@@Trinitrotoluene101 I'm fine after the injury, but I have the operation to fix my right shoulder tomorrow and so will be using this mouse in the couple of weeks after.
I just got one and it seems to be designed to be used horizontally only. When you use it on its side or vertically, the trackball wobbles which I find very annoying. Do you have any tips about this?
I have the same experience when using from my bed, I need to adjust my hand for the device to be vertical, otherwise the ball loses contact with the sensor.
Indeed. To answer your question, yes, the scroll wheel has the click option in the middle, just like a traditional mouse. Click while on the website page or excel sheet, and move the cursor up or down for continuous scrolling.
Curious if you could use the trackball mouse in one hand and a normal mouse in the other. My friend has arthritis and can't use a keyboard and mouse combo. But they aim better with a mouse. They're looking for a solution. If anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate it!
Wish they added a better scroll wheel. I am so used to Logitech smooth Magspeed. Elecom mouse assistant 5 UI feels outdated from Windows XP era but functions. Certain multi command key combo doesn't work their gestures but work fine with key assignments
I'm a little surprised, I have a video ready to be posted in a day or two about a Logitech mouse, and I dedicated a segment to the scroll wheels and how good they are!
@@RandomTeq My Relacon makes a subtle scratchy noise/vibration especially when scrolling down quickly, but not up. More prominent fresh out of the box new but softens a little after several months. It isn't horrible scroll wheel. Better then Logitech's lower end products. My daily desktop driver mouse is the more premium Logitech MX Master 3. It's magnetic scroll wheel is a delight to use. In infinite free scroll mode, a flick of a finger scrolls quickly but then gradually eases down; natural feeling. Varying flick strength scrolls at different speed. If hard stop incremental scroll is need it can switch to ratchet mode with a button and behave like the Relacon. Logitech also has mode where it starts out in ratchet mode but switches to free scroll if you flick fast too. Overall Relacon is the best handheld trackball on the market and I still use it a lot when not sitting normally at the desk.
@@RandomTeq If scrolling through lots of long documents I sometimes hold the MX Master 3 mouse in my other hand in conjunction with the Relacon. Kludgy but works. Another way I do it is set the mode to 1x revolution then set a fast speed setting.
Expecting to be in a sling for 6 weeks so this is perfect. Thanks.
Oh my! I hope it's nothing serious. Get well soon.
@@RandomTeq It's not yet, just waiting for surgery for an injury (in both shoulders). Thanks!
@@hippopotamus86 Ditto, how's your recovery going?

@@RandomTeq I kind of fixed my issue by using a heavy 25mm steel ball instead of the default red one FWIW.
Clever! I might try it.
@@VG____where do you buy one of them?
Thank you very much, i never find a vidio of this product, very good review
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the review! Does the ball come off if you tilt too much? Did you observe any lag or delay between the device and the screen?
No, it doesn't come off. You have use a little bit of force to take it off to clean, for example. As for the lag, I have not experienced any at all.
Very nice for presentations.
Does the middle button click works, it the wheel only scrolls up and down?
Indeed.

The gentleman who sells airplanes for millions, uses it for his presentations to clients.

I'm assuming it's possible with practice, but why does he need to use two?

I think we have similar thoughts on both. Logitech endless scroll is phenomenal!
