Regardless of the memory I try, I get a black screen when trying to turn on the computer (It doesnt even let me enter BIOS)... I have the i5 model.. according to Dell spec, it's 2133.. make sense because in Intel spec sheet for i5-7200u RAM support is 2133mhz.. You can still use 2400mhz, but it will run at 2133mhz. Strangely tho, Dell shipped out my order with 2400mhz RAM.

Yes. it's better to have two of the same size and brand rams, than having two different size ones even if they were from the same brand, and it's not recommended to different brand ones since they could have different speeds/voltage/ heating difference. like it mainly depends on your motherboard but for safety just buy 2 that are the same size and from the same brand so that you don't face any problems regarding the speed or the voltage difference between them.

The laptop's motherboard only supports 2133mhz ram speed. So even if u put ram with speed more than 2133mhz(like 2400mhz or 2666mhz), it will run only at 2133mhz speed. So even if the laptop has 2400mhz ram inside it, it runs at 2133mhz. You can buy either 2133mhz or more speedier 2400mhz or 2666mhz rams but they all will run at 2133mhz only and will all work just fine.

The CPU is stick into the mainboard and cannot be removed, you will need a mainboard replacement if you want to upgrade cpu
