As a VW lupo 1.0 MPI Owner, I understand this struggle to 60MPH.
I bet they're fun in the corners though.
@@arronjohnstracey3280 Only when you have saved enough £ to buy and install a genuine lowering coilover kit and Powerflex A.R.B bushes does it become fun. Stock Suspension is awful. (I'm running AP Coilovers, Powerflex Black series on the A.R.B, the other bushes have Powerflex road series bushes installed). So country back roads are great fun now, once I've waited a millennium to gain some speed....
@@callumpetch7903 sounds like a lot fun, at least once you've got that speed up you haven't really got to slow down. What are the brakes like on them? I'm thinking of getting a small car as little project so this might be it in a few months.

I loved the sound of mine. It was pretty rough but sounded great for a car of its size like pint sized muscle car. People used to think it had a much bigger engine in it.
@@nielsdebakker3283 the v5 is one of my favourite cars I've ever had the pleasure of. Very rare in the UK and just sounds beautiful. Odd cylinders are my favourite engines.

‘If it can even do 60’ I know for a fact the 1.0mpi 8v ones can cruise along at 105mph with the revs pinned at 6k 😂.
Also that turbo can’t have been doing anything at the start there because that was slower than the stock 0-60 time 😂😂😂

When I was thinking about buying a T5 I was not brave enough to go with the 5cyl despite the fact I love the sound of 5cyls and this one sounds awesome.
My instinct said they put it on the recovery race truck, as the only other thing would be a engine swap and that certainly wouldnt be a quick job on that thing, gotta say tho for novelty value that turbo is awesome lol

I'm confused by the aftermarket turbo shown here, the claimed 0-60 stock (but new) was 17.4 seconds for the 50hp 1L inline 4... it can't be making much extra usable area under the power-curve than it already was NA to still be this slow. Maybe time for a dyno run, tune, and possibly "ghetto fogging" some NOS towards the intake to try see if you can get to the magic 88 miles an hour needed to turn back time and never buy this mistake.

Still got a Arosa Mk2 04 plate. Slow as a shopping cart but the cheapest run around I’ve owned. Whole suspension and most of underside is less than 2 years old just because it’s so cheap for parts and keeps everything fresh, only thing you struggle to find is body panels. (So if anybody knows anywhere that sells panels for a Arosa Mk2 let me know please)

I had a prefacelift Arosa for my first car. The good thing about it was you could have your foot flat to the floor everywhere. It was super low too so honestly felt like a wee go cart. You guys thought about getting a Lupo GTi tho?

my t5 swb 2.5axe auto .240 ish hp do 0-60 in 7.94 sec empty
1.9 tdi with a hybrid turbo
I just looked up the stats and that 17s 0-60 time is its standard time that turbo wasn't doing anything.

Why a tuned diesel engine is better then a petrol turbo tuned?Can you give me a good answere?I know your company is very good on diesel tune,but still why do you think diesel powered engines can outrun a petrol turbo engine?
Performance only Petrol is better. We still win races with diesel but for a fast daily you can't beat a Diesel.
