Thank you for this! I don’t believe that ovarian cancer mostly presents late…. I believe drs pride themselves on seeing “horses” vs “zebras.” This isn’t specific to ovarian cancer but definitely applies to it for those of us in the US. I see more acceptance as of late for medical providers to accept patients choosing to learn and research for themselves. Giving full trust to a person to do a job when their job involves our life…. That can be dangerous. Drs are human, too and can have bad days or mis information.

I think the stressing of the persistent bloating is kinda wrong. I have heard way too many survivor stories who say their bloating did waxe and wane and weren't diagnosed till far later because of that linear thinking.

I’ve been back and forth to my gp I have pcos but I’ve been very unwell for around 2-3 months and it’s just getting worse I’m overweight and they shrug me off and tell me to lose weight and it will fix my problems, I’ve got a very swollen stomach that makes me look 9 months pregnant, I’ve had no cycle for almost a year but for a month I’ve had non stop brown/black blood/clots, I’m constantly tired and when I eat I feel very nauseated, I got stomach upset with acid reflux with pain in stomach near my underwear line I also have been very dizzy lately when I stand I feel light headed and sick to my stomach and my feet feel strange
With my stomach it feels like period cramps with pressure and my left side of my inner thigh near my underwear line hurts I can barely walk
All these symptoms and my gp won’t do anything

SAME 😭 (I'm going to the Dr soon) period cramp with pressure is the exact way I described it to my mom. My stomach was more swolen on one side at first- now my whole stomach is starting to inflate 😥. I slept over 15 hours yesterday and I am still so tired. I don't have dark clots but I have more of a milky white liquid. I feel so dizzy when I stand, I have to sit back down or wait like 2 mins. I can't even finish a kids meal 😞. I always feel full and I have only eaten a small bag of chips in 2 days. Just thinking about food makes me feel sick. I'm only 15, I can't have cancer. I'm hoping it's just a cyst and my ed is back +something else... I really don't want to have cancer.

    Blood test: Ca125
    Ultra sound scans.
No real test. Pelvic tenderness or mass.

What if you have all these symptoms which include unusual long intense bleeds, perimenopausal, distended abdomen, tiredness, unable to eat like before, stabbing pain in overy and right upper abdominal area, can't fit into waistline area of any of one's normal clothes and your ultrasound comes back and the report describes numerous fibroids and tumors on ovary liver and uterus? Now what? I keep taking tests they keep coming back something's there I feel like crap but there's no answers still and the doctors seem to just be blowing me off. I've never felt so horrible and it's been going on for weeks now. I know something's wrong.

    1. Bring ovarian into conversation
    2. Diagnosis does not happen right away.
