Meg it was an honor to meet and talk to you this past weekend at the NOCC conference. Your TEDx is so needed and I pray more people can see this. I will complete the survey and pass it onto friends and loved ones. I stand in agreement with you and pray we can find the missing link to this puzzle that can help develop a screening test, more accurate diagnosis and eventually a cure. Much love. Serena W.

I had the same exact type of ovarian cancer (germ cell) as gymnast Shannon Miller. I was 31. Very fit, non smoker, no cancer history, no family history for ovarian cancer. I was very very lucky and the doctor felt a mass in my abdomen during annual pap exam. Initially they thought it was a large cyst. After surgery to remove the cyst, biopsy came back malignant. It was such a shock. Luckily it was stage 1A but grade 2 so I still had to go through chemo.

I had ectopic pregnancy last year surgery of the fallopian was performed and found out that it has serous carcinoma. This year my lymphnodes on left clavicle swell and I was diagnosed with metastatic uterine cancer.

Many people know the answers to this. They’re called “conspiracy theorists.”

Smells like the pill is the problem. Or the mothers of the women's genetics or habits .

Goldena Medina I’ve known 3 woman with ovarian cancer and none of them had been on the pill! So no, the pill is not the culprit.

@@skyeblu1722 This doesn't mean anything. Some people know 3 women who were on the pill and got it. Some know 3 women who didnt. It's scientifically infignificant and misleading.

The pill - at least 1st generation actually provided some significant protection against OC, (as does childbirth and breastfeeding). BRCA gene plays a part in some - about a sixth.
