Protip: Don't destroy the purple dock on the left side of the middle island at last. The dock can not be reached by melee units and purple (with pop space from the base in the eastern corner) will accumulate an armada of ships there if it is the last remaining one, right in the transport path to the southern island. You cant defeat this amount of ships with dragon ships. I had to transport some archers over that slowly shot down the dock doing one damage with each attack.
Small clarification on your post. Don’t forget to destroy the purple dock on that island. Because purple docks auto spawn like 6-8 demos and 5 fast fires and are an absolute pain to deal. Also recommend going the ornlu route and totally ignoring all the aux bases in the east. The reward for the princess isn’t worth the time to clear that area
great gameplay dude you are very good at the game. also people are judging the scenarios harshly. i mean these scenarios are made by one person come on give him a break. making these scenarios isnt easy fellas, each one takes so many triggers and what not. i loved all of these scenarios made by filthydelphia!
People aren't necessarily judging the scenarios or Filthydelphia by themselves, but the fact that they charge 15$ for what was previously mostly free content, and they surely didn't update a lot of it to justify such a price. Even the new scenarios feel like quickly thrown together rehashed concepts, the whole thing just can't shake the feeling of trying to be a maximum profit for minimum effort. If you are gonna charge $15 for this, I do expect some quality of live updates that simply aren't there. I will also say this, Filithydelphia has a very particular style of designing campaigns that isn't for everyone. If you like them, great, if you are a fan of shorter and/or less gimmicky campaigns, you might struggle and be frustrated. Some of the campaigns do feel unnecessarily grindy and slow to me, and some concepts really are repeated quite a lot. It's not all bad, I had fun with most of the campaigns, but I can understand why people are disappointed by what they got, either because it isn't without problems or it simply wasn't what they wanted.
The fact that this has three Viking centric missions. If that's not proof that the Vikings NEED a full campaign, I don't know what is. ...I nominate Harald Hardradde. (hope I spelled that right)
38:00 venice actually is on the eastern side of the po river, so it's positionally better than having it on the west but still it should be a mini-island - something far too small to fit on this map which is why the creator made it separate on shore.
Dealing with the byzantine navy and army was extremely annoying, else an okayish Raiding and Plundering scenario but not even close to finehair or Ragnar
I think they should have added one from their side. I would have loved to see a south Asian scenario. About Sher Shah Suri establishing Sur empire for brief period by defeating Mughal emperor Humayun.
In these viking scenarios I always for throwing axemen because of the pathing, usually you are fighting in closed spaces and enemies come at you in a line, axemen kill then one by one before they even get hit, also towers between buildings are not an issue
My game glitched out on me and didn't give me Hvitserk when I found the Tarkans. :/ I had to change the vikings to enemy at the end after exploring 100% of the map and killing everything and kill the priest at the home base to get the victory, leaving only 3/4 Norse Heroes found.
Three Viking scenarios with this DLC and two already in DE. And this I feel is showing how we'll never get a true Viking campaign. Just raiding and exploring scenarios.
Well I really don't like the way you play it, but you have the most entertaining campaign videos imo and I like to watch them....but duuude why sooo reckless?!😆 Things are shooting at you and you keep hitting random buildings that can wait till everything's clear lol. More fun this way?🙃

They aren't judging the scenarios per-se. Though some are objectively boring/basic. They are judging the price affixed to it.
