I've used the Long & Short blanket stitch for pockets, cuffs and collars to decorate the edges. Never considered pine trees ! Thank you for your tutorial 🍄🍄 Now I want to embroider various trees on my utility muslin drawstring bags..... Where are my favorite handkerchiefs....In the Weeping Willow bag....Of course!
For all of us who are teaching ourselves through your extraordinarily helpful free tutorials, this one is fabulous as usual . I never would think of doing the stitches for foliage that you use. You always make things do achievable. Big thanks 😊 🙏 ❤
I have a question for anyone who can help me. When using a Veragrated floss how do you know or control where the dark or lights end up. Or is it pot luck.
Dear teacher, your interpretation of trees is brilliant! I could never have guessed there were wo many interesting ways of filling a tree design. Thank you so much. And I love the little black and white cat on your shelf. An adorable memory of a lost very loved one..... xoxoxo to you all.
Just found you and ginger cat.....oh my goodness ....thank you for sharing what you know...I listened to your chit chat videos a good way to get to know you...watching the playlist is so helpful for a beginner..Thank you Sarah for being on line 🪡🧵😻💜
I am a fairly new to embroidery and when I saw this video I thought it would be way above my skill level. These look easy enough to take a stab at it (while the video plays again) I am from the US got a laugh when you said (for tree 2) that you go clockwise unless you're from the US and go counterclockwise. Your direction is still clockwise to us. LOL Loved this tutorial so much I subscribed. Thank you for opening my eyes to various stitches and ways to do trees.
l certainly agree with all the positive comments, your work is amazing and beautiful. Much appreciated too. Thank you for sharing your valuable time and knowledge . with us.❤❤
Thank you so much Sarah I really appreciate it enjoyed that .This is my first time watching your video, hope to watch you again to put me in the mood to hand stitch.🌺🌺🌺
Thank you Sarah and Jonathan for this video. I am trying a small landscape piece at the moment so your trees could not have come at a better time. No Ginger cat today ? it is amazing how we become so used to seeing him supervising your stitching that he is missed when not around.
Well I've just stumbled upon you this evening and I just love you and I love all your little trees! Aren't you just so clever?❤ Thank you so much and I will be watching you to learn how to do lovely stitches.
Lovely video! I've mixed two different coloured strands in a few pieces, just from experimenting, so great to see a teacher doing it too 😊. Great to see you back looking happy & well.
So awesome- I just recently developed a love for embroidery and slow stitching so finding your channel is a real treasure. Thank you for your clear visual and verbal instructions as I learn better by seeing rather than just telling! I am so going to give these trees a go.
Never thought to use the blanket stitch for the pine tree. Willow trees are my favorite too! I will definitely be using your techniques doing some projects in the future. So easy with beautiful outcome. Thank you so much.
Sarah is such a wonderful teacher to introduce new ways to use standard embroidery stitches. I've already added her pine tree to my sampler muslin roll. Next I want to add the willow. Great additions 🍄🍄
Well I don’t often send texts. But thought I should say thank you for your time and effort in helping me broaden my stitches. I love watching all your videos but i am so obsessed with trees. Can’t wait to get back home so I can try some of these stitches out!
Sarah, this is the best vid! I love-love to do trees & have never seen them done your way. But i will incorporate them into my next piece. Have a blessed day 🌈💚🙏💚🌈
Hello from Lani in Chesapeake Virginia USA. I love watching your videos. I've been a seamstress forever. I'm inspired now to take up embroidery again ❤
You have inspired me to start embroidery a month ago, and even though I am just a beginner, I love trying the beautiful stitches you teach us - your work is very inspiring!🤗
Having just watched this video, I have a much greater appreciation for this project. Such a great sampler of so many great stitches and techniques. Thanks for this!
I can't wait to start this one, Sarah. Thank you so much. It's lovely to have you back again. I hope you, Jonathon, and Ginger Cat are doing well. Lots of love.

Sarah, you make it seem so easy. Thanks for sharing. The way you've done this gives a little way to "do your own thing", sort to speak. You've inspired me to try embroidering again. I had almost given it up. I will start again, thanks to you!
This is wonderful. I did my first stitched landscape in January/February. And options of to do trees was a place I struggled. Now I’ll have a few more options to choose from. I hope to practice these on my scroll soon. As always enjoy your teaching style and greatly appreciate you sharing your knowledge and skills. 🫶🏼
Wow this one using the rouched ribbon 🎗️ is so effective. I'd never thought of it but again you've opened my eyes 👀 to quite a few different options in this tutorial
This video is just in time as I'm stitching a piece now and a tree is in it lovely stitches 😊❤ the fern one is my favourite using spilt stitch. I love French knots too
I loved all the trees and would love to stitch a picture of our garden when we have flowers fruit and wildlife as well. Thank you both very much. Love Vera in ireland❤
I have been binge watching your videos, thank you! I discovered your channel a couple of days ago. My late mum used to embroider table cloths; I now see the appeal. I have been doing some embroidery myself since my pup passed on, as a form of therapy. I just find your videos very relaxing to watch. Greetings from Malaysia 🇲🇾
So good to watch, such a relaxed calm teacher. Your trees and flowers in the previous video have really inspired me. I have been gifted some orphan blocks from my friend's quilts which I have turned into a lap quilt . There was one surplus bock which I have turned into a pouch but it looks so bland so I am having a go at some embroidery on the plain cream areas to create a bit of interest. This video is perfect for me. Thankyou. X
Thanks a ton Maam for your lovely tutorial all this while I was wondering how to fill the trunk of a tree n I bumped into your video ...amazing , thank you so very much ❤
I have wanted to learn how to stitch trees for so long. Now thanks to you I will be making some of the beautiful examples. Thank you for being such a amazing teacher.

That was so useful. Who knew you could do trees with ribbon? I'm going to have to do forest scenes now.
Ribbon is usually associated with flowers so it was nice to do some different with it!
