    I have several artisan minis In my fleet And they are awesome little machines. It should be pointed out that they share the same 250 W motor that's in the kitchenaid Classic Tilt head. If you choose to buy a minit's a Mini I recommend that you opt you opt for the optional "bull scrape"" attachment attachment and avoid the pouring shield shield because itas it tends to get in the way more than it helps.

    Nice work guys. Good amount of info and not too much fluff. Just bought a Professional 500 series on sale for $199. Post-researching to decide if I made a poor choice and should have gone with the Artisan.

    • @EverythingKitchens
      @EverythingKitchens  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The Pro 500 is a great mixer, good power with the bowl-lift design - the bowl lift is going to help with bigger batches and bread dough for sure! Let us know if you have any questions. Happy mixing!

      Why do you say you made a bad choice? I need to get one for my wife and want something decent. She never really makes bread its mostly just cakes and cookies for birthday and holiday. What's main differences in 5 and 6 pro series

    • @aaronstestlab
      @aaronstestlab 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't think I made a bad choice. But I bought the Pro 5 because it was on-sale for less than the Artisan. Kinda of a spur of the moment thing. Only downside is that replacement bowls are more expensive and it takes up more space.

    • @EverythingKitchens
      @EverythingKitchens  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The biggest difference between the pro 500 and 600 is the wattage of the motor. The pro600 series has a 575W motor

      @@aaronstestlab .sorry I read your post wrong. So over all are you happy? There on sale for 199.00 still. I think I'm going to get one for wife. She has been wanting one. I'm not crazy about the tilt head units, I'm afraid they might loosen up after a bit.

    I just bought 2 pro 600 models from everything kitchen. I did some research and couldn’t beet their prices. I bought one for my daughter and one for myself. I from old school Italian making everything for a lot of people. My mother in law had one in the 1960’s and ground her own meat with it!
    I compared prices on the attachments and can’t beat prices on everything kitchens prices, including sales.
    My suggestion are, follow the direction on speeds and you won’t be disappointed! Watch as many TH-cam videos on the mixers.
    Follow some of the tips, they are very helpful. Good luck!🥰

    I bought Pro-500 factory reconditioned lift-bowl model for $199 about 5 years ago and have used it regularly. Out of the box it looked and performed like new and still does. I use it most often with the dough hook for bread and it handles 2 and 4 loaf batches without complaint, although the motor housing is a bit warm after kneading 4 loaves worth of dough. I agree that it does not perform well with very small batches such as 1 or 2 egg whites, but I still have my mom's KA hand mixer--at least 30 years old and with frequent use, also looks and works like new.
    As a bonus, the stand mixers can be reparied by the factory or, if you are a bit brave about mechanicals, by the owner.
    Excellent products, save a line in your will to pass them to the next generation!

    Attachments can be a good thing but one thing to keep in mind is that if they are overloaded they can break two gears in the mixers so just be careful not to over-work/over-load the attachments and it will be ok. we have some videos about mixers that have had this problem, it all depends on the style some of them are more stronger than others like the 7Q it's all together different inside.

    3:29 That’s a great point that I don’t think manufacturer’s ever address. But easily fixable, I think, by simply divulging whether they lit the product with soft, daylight, or cool white bulbs. Because it does affect the tone of the color. In a perfect world they would show the same item under the three different lights as today’s consumer tends to be more aware of lumens and color temperature when lighting their kitchens. It’d make for a more confident, informed choice.

    Good review for chef. Many home users will be more interested in how many cakes the mixer will mix at a time, not cookies and bread loaves. All three of these mixers will mix comfortably only one cake batch. The two larger ones will mix two cakes if done carefully because bowl will be almost run over. I own both of larger ones, not the mini. For those who want to mix multiple, larger cakes, you will need to choose a commercial 10 qt mixer, which will mix up to 3 cake batches at a time. A 20 qt will mix up to 6 cake batches at a time. Liquids will need to be adjusted/scaled based on recipe; can't just multiply them up. Anything larger than 20qt is not tabletop, but floor-standing commercial mixer.

    Well Chef i feel really bad i purchased a new Kitchen Aid Artisan regular because of the color its the light green i have 2 red kitchenaid mixers and 1 white 1 black. but on the good side doing the holidays i could mix alot of pastries and cookies and pies and not have to wait to use just 1 when i could use 2 or 3 at a time . but i do love my Kitchenaid they are kitchen icons.
    and i learned to make many things .

      @EverythingKitchens  ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow, so many mixers! I hope you like your light green color - The Artisan mixer does have the most color options to choose from for sure. And using many mixers at the same time can for sure be an advantage when making lots of baked goods at one time. Let me know if you ever have any questions, we'd love to help! I have the 600 series kitchenaid. I have had the mixer for 13 years and have never been happy with how it mixes. When making large or small batches, it never mixes well there are always unmixed ingredients left at the bottom of the bowl. I also notice that it use to leaks grease when mixing. Is this common? Does this mean that I have to add grease to the machine and if so, how do I do this? I am concerned that the gears will dry out. I look forward to hearing back. Thank you

    • @EverythingKitchens
      @EverythingKitchens  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Debbie Gambacort. To answer your question about the unmixed ingredients - you may need to do a beater-to-bowl clearance adjustment. You can check out our video here of how to test that: th-cam.com/video/fpPvW7qGyvk/w-d-xo.html - the video shows the artisan mixer, but the same process is done on the 600 (the adjustment screw is just on the neck of the mixer). If your adjustment is okay, then consider getting a flex-edge beater: evkitch.com/FlexEdge - this beater blade has silicone edges that scrape the sides of the bowl while it mixes and this may help you out.
      As far as the grease goes, this is not uncommon - I contacted KitchenAid and they said there is a very large amount of food-safe grease in KitchenAid mixers to last a lifetime. They said if a teaspoon or so is leaking out, that is okay and you shouldn't have to worry about it, but it is a larger amount around a quarter cup, then you should have it serviced. If this is the case, they recommended sending it to their service center in Greenville, Ohio (800-961-0959, ext 2865) , they'll send you a box to ship the mixer to them. KitchenAid also recommended running the mixer once every 3 weeks for a few minutes to help prevent that issue. We hope this helps! -Chef Austin everythingkitchens.com

    I noticed the. Commercial Stand Mixer did not have the spring on the shaft for attachments. I've heard it causes more noise than the ones that do & doesn't run as smooth. Why has KitchenAid change that design?
    All the reviews on all KitchenAid Mixers in the past 2 years are terrible. It's always been such a great product & lasted over decades. I've also learned they are NOT made. In the same factory & some are from overseas!
    WHY! When you spend up to $ 500.00. On just the Artisan Mixer tilt head, I'm expecting the same Quality Mixer my Mom used just 10 years ago! WHAT IS THE DEAL KITCHENAID CORPORATE? You are loosing customers.
    Help us understand the terrible changes! We want the KitchenAid our Parents owned. The motors made of metal & all the things that made it run smooth & quite. Attachments of stainless still & are coated.

      Why did they change the design?
      Because they could, and because it saves them roughly $1.25 in hardware costs ($2 if I'm generous) and 2 minutes on the assembly line.
      Welcome to the new norm: corporations eschewing logic and quality in favor of maximizing profit margins, even at the detriment of their end product and brand reputation.
