Bro I just love the Art of Murata whenever he just draws whatever he wants. I mean like you said. Everything is just insane. Whenever I see this man post art on Twitter instantly when I become aware of it.
Murata is not about details and athmospheric perspective, backgrounds and most of the shading is done by assistants. Murata focuses and panelling and gesture. And this is where he shines the most
his panelling and pacing is so slow tho. It gives the vibe of many panning shots and slow-mos. Almost snyder-like. Imo his strenghts are as the video says, plus I agree with the gesture, but not the panneling.

Murata is till this day, my #1 favorite illustrator, the #2 being Horikoshi. I dunno what to say, I think his arts are pure epic. The way he draws action scenes, details, colors, expressions, I love them all.
Eyeshield21 was such a gamble for a sport manga as the main sport was not popular rather than football(soccer). But with interesting and compelling writing from Inagaki sensei also artstyles from Murata-sensei , it saved the manga a lot. I collected a few early volumes of Eys21 where his artstyles was still rough , sharp edges, thin lines and inconsistent of shapes . But Murata-sensei's matured his artstyles, which happened around deathmatch arc in USA. Every arc became so much beautiful to read, "show not to tell", double page spread, dynamic movement and surrounding. Unfortunately , its anime was not provided the best animation
For me Murata and Kazushi Hagiwara (Bastard) have the most absurd monsters ever drawn. Tsutomu also achieves some of that, but in terms of scale and design, Murata and Kazushi create unbelievable creatures and discard them for the Overpower protagonist to finish, generally the artists in my head they will make the most of the best design possible with these two don't have that. And what I'm talking about doesn't sum up everything Murata and a little bit of Bastard do with the rest of his art, which is a pure source of inspiration for us artists, Murata and the author of Bastard they taught me how to make art in my maximum while fearlessly discarding good art ideas to tell a simple but engaging story.
His art style can never be copied, the manga looks better than the anime. And it was said he would help with season 3 to make it easier for the animators
Fubuki and Tatsumaki are the Super Models of OPM manga. The character design is great. Their simple plain clothing made their beautiful character design stand out more with the addition of Clothing wrinkles that gives like a sprinkle to the character art. I think thats why he loves drawing them a lot.
As I can't choose 10 authors exactly, each one in their placement, I put several authors in each position. Murata is my Top 3 too, except that he shares it with Bastard's designer, Blame artist. Behind second place with City Hunter, Vinland Saga and Midnight Children. And first place with Katsuhiro Otomo having first place all to himself.
I love it when you upload these artists analysis videos - keep up the good work. I suggest if you really if you want to get more engagedment withyour artwork, you should incorporate some of your speed paints into these videos and show how this artist the influences your work.
I think you covered all the most important aspects of what makes Murata's artwork astonishing. While I do not know to which extent it is him or his assistants taking care of the small details or the shading, even just the sense for composition, gesture, perspective, anatomy and movement are enough to make his work stellar.

These art analysis videos are awesome man, keep it up. By the way I'd reccomend checking out Takashi Takeuchi, he's the main artist who worked on Fate/stay night and his art style, evolution, aswell as character designs are among some of my favorites.
I think what makes one punch man so good is how one and murata work off each other one works best with posing and conveying movement despite the simplistic art style, this can be seen with how if you look manga panels and compare it to its webcomic counterpart they a lot are identical which gives murata the ability to just make the best looking panels imaginable
Great video! For sure! For me he is the best active mangá ilustrator of this generation! When it comes to art he packs all th punches and check-boxes!! He is even capable to create different facial structures to different characters with good taste and ease! My favorite mangá is One Piece, but that masterpiece is an amazing marriege between story, characters and world building. But when it comes to the art alone, Murata is the best in the business today!!

I HIGHTLY recommend checking if you haven't already, Shinichi Sakamoto and his works Climber and Innocent. He uses digital media nowadays and uses pre rendered assets when drawing the panels for his works due to it being faster but by no means he is not skilled to draw on that level of realism since he was a traditional artist in the past. I especially love his dramatic and nuanced way of laying the scenes, use of symbolism and lighting.

have you considered doing an analysis on AidaIro? Aida does the art for toilet bound hanako kun and I've always considered the art to be it's strongest and most unique asset. this is just a suggestion, although I'm sure you've already seen how discussed the artstyle is.
Almost all of these praises don’t seem to understand what makes his art good at all. Foreshortening is easy, yusuke makes it look so good bc he understands anatomy and proportions so well that he can maintain anatomy while distorting proportions for shortening. Which is impressive considering how fast he sketches. It’s not that he uses foreshortens, it’s not that he uses reflections, it’s how consistent he is with the illusion of 3 dimensions on a 2d plane. Not just proportions but shadows, debris, cracks, ricochet projectiles, rain, lightning etc etc. he’ll maintain these aspects even when the angle or perspective changes. These artworks he makes are only good bc of these things.
I hope you look at Makoto Yukimura (Vinland Saga) and Akira Amano (Reborn!) one day! They're my two favourites despite having very different art styles.
If you like detailed Art like that of Yuzuke Murara, you should check out the works of Bryan Hitch. (In my opinion one of the best illustrators of the west).
The only thing that I don't like about this art is in several moments that he weighs his hand in the lighting, as if many parts of everything were too bright, in addition to sometimes he weighs his hand with the gray. But it's not something that gets in the way, because his black and white and the transition from one to the other has a contrast with this very strong light emanating from everything and these "aspects" happened much more in the last moments of the arc of the foundation of heroes against that of villains so it's not something that bothered me throughout the manga

As far as manga artists go, Yusuke is probably my favorite. I really like the way he draws faces, insane work.
He is my favorite illustrator by far. Reading opm fight scenes is so fluently and telling by just the drawings, it's done so well.
