Yeah I see what you’re saying. OPM is like a hit song. It’s really good and you understand why everyone likes but Mob is like that deep cut on the album that is under appreciated but still just as good and over time, people come around to its greatness.
It's weird I watched both still finishing mob but I personally don't enjoy OPM as much about MOB plus I might have to rewatch OPM in a couple years I rushed through it and don't remember much of OPM@@piratediaries572
Art never really sells stories, I've read tonnes of boring manga with incredible art, but if the story and characters aren't good or likeable no body is going to read it. Look at American comic books during the Golden and Silver ages, the art was amateurish by todays standards but those books told great stories, and sold more copies than a modern comic could ever hope to

Thank you! I’m glad you liked it. I’ll definitely add a Mob Video to the list. It’s one of my favorite series. Once I figure a unique take for a video on it I’ll get on it .
One is by far one of my greatest inspirations. Even though his art doesn’t look like traditional manga, the stories he tells are honestly so unique and inspirational.
I agree. He is a great example of why you should always put 100% in your goals, even if you are doing it in an untraditional way. So many things he battled hit me hard. The wanting to create but the real world problems keep getting in your way both physically and mentally. When I first learned about some of the stuff he went through I wrote a part about the ways I can relate and why he made me believe I’m making the right choices in life and should double down but I took it out bc it was to long and broke the flow of the video. But still I agree he is an inspiration to all aspiring creators!
I would say that he totally lucked out because Murata picked up his comics and redrew them. There are a lot of of people who are just like ONE with pretty great storytelling with no drawing skills.
You're so wrong. There's a reason as to why Mutara chose to pick his manga. It was because it was VERY popular in the first place, also Mob wasn't redrawn by anyone it was one's art and it was so popular as well that it got anime without the help of anyone's redrawing. So don't downplay one's success.
