I gotta say man, it's always f'n C R I M I N A L to me seeing how few people know about your channel, your work is so nice! Keep on the good stuff going!!
This was awesome man! It helped me a lot in understand and better visualize the art of Yusuke Murata! You did an incredible work in analizing this! Since you did an amazing job, I would love to see another breakdown maybe of the artist Yuto Sano, he's very skilled and I'm in love with the artstyle! It would be great to see another breakdown/analysis! Keep up the great work!
This video was very helpful, I'm going to continue to watch your channel. I've been going through a slight slump in my art, as I'm 17 currently and preparing to go take collage art classes. I haven't seen any visible improvements in my art, and that's really got to me because I don't know how to properly study the fundamentals. I guess in short, I've felt a bit lonely in my art journey, and this channel seems like a light at the end of the tunnel I need. Thank you so much.
Glad to hear Johnny! Don't put too much pressure on yourself for not seeing improvement right away. Just like building muscle eventually you will, especially if you learned something tiny, can be a piece of knowledge or a technique, just by knowing your subconscious takes over. And ultimately drawing is just a skill, it doesn't limit your imagination only the expression of it. (In other words your inner creativity is NOT related to your current art skills!)
@@grantmiddlebrooks1704 it has! as of 2 months ago I've graduated high school, so I'm currently drawing for fun every day! When I go through a point where my eye gets better than my technical skill, i just go back to anatomy studies, then drawing for fun once my hand has gotten a bit better. My outlook on art has changed quite a bit, thats not to say that everyone goes through a slump, but I really do enjoy making art, and when I'm down I notice I improve the most when I'm having fun! a saying i really enjoy is "I may not be the best but I'm better than i was yesterday" the lesson is that you become better at something faster if you love it, and put in time to nurture that love. So, once again I want to say thank you @GameArts1 for your wonderful videos! they give me a really nice look into how some of my favorite artists make art!
Hey Awaken, maybe I will do a short art tips vid on composition with Murata as an example this year before my beak. It's easier to show examples than explain in a comment. No promises though.
I think he's most important, yet, less discussed attribute is the tridimensionality of his drawings. Sure, he's more cartoonish than realistic, but all shapes have an implicit structure to them. This can be seen better on one of his favorite artists: Kim Jung Gi. Despite being famous for being able to draw without sketch, he always makes clear that he doesn't draw just the contourn, he thinks on the structure of everything he draws. Admitedly, Murata doesn't come close to the level of realism, memory or meticulousness of Kim Jung Gi, but Murata applies this same principales with his more cartoonish style.
Hii, how are you? I recently found your canal and i found SO GOOD really, there are a lot of people talking about manga artist, but i never see a TH-camr with videogame artist being the channel's focus i hope see more of you videos later!! I want to draw someday so im interesting in videos like this, i hope you are okay and have and good day/Night when you see this (Sorry but english is not mu first language)
Good question; If I had to choose one word, Feminine. I think he knows how to gets the best out of the expression and body language w/o being overly dramatic, making the character believable as a whole in the context he draws them. How would you describe it?
Thanks for the suggestion Abbes. I’ll put him on the list, however, just as a short note; atm I’m going to focus a bit more on game artist analysis (e.g. mgs artist yoji shinkawa is next). However popular manga artist like this yususke murata breakdown/analysis will be featured, in-between. Stay tuned.
