I have been to probably over a hundred very large concerts and festivals and certainly so, New Years in the Everglades was a pinnacle for me too! It was the music it was the atmosphere, the people the place... part of it was the journey that took me there. I will never forget it and I will forever be trying to revisit. There was so much generosity. For a few hours I was separated from my friend and was pretty bummed out and soo many people came up to me that could see that I wasn't ok, asking me how they could help. I did find my way back to the warm good groove. How the sun came up on New Years Day directly center stage. It felt as if we as a whole, the crowd and the band brought that sunrise up. I could go on and on all day about that show, so I'll stop for now, but thank you for those unimaginable memories!..........CHEESECAKE!!
I think this may be my first Phish Show.. I found a ticket stub from June 28 2000 PNC NJ and that's where I saw My First Show.. Being A Hard Core Dead Head I refused to submit ..My friends tried to show me the way... I would have none of it.. I hadn't mourned Jerry yet... That was very closed minded of me.. I was so closed minded that I went against the very spirit in which I loved music.. I'm better now.. I love Phish and I leaned to look inside for the answers and learn to live with what is.. I Still Miss Him Everyday!!!
Man Trey is SOOOOOOOOO different nowadays---in a VERY GOOD way! He has an edginess to him here that is hard to put your finger on (some think it is substances and it may be, but I am not sure). Trey has always had the capacity to be a jerk, and I think that side of him took over for a few years about this time. Now, an older, wiser, more centered (and very sober) Trey speaks with more of the vibe he had in the older the days. Something darker comes through here.
00' ....and pretty much still today....trey is my least favorite member in phish... Very smart, edgy fella...you get the sense 00' strangefolk was rocking it hard....
@ 36:25 Trey asks Mike "Are you ok" and you can see in mikes face he was not on the same page as Trey and maybe Page was, and I think Trey knew he kind of dropped a small bomb on him, and maybe felt bad.
Man, the way Mike barley nods and doesn't make eye contact... he's like well what if I'm not? we're in the middle of an interview.. glad the boys seem to all be on the same page these days!
Love 41:00 where they're answering "whats one piece of music memorabilia you would Like to buy?" And trey says "just had a horrible thought. Those cotton swabs elvis used to put the liquid blow up his nose",
Painful to watch. This is at least 1/2 of a band not on the same page AT ALL...and a short time later would prove that. Fast forward to now: Trey is extremely fortunate to be sober and with a tamed ego like he is today with these guys (other than Covid shutting shit down this year). This could very well have ended on some weird and irreparable CSNY sort of trip.
Opiates make your pupils pinned. Dilated would mean LSD, MDMA, or maybe meth dilates. I doubt he's on either 3 of those. Could be on meth I suppose@@MysticOracle
He has stated that he doesn't dabble in hard stuff or even weed very much at all. He had to stay straight for all those years of holding down the bass/artillery for the unpredictable lead guitarist/rifleman haha
@@ryanmilke6053 I see that reflected when looking at the contrast between Trey and Mike's posture- Trey keeps very loose knees and shoulders, moving as a part of his musical expression. Mike on the other hand, limits his movement to his groovy metronome of a head, and maybe rocking slightly from side to side. Focused on holding it down!
It would be sad if they were pinned cuz that means opiates. Dilated means MDMA or LSD which is not very sad imo Edit:meth might dilate since it's related to MDMA. I'm not sure. Meth would be sad
My favorite Bathtub Gin of all time was played later this night, I celebrate 6/28 almost every year by listening to it.

Took the words right out of my mouth
He sounds very nonchalant but almost in a condescending way. Like he can’t be bothered to do the interview.
You say that as Mike sits there with his eyes barely open
lol. Trey is a rockstar here. Now he’s a sober broadway guy that can’t play like he used too. And I’m still going to 10 shows this summer
00' ....and pretty much still today....trey is my least favorite member in phish...
Very smart, edgy fella...you get the sense
00' strangefolk was rocking it hard....
The start of this feels like a police interegation
😆
"What's next?" -- "A hiatus, basically"
Just saw this randomly in my recommended. Funny they played a raging Gin later that day
IW@TS. My first!

My first show was on this date which is pretty wild

then he says the Led Zeppelin mudshark and the interview ends abruptly haha
Roseland was so dope 🙌 ... note for note perfection
Thank you for he upload!
trying to picture trey and kid rock chillin at a party
Sounds like a banger of a time to me
It's so odd to see how unassuming and shy they are.... but their whole life is performing before massive crowds!
My boys. Cheers!
I love this 🐟🐠🐡
Damn trey is rippin, good interview though!!

Yep. You can even see how Trey's pupils are super dilated even in this vid. It's sad.

Wow, Trey is high as fuck. But I still love this
Mike's face makes him look constantly stoned, or is he just always stoned

Great story about Fish's dating habits!
this is mike tucking
"You suck at tucking"
this is fun but im more into the smokin half spanish half irish type thanks
mike is quiet quitting
They both look like they’re in bad shape here. Trey is obviously high and Mike seems like he’s in some weird mental situation.
Durgs
Kokain eyes....

@@mohegansonso many great fruits of life to choose between for the day!
Jesus, Trey's pupils are dilated like dimes even on this crappy fidelity. Sad.
