recently upgraded my laptop same model, dell 3567 ,1TB HDD replaced with 1TB ssd Samsung evo 870 after using Samsung's free cloning software 'Samsung data migration'....worked very well...no problem with secure boot on...Even AV was on but kept it in flight mode/disconnect internet...also upgraded the RAM 4GB 2400MHz 1.7 v with another 4 GB RAM 2400MHz...upto 8 GB ...spec shows that this model can accept upto 32 GB RAM but for my basic use it would be an over-kill..prying out the palm rest from the base was quite tough the 1st time esp near the right hinge....there prying under the metal strip of the DVD slot lip adjacent to the hinge and a bit side to side move/wiggle of the base, easily cleared that sticky right hinge (left one if the laptop is upside down!) while the innards are open ...might as well change the CMOS battery and clean the dust from the fan....

Thank you so much, very detailed step by step process that got me through putting an SSD in here. Now it runs perfectly! Will come back to this for RAM or DVD hard drive swap. Very helpful!

Thanks ! Excellent detailed step by step, clear narration, cautions at critical points where you could easily break your computer. a dummy like me replaced hard drive. Am sticking with Binh's tutorials, he won't steer you wrong. Sending donation

Thank you. Just used your instructions to upgrade to SSD for the exact same model as in your video. Worked like a charm. I had a refurbished Dell Outlet model that I found out was missing 4 of the various screws. Hope it holds together!

Thank you for this excellent video. I've upgraded several laptops, but each is slighty different. After not getting the ssd cable seated properly the first time, I found that taking the unit apart the second time was much easier.

  • @Praveen-ud4wu

Excellent video. Really helpful. I need to replace with an SSD tomorrow for a colleague as the 1 TB hdd that came in with the laptop is dead slow ! In fact, I googled a lot today and also dell support to see if this model supports M.2 NVME. Now I know for sure, it does not support. Thanks a ton !!

about keeping a track of the screws....i make a diagram on a piece of thermocol/foam about the screw positions and stick the screws on the foam as per the diagram....that way one can identify which screw goes where ....and doesnt get lost....also keep a magnet handy if some screw jumps off and needs 'magnet-fishing' to find

Not even sure what you're getting at, but great tutorial, I haven't even finished taking it apart yet and I've already demolished a number of clips, screw holes, and other plastic bits holding my laptop together, and this is after taking every screw out, every ribbon cable unplugged, and while using a pry tool. Can't wait to see what my disaster of a laptop looks like when it's back together, assuming it even functions still.
