!

Always love EJ cooking videos. I’d watch him make cereal. Now let’s see EJ make a grilled cheese with one of his grills.
Best grilling vid I’ve seen this year. Adding Justin was epic and kudos to you both!
Really? Its the worst Ive seen.
I love when you guys interact with other YT'ers!
YEEEESSSS!!!!! The “banana for scale” method lives on! Great video! I am thinking about getting the SNS charcoal basket for my Kamado Joe.
Love the dry humor 😂

Sorry, the clay golem is mine now. Your deadpan humor is everything.

I live in Massachusetts. I got extremely lucky as target around here gets rid of all their grilling stuff seasonally.

Nice....yeah man, I guess up North we're not considered as much as Southern states. Its hard to find the gourmet accessories.
I love it 😆 And I love Sweet Baby Ray’s too!
Hey bro what size basket slow n sear 18” 22” ???
What’s the temp gauge you using?

the crossover we didnt know we needed :D freakin awesome video. gonna grill now
I use this same setup. Funny, I have a ton of other grills/smokers but I end up using this setup the most lol.
uses not much charcoal and gets the job done! I'll be using it for a ton of simple cooks for sure
@@RedCowEntertainment Good point about the charcoal. I shall consume a bottle of whisky now.
Great video! Good work.
Great video guy, my kinda humor! 😄

Have you ever used the Weber basket on the Smokey Joe Jumbo? I would love to see how they work....
My 2 favorite bbq guys!!!
Brilliant video as always. Such a coincidence, before I saw your video, I just used the same setup to make dinner.
this is so great! Well done!
funny guy! I want this grill! subbed
Great video. I love the Jumbo Joe. It's a great grill.
I wasn't ready for this cross-over. But really hope you get EJ some more views.
Hey EJ. What kind of table you using under that Weber? I think I like that setup!

Crazy question.. do they come seasoned? Curious why the initial test run didn't include seasoning with a coat of oil
yeah i never bothered seasoning with oil. with all my weber's its never been a problem. You should do an initial burn in just to get rid of manufacturing oil, but they don't really require "seasoning"
Bravo EJ and Justin!!! I see a rib throw down happening....or at least last man standing shots.
Hahaha this is absolute gold!! The scaling method is on point! Well played my man.
Nice vid man.
Cool video, Justin was funny....good looking ribs
Bro, you got skills. Nailed those ribs. Saw ur vid cuz I’m selling my performer and downsizing to the joe n sear and the portable table. Empty nester syndrome.
james rudman you’ll love it! Thanks for watching!
EJ have you ever heard of/tried the Vortex? I've never had more delicious wings than ones cooked on a Weber over royal lump with a vortex.
I have heard of the vortex! I have never tried it! My slow 'n sear gets great results with chicken, and i think I've met my quota of chunks of stainless steel that I stick in my grill. or at least my wife thinks so.
@@RedCowEntertainment no you have not! Please review.
@@RedCowEntertainment She'd be wrong, of course....carry on

Love my jumbo joe. Can't believe what a great deal you got on yours! Thanks for the great video
Also, great vid👍
Very funny😄 your new subscriber here
Wow Dr. Baby Back Enthusiast To The Point of Insanity, you’ve done it again!!! Hey Justin 👋.
I'm going to jumbo joe that like button
If I smoke on my grill, will I taste smoke when I cook on the grill the next time and don't smoke?
Good choice! But then, almost anything would be a better choice than that Pit Barrel thingy...
Try the Sweet Baby Ray's sweet & spicy sauce. it's really good. Better than the original IMO. Great job EJ.
Burning recently purchased clothes just to fit a grill??? I like the way you think! Buy local, burn local. I believe this is how local economies work.
Pretty darn funny
dont know what kind of case justin will have against you after he stole a line from dwight from the office lol. but great video you two!
sjeditor was wondering if someone would catch the reference! 🤣
Boom? More like #ribsgoesthedynamite!!!

This shows more of the reviewer than the product LOL.
Slow n sear is a total rip off as well.... so many options other than..
I have been grilling food for over 30 years. All WEBER grills are poorly designed...............
Must be why they're the most hated and worst selling grills of all time........oh wait..
