It’s so interesting bc they almost step Over each others comments bc they are so close and have such similar experiences. This is everything I love about getting true comedy insight.
Love that Seth writes down the funny things his kids say and presents them as a gift for his wife on mother's day. I worked at a daycare center and preschool in the 90's and still have scraps of paper with funny things kids said.
I could listen to Seth for hours. As a host or as the person being interviewed, he is a great listener and conversationalist. He engages with the person he's with in an authentic way but doesn't need to make himself the center of every story. He always expresses an awareness of the many blessings he has and appreciation for the people who have helped him reach where he is. I'm genuinely happy to see him succeed and wish him nothing but the best. I could be mistaken, but I feel he's the type of person who would be just as nice speaking with a "regular" person as he is when speaking on camera with celebrities.
Based upon the degree of restraint I had to exert to avoid inventing some flimsy premise to correct you on, I think there needs to be a direction for jackals to begin correcting pre-corrections content as some kind of corrections-methadone
I thought this episode and the last one sucked. Neal seems to have forgotten the premise of the podcast and just basically and boringly interviews SNL people. I never liked SNL and could care less about hearing two episodes dedicated to fawning over it.
Thanks for doing these. They're especially needed with talk shows off the air. You're nailing the balance of open hearted and funny. It's really helpful on a lot of levels.
The way I clicked on this video instantaneously. Never knew I could have withdrawals from a talk show! I really REALLY miss Late Night with Seth Meyers! I adore this dude & his comedy! ❤M
I like Seth a lot. He was a favorite on SNL and I've watched his show forever! Hos writers Jenny and Amber Ruffin's segment "Joke's Seth CAN'T tell" is just genius!😂😂😂 "Amber say's WHAT?" is my all time absolute favorite! Ya burnt is right after that!😂
I expected to hear cute stories and giggle a little but I didn’t expect to be legit INSPIRED by this interview, but here we are! Thank you for a great conversation 🙏
Neal, your conversations with your friends are both so honest AND funny at the same time. This has quickly become one of my favorite podcasts. I hope you know we're cherishing this as a new TALENT of yours :)
1:19:45 Recognize Neal's question? From being subscribed, watching his episode clips? "Did you like THAT? Did you LIKE that? But DID you like it though?"
Clips are great because Neal covers so much ground, I rarely remember them even though Ive seen the whole episodes Yah, Neal, loved the clip and of course I'm subscribed 💙
Seth is my hands down favorite of the current late night talk show crowd. He’s innovating in the medium in the tradition of Letterman and Conan, but in his unique way (obviously). Corrections is pure genius, btw
Getting my fix of Seth Meyers (jackals represent !) during the writers strike brought me here, stayed for the Neil Brennan :) bc I've enjoyed him a bunch in other media and I feel like this format suits him well. I'll be checking out the other eps. of the pod ASAP
1:26:44 Another reason to love Seth! I lived in Brugge from 2002-2003. We were back in the U.S. when In Bruges came out. We probably annoyed the other people in the theater. When the actors are walking around the park talking about "nooks and crannies," they walk by a playground. Spouse and I said at the same time, "They got a new playground!" We went there every day with our toddler because we were about a block away. The previous playground was wood and caused slivers. It had a super tall slide. When you climbed to the top to go on the slide, there was a toddler-sized gap between the ladder and the platform. We love In Bruges, not only for the script and acting, but for the nostalgia.
Had no idea the level of friendship you two have - now going to go back and rewatch the interviews. Also - we miss Seth terribly. What Covid couldn’t take from us, the stupid (insert whomever the WGA is striking against?) did. Solidarity with the writers but damn, we miss you Seth.
I love just watching Neal talk to his friends and express love and gratitude for each other. It feels like we get a little window into the in-joke that are cornerstone of most friendships, that shit more intimate that watching people fuck.
Thank you for this lovely conversation. it really helped calm my parrot down when he was having a loud moment. he was mesmerized. I not letting him watch In Bruges though.
Although it is about directing, Neal's comment about talking charades is the most apt description of teaching that I have ever heard. In 40 years in the classroom, I was guilty as charged more times than I want to admit.
yessss! I just watched this (late to the game, i know) but i definitely wrote that down in whatever random notepad i had nearby, adding to my collection of sad-teacher-aphorisms
I want to see a comedy show from Seth Myers on parenting. When he talked about "using this calm ineffective voice and yelling at your kids in public places," that's relatable and funny. Another normal comic. Thank you. And Seth Myers' inability to dance is a block! Does he have teenagers yet, because the way he talks about his kids, doesn't sound like they've hit puberty yet. I want to hear when his kids become adolescents, a true test of the signature Seth Myers niceness.
Studio 60 never got a fair shake. Those of us who were fans tend to think that it didn't really lose out to 30 Rock ... it more lost out to Friday Night Lights. (Though fair to say, if 30 rock hands existed it might have gotten a 2nd season at a different time). 30 rock and Studio 60 were not the same show. Same setting, VERY different shows. Nice to see Seth in the downtime here. Great episode!!
It definitely deserved another season. It's funny that networks don't mind having multiple medical or cop shows, but can't have two shows about a late night show on at the same time
Does Seth like In Bruges? I hadn't noticed. I would love to be at a Meyers family summer outing. I miss his show immensely. . I really like Seth and his excellent team of writers (THAT SHOULD BE PAID, but I digress)
Enjoyed the show, not to many “blocks” but makes sense. If you are a really good friends, there’s really not a need to ask questions that you already know the answer to..
37:43 This just sound like actors Vs writers just a bit. It just sounds like they’ve worked their muscles in certain areas a bit more. Of course some folks are naturally gifted but some folks can’t call the plays/allocate the talent as good.
I love the Blocks podcast... feel like they scrambled a bit at the end to actually get any blocks. But I enjoyed two good friends sitting around shooting the shit about the past
I listen to a lot of political podcasts and this was a wonderful break 😂 Hope the strike is successful for the writers and actors 😁 we sure miss the laughs 😂😂👍
One of the only chances to see seth. Now live. I wont be able to go to it here n vegas, but cool they're doing a 3rd strike show. Tickets go on sale tomorrow friday. Show is sep 23, 2023 las vegas
As much as I like the practicality of knowing beforehand what the Blocks will be in the demarcation of the video, it is way better to actually watch without knowing it.
never seen two guys blend in with the respective backgrounds as subtlety and convincing as these two
THEY DO !!😳
What a beautiful comment. Thanks!
saw this comment halfway thru and now I can’t unsee it.
😂
It’s so interesting bc they almost step
Over each others comments bc they are so close and have such similar experiences. This is everything I love about getting true comedy insight.

If it isn’t obvious by all the comments we miss Seth so much. Without Corrections the jackals have nothing to do.
Based upon the degree of restraint I had to exert to avoid inventing some flimsy premise to correct you on, I think there needs to be a direction for jackals to begin correcting pre-corrections content as some kind of corrections-methadone
Hello fellow jackal! I miss Corrections soooo much.
Jackals unite!
They made a playlist of corrections, I think we should go back and start correcting previous corrections.
Yes, and we didn't get an Emmy nom for Corrections, so I'm extra sad today
Probably my favorite episode thus far. The friendship between the two is admirable.
sure, except that it was filled with a lot of "atcchhooobulshit" moments...
I thought this episode and the last one sucked. Neal seems to have forgotten the premise of the podcast and just basically and boringly interviews SNL people. I never liked SNL and could care less about hearing two episodes dedicated to fawning over it.
It’s nice to hear Seth’s voice coming from my internet tubes again. I’ve resorted to jackal-ing my local news TH-cam clips. Things. Are. Dire.
Agh dude, you gotta rewatch old Closer Looks, especially the lockdown attic and captain's quarters shows. Which planted the seeds for Corrections.
@@gratefuljackal8183 STRIKE FORCE FIVE!
17:10 The fact that Seth cares for his parents so much just makes me smile
Thanks for doing these. They're especially needed with talk shows off the air. You're nailing the balance of open hearted and funny. It's really helpful on a lot of levels.
Opened app, audibly gasped, and clicked faster than I have ever clicked before. Been missing Seth so much!
Same!
Are Seth and Neal really best buds?
I’m so happy that these obscure skits Seth is bringing up are a part of the weekly ticker of SNL references in my brain
The way I clicked on this video instantaneously. Never knew I could have withdrawals from a talk show! I really REALLY miss Late Night with Seth Meyers! I adore this dude & his comedy! ❤M
My exact same thought
Same!!
I also thought that these 2 guys were going to have the type of conversation I couldn't afford to miss out on.
Same! I'd never been a big fan of anything before, but man I miss Seth 🐾🐾
The friendship level here is breaking the charts. What a comfortable, heartwarming, & fun conversation... If low on Blocks.
I love Seth. This is the one i have being wainting for. Need to watch it at the perfect time. I don't even make comments.
I like Seth a lot.
He was a favorite on SNL and I've watched his show forever!
Hos writers Jenny and Amber Ruffin's segment "Joke's Seth CAN'T tell" is just genius!😂😂😂
"Amber say's WHAT?" is my all time absolute favorite!

I expected to hear cute stories and giggle a little but I didn’t expect to be legit INSPIRED by this interview, but here we are! Thank you for a great conversation 🙏
the look on Neal's face opening his very carbonated beverage. lol
This was one of the best so far. ❤ We could all use a friendship like this one in our life.
Neal, your conversations with your friends are both so honest AND funny at the same time. This has quickly become one of my favorite podcasts. I hope you know we're cherishing this as a new TALENT of yours :)
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Omg. I’m so glad I have notifications on. This is a top top TOP priority after my shift
Brennan: Jason Sudeikiss' charisma is out the ying yang.
*Phenomenal description.
So great to see Seth again! You two have a beautiful friendship. The laughter and joy is genuine; the real makes y’all so relatable.💖
I really just needed to hear Seth’s voice. The strike is forcing me to talk to loved ones more.
That sounds horrible thoughts and prayers :)
so well said, love it
1:19:45 Recognize Neal's question? From being subscribed, watching his episode clips?
"Did you like THAT? Did you LIKE that?
But DID you like it though?"
Clips are great because Neal covers so much ground, I rarely remember them even though Ive seen the whole episodes
Yah, Neal, loved the clip and of course I'm subscribed 💙
First time I saw Seth was in a film called "See This Movie." Then SNL and now Late Night. Feel like I've grown up on his comedy. Great interview!
Seth is my hands down favorite of the current late night talk show crowd. He’s innovating in the medium in the tradition of Letterman and Conan, but in his unique way (obviously). Corrections is pure genius, btw
Love Seth’s interview style on Late Night. So smart.
Just shows no matter the industry you will have to overcome other people's expectations and will face many challenges, inspiring!
Wow Seth can literally talk to anyone and make them sound better. What a good friend
Incredible compliments to Fred and Will!
I love watching you two together!! Watching 2 of some of my favorite people 😊🤸🏻♂️
I am seeing a lot more interviews in which people are their natural selves without feeling like they need to be in character. It's refreshing.
Somebody on Neal's staff really puts in the hours on the graphics and editing. A top-quality podcast product. Sustainable? We'll see.
Getting my fix of Seth Meyers (jackals represent !) during the writers strike brought me here, stayed for the Neil Brennan :) bc I've enjoyed him a bunch in other media and I feel like this format suits him well.
I'll be checking out the other eps. of the pod ASAP
I'm rewatching the attic and captain's quarters shows to get by 🐾🐾

Love Neal Brennan. Love Seth. This was the first episode of this pod that I listened to in its entirety. Love listening to funny friends❤
In that old picture of them together, Seth was standing next to the bong but Neal looks like he already had more than a few rips.
This podcast idea has the most longevity.
For the alg. Neal describing the pod at the start is becoming my favorite part.
He can’t stop 😂
Had no idea the level of friendship you two have - now going to go back and rewatch the interviews.
Also - we miss Seth terribly. What Covid couldn’t take from us, the stupid (insert whomever the WGA is striking against?) did. Solidarity with the writers but damn, we miss you Seth.
This was amazing! Thank you both.
I love just watching Neal talk to his friends and express love and gratitude for each other. It feels like we get a little window into the in-joke that are cornerstone of most friendships, that shit more intimate that watching people fuck.
Nice! Seth & Neal! Neal & Seth! I was waiting for this drop.
That was so incredibly fun to watch. 2 legends and genuinely good friends have an amazing conversation
Love you both... Missing You and Your Crew, Seth... xo One of Your Jackals
To designate a good friend as my pallbearer is hysterical.
The blocks stand up was epic n touching
Loved loved loved this episode.
Neil’s interviewing style is very relaxed and relaxing lol
Brilliant episode! Love the fact that they're friends.
Neal is just awesome. Great episode.
Thank you for this lovely conversation. it really helped calm my parrot down when he was having a loud moment. he was mesmerized. I not letting him watch In Bruges though.
Great episode and if you don't have tickets to see brand new Neal, get some! Such a great, hilarious show
That was excellent. Really good episode.
Oh thank Zeus! Some Seth content! Major withdrawal symptoms!
Agreed. In case you didn't know, Seth was on the WTF podcast in June. If you haven't heard it, go search it out.
Dude, my favorite part of SNL was weekend update. Especially with Norm. But you were great as well.
Ok, to hot in the hot tub was special
What a fascinating, easy conversation by two very funny, smart people. A top episode!
This is so good! Subbed
Benevolent HotDogger! 😂😂 23:13
I love how Neal is a Radiohead fan of my caliber.
Loved this episode, good to hear from Seth.
I thought I couldn’t love Seth more, then he mentioned “In Bruges”. *platonic swooooon*
I cant believe how close the world came to not having Seth Myers. Gives me Shivers.
Seth Meyers on Blocks today and tickets to see you tonight at The Town Hall! I should also buy a lottery ticket or something....because, damn. ❤
7 5 and 2
His latest stand up is all about family and kids. Highly recommend if you can catch him touring.
I would love more of his comments about the third child…”and me?” (nope, not the third kid, not for the family ski trip). Loved Lobby Baby, cheers
I had to save this for tonight. This strike has me FUKKED up
This is like the sweetest nectar before I DIE OF THIRST.
No he meant still water, as in his didn't make a noise when he opened it (30:35)...whole other callback level, nice Seth
Studio 60 never got a fair shake. Those of us who were fans tend to think that it didn't really lose out to 30 Rock ... it more lost out to Friday Night Lights. (Though fair to say, if 30 rock hands existed it might have gotten a 2nd season at a different time).

It definitely deserved another season. It's funny that networks don't mind having multiple medical or cop shows, but can't have two shows about a late night show on at the same time
Whoa. I’ve been thinking the last 10+ years and Studio 60 was a fever dream!!
When is that Electric Guest song finally getting released? I've been waiting!!
Seinfeld didn't "keep going".
He's _definitely_ Front Of The Class funny.
That "still being the keyword here" joke was missed by Neal, but I see you Seth.
Seth Meyers largest block is the writers strike (he is WGA so its fine)
Tony Hawk rules! Excellent interview.
Best one yet! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Man, for a second I got excited thinking Seth had a podcast about plants...
Crushing dude, keep it up
Does Seth like In Bruges? I hadn't noticed. I would love to be at a Meyers family summer outing. I miss his show immensely. . I really like Seth and his excellent team of writers (THAT SHOULD BE PAID, but I digress)
Missing Seth a ton also. His podcast with Josh is really nice. Especially since we're so Seth deprived, but I think it would be nice regardless 🐾🐾
They should invite Lorne on the podcast and then torture Neal by refusing to talk about SNL.
And put-downs peppered in 😂
I'd also love a supercut of every Neal utterance of "Lorne".
Enjoyed the show, not to many “blocks” but makes sense. If you are a really good friends, there’s really not a need to ask questions that you already know the answer to..
Seth please 🙏 we miss you 😢 take care until the union is successful ❤
37:43 This just sound like actors Vs writers just a bit. It just sounds like they’ve worked their muscles in certain areas a bit more.
Of course some folks are naturally gifted but some folks can’t call the plays/allocate the talent as good.
The set design here is really the best I’ve seem
Seth deserves a new show 👏 With the same writing staff 👏
On the same damn network 👏
Call it Seth Meyers Tonight 👏
Seeeeeeth! We miss you man
The Laowa 12mm lens doesn't have Fisheye distortion, but most 12mm lenses or wider will distort. 😁 Good job Neal.
I love the Blocks podcast... feel like they scrambled a bit at the end to actually get any blocks. But I enjoyed two good friends sitting around shooting the shit about the past
I listen to a lot of political podcasts and this was a wonderful break 😂
Hope the strike is successful for the writers and actors 😁 we sure miss the laughs 😂😂👍
I'm happy you had a run about lenses.
Wow, you guest list is A list! NIce
Not a big Sandburg fan but his Rahm Emanuel is hilarious. ⭐️
I guess Seth doesn't many blocks. Ha. Great conversation.
Please end Blocks with Bianca as your guest!
Love this idea!
One of the only chances to see seth. Now live. I wont be able to go to it here n vegas, but cool they're doing a 3rd strike show. Tickets go on sale tomorrow friday. Show is sep 23, 2023 las vegas
I wont be able to go and I live here. 😮
My favourie part of Blocks, is that no one wears headphones.
How about a Corrections episode based on this interview, go to town jackals :)
Super grateful for this!!!👏👏🙏🙏🙌
so, Benevolent Hot-dogger, and Father.
what a monster
As much as I like the practicality of knowing beforehand what the Blocks will be in the demarcation of the video, it is way better to actually watch without knowing it.
I yelled at my daughter this morning. Thank you Neil for making me feel better about it. Lol.
My favorite 🤩
