    INGREDIENTS THAT YOU WILL NEED FOR THIS COOK:
    2 racks of back ribs
    Cooking Oil
    BBQ Rub - amzn.to/2z67pTV
    **HOW TO SMOKE RIBS ON THE GRILL**
    Step #1
    First you will need to prepare your Loin Back Ribs beginning by removing the membrane on the back of the ribs.. Once that's done you will then apply some oil to act as a binder. Once the oil is on liberally coat your ribs with your favourite BBQ Rub and then let it rest int he fridge for about 2-4 hours while you set up your Slow N Sear for cooking between 225-250 degrees.
    Step #2
    Once your grill is between 225-250 degrees you will place your ribs onto the cool side of the grill. Add your favourite hardwood to the Slow N Sear for some added smoke flavour and begin cooking for 2 hours (total time should be around 4.5 - 5 hours)
    Step #3
    After 2 hours of cooking, you are going to open the grill and apply a mop or spritz of 2 parts apple juice and 1 part apple cider vinegar. You will repeat this again at hour 3.
    Step #4
    After about 4 hours your ribs are going to be getting close so you will want to check them by doing the bend test or pulling the bones to see how much movement there is. For ours at 4 hours these ribs were almost done. At this point (or 30 minutes out) apply your Sauce and let cook for the final 30 minutes. This will allow the sauce to set and give a real nice flavour. After all this is done your ribs should be done and ready to sliced, feast and enjoy!
    That's it, Enjoy.

    Why do you spritz if you have a slow and sear doesn’t the water pan do that?

    Jabin, any tenderness issues not wrapping the ribs?

    • @PostalBarbecue
      @PostalBarbecue  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +solman93 none at all. You just need to make sure they pass the bend test. Texture is slightly different than wrapped but the flavour is spot on. Give it a try on your next rib run.

    Is it necessary to wrap the ribs in tin foil?

    • @oro5z
      @oro5z 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Wrapping really tenderizes them. While not 100% necessary, I always do.

  • @N1mro8
    @N1mro8 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I see a lot of people, with the slow'n sear, NOT using the 3-2-1 method. Is there a real difference in flavor (did not tried it, need to test it out #science) :)?

    • @PostalBarbecue
      @PostalBarbecue  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That would be a good comparison. basically you are comparing wrapped vs unwrapped. I give you license to try both ways our and see what YOU prefer. End of the day you cook to your taste. I like both ways. Wrapped is often a bit faster of a cook but you will notice that there is a slightly different texture between the two.
