I am 50.. had a total, including ovaries, hysterectomy at 25. Yesterday I sat with a GYN Oncologist and listened as she told me I have ovarian remnant syndrome and having surgery on the 11th to remove it and make sure it's not malignant. I have one mass and several small cysts in a place nothing should be. Thank you for this video.

My history is much like yours. Only mine was at 29 years old. I am 58 now and having bloating, belly pain. And yesterday started throwing up black. Very tender still but stopped vomiting. I have not been to a gyn in years. Maybe I should.

My ovarian cancer started with skipping a monthly period here and there and more than normal bleeding as well as very little bleeding. I thought I was in menopause. Then I developed a very consistent cough that I could not get rid off. 2 rounds of strong antibiotics and Prednisone but the cough persists. I felt pain in my abdomen but thought it was because of the coughing and constipation. THEN I developed ascites!!! Very uncomfortable. My doctor diagnosed it as IBS at first. I went back to tell him the prescription is not working. He sent me for an ultrasound thank God! That is when it was picked up that I had a mass on my right side and a cyst on my left side. I had a full hysterectomy 6 weeks ago after 3 rounds of chemo and a thousand natural cancer protocols on my own. I had my 4th chemo 2 days ago. 2 more to go!!

    We need ovary detection tests!
I am diagnosed with the RAD51D mutation gene. I’m on waiting list for removal of my ovaries and the remainder of my fallopian tubes to be removed as a prevention to Ovarian cancer. The RAD51D is also linked to breast cancer and now “maybe” also to pancreatic cancer as well. I inherited this gene from both my mom & my dad so I was born with it. I am high risk for this gene bc I’m age 65 so I’m awaiting my preventive surgery at Women’s College Hospital. My hospitalized stay in 2021 was my silver lining to finding this RAD51D mutation gene bc I signed up for Mount Sinai Gencov blood study to help with covid research and with that came Genetic testing which I didn’t know. Thank god genetic testing was a part of my Gencov study!!!🙏🏼
I have been getting menstrual cramps for the past 4-6 months and ultra sound was negative. I now left a message with my family dr that I still have these menstrual cramps and they are more now and closer together. Very worrisome. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

I understand that it’s on some level important to point out all the other things that could be, but you see this is why people don’t get tested for ovarian cancer, because the medical profession and themselves even can kind of just point to all these other things that it could be, and not just check for ovarian cancer, writing it off to potentially one of these mini, mini mini things that causes all these many many symptoms.
Thank you for pointing out all of the five signs of ovarian cancer and addressing all the other things that it could be And encourage diagnostics I had no clue. These were signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer and there’s been many assumptions. It’s all these other things.

It’s best to see a doctor to check on the ovarian cyst, especially if it’s causing discomfort. Treatments can include monitoring, medication, or sometimes surgery. Some people also find natural remedies like ginger or turmeric helpful, but it’s always good to combine these with proper medical advice. Take care of yourself!

Fighting stage three now…I did go to my docs about the symptoms but because I’d had a total hysterectomy 35 years prior they didn’t even speak of anything pelvic related. I had to demand an ultrasound. I’m 10 months in treatment so far and no one knows if it will be eradicated.

Ok sorry your going through this we lost our mum and sister and many other family members from this, Dr says it's Ibs or gallstone that's why you need help sooner, but most Dr 's don't see so they dismiss it as women's issues, as simple conditions, ginger root in Canada they have done some trails with ovarian cancer patients and it's good for most... Castor oil and tumeric can also help getting the tumour, drink😢 carrot juice too half an hour before a meal, I hope this can help you, out sister told me about ginger but she found out too late. 🤗 Hope you have plenty of water and celtic or himalayan salt crystals just few can really help just before drinking glass of water, and not drinking with your food really helps, lemon water in the morning can help add little ginger and honey if you want... Tc keep ☺ be strong and listen to your own body, think 🤔 positive. 🙏🏿💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer (Epithelial, High Grade Serous & HRD) in March this year.
I was sickly all last year. It suddenly kicked off with these symptoms on Christmas Day 2022. I drank a lot of eggnog (in Australia, we have cold eggnog without alcohol). My aunty said it was because I drank too much eggnog that I was so severely bloated - but for a month? Thus, I had no milk or dairy (except yoghurt) all year. I was ill for a month, then it seemed to go away. (My doctor was on extended 3-month vacation - he's post-retirement age). But during that time, I was breathless, and took it as my asthma.
Throughout the year, I had what I thought was UTI's. I was really fatigued, and cancelled multiple medical appts (or made them TeleHealth calls).
Then last Christmas, I still felt a bit bloated. But on New Year's Day (or the day after?), I had these same symptoms as the year before. Again, my doctor was on an extended 3-month vacation. I was really ill. But this time, I had bowel incontinence, but my bladder wasn't working... except when I stood up, I'd cough & wet myself.
But this time, I generally had trouble urinating. I could barely pee. Ironically, my body was sweating all over, all over my skin, no matter the weather - hot or cold. It's as though I was sweating out unwanted fluids, or else not much fluid was left to pee.
I finally got tests (my doctors had given me referrals for tests - long story). No UTI, but a protein marker had suddenly jumped up. That made my Rheumatologist worried.
I finally got a double ultrasound (which I had to wait for). I had a large Ovarian Tumour.
Anyway, I've since been drained of ascites & pleural effusion, had 6 rounds of chemo (last one next week), and recently had a radical hysterectomy, BSO, omentectomy & cancer-debulking surgery. Once I start on maintenance-meds, I hipe to go mask-free, and live a little more notmally.
But what gets me is that a symptom is "frequency". I didn't have frequency (although I'm thinking of this time - I can't remember if I had frequency when it first raised its head.
But what I love about your video, is that you're the first to say "urgency". YES, I suddenly had urgency throughout that interim year. I would get a dignal to go pee, and then not always make it to the loo (but I wore pads to protect myself). I definitely had urgency. I can't remember having frequency in that interim time, or if I did, it was the odd day here & there.
    Thank you for saying "urgency".
If only I knew the symptoms of Ovarian Cancer, I wouldn't have ignored the first major sign of it the year before when I felt so ill. Who knows how long I had it? I had to have had it longer than a year, because the symptoms only flare when it's advanced.
Fortunately for me, my body has responded well to chemotherapy, and all is looking good... for now. I know it's a killer, as it brings on secondary cancers. (Oh, my Omentum was riddled with cancer, which they removed, and my lungs have 8 spots in them that they call "micro-metastases". So, it's suspected that these might blow up into lung cancer. I've not had a CT scan of these since June - they were first found in March.)
Anyway, thanks for this video. I wish Ovarian Cancer symptoms were more known. Once my Rheumatologist suspected something was wrong, I instantly thought of "cancer", and re pelvic pain, "gynaecological cancer". I quickly came to believe I had Ovarian Cancer, so when told I had a large Ovarian Tumour, I wasn't surprised. I was actually relieved I had a diagnosis, and that it wasn't something in my head. The fill-in doctor who saw me thought I was crazy, but I was relieved... even though I knew this disease was incurable. My mum had died 3yrs before, plus another major stress in my life, so I thought it was a mental health issue building, ie delayed grief, depression, etc.
Anyway, "one day at a time". I can only face things as they present themselves to me. I had an Infuser Port inserted into my chest - a relief, as I've had multiple bouts of anaemia since.
I can't believe that this year, a tornado has struck my life... and yet, I can be confident that I won't get sick with bloating, breathlessness, toileting issues, pelvic pain, nausea, etc this Christmas & New Year's. That's fixed now.
They admitted I was dying when they first saw me, but that they now hope I have a few good years ahead of me. Time will tell. I wanted to die, originally, because I was so ill. I expected chemo to make me severely more ill, but it immediately fixed my toileting issues, and made me feel well. Chemo has been easy, really. It was the Ovarian Cancer symptoms that made me so ill, not chemo. I'm glad I was talked into being treated. (although I'm still recovering from my major abdominal surgery, so I'm not quite there, yet).
