That is a serious protein powder collection! I have quite a collection, but nothing like that! Thanks for trying all of these for all of us. Greatly appreciated.
It is easier to use unflavored whey isolates and have a number of extracts, especially for storage. Almost all of the whey protein powders contain soy, so not good for most cancer survivors. Also if you have any MTHFR gene polymorphism, they all contain synthetic folic acid that cannot be metabolized and can build toxicity and possibly be carcinogenic. Good point about the vanilla, I scrape bean pods to add to ice creams then make extract with the pod remainders. I prefer guar gum to xanthum gum but I hear tara gum is the best. I sometimes use milk protein isolates as the 80:20 split of whey to casein would be as found in nature. Definitely dark cocoa powder works best and its fiber content makes for a thicker ice cream. Acacia fiber can help with that as well. Thanks for trying and assessing so many protein powders!
@@LowCalNinja-qf4ye I use Bulk Supplements unflavored whey protein isolate because its only 2 ingredients: whey protein and sunflower lecithin. As a Type 2 diabetic (as well as the other 2 woes cited earlier), there are the fewest carbs in isolates versus concentrates. No, I find some mix better with alternative milks and some are grittier. I liked Isopure's texture the best, for baking as well, if it wasn't for the soy. The flavored ones all contain folic acid rather than methylfolate but they do have some fun flavors don't they. I get fruity cereal extract and toasted marshmallow extract from a company called One-on-One. It's funny, I wish I liked the of flavor of Keto Chow's vitamins and minerals, because they address most of my issues so they really must have done their homework.
I also use Bulk Supplements Whey Isolate and just got my Creami haven't even used it yet. To be honest I just steer clear of any of the flavoured product and have always found frozen local blueberries with Isolate and green powder were sweet enough for shakes. Stevia is also a hormone disruptor and sucralose is no good.. I have a large inventory of flavour extracts that I believe are alcohol extract or distillation (I gotta look into it more) and am curious to see how they perform. Everything from pistachio, chocolate, banana to Meyer lemon with 25 plus options. Not sure if anyone has tried with these type of natural flavor enhancers but the person I buy from is called Flavor Essence.
The PowerBI dashboard is great. One thing that could be a great addition is including something around price, like price per gram of protein or price per serving
A good tip i have found. Using a few dates blened up. Adds extra sweetness give a really nice sticky thicker consistency and add a almost toffee like note. Also means you can dial back a bit on artificial sweateners. This worked very well in a dairy free ice cream i made with coconut milk replacement and coconut flavoured soy protein. It made a big difference for the creaminess and inhanced the coconut flavour. So if you're dairy free of vegan id recommend just for getting a good creamy tast and consistency when you don't want to be adding fats into your diet. Obviously ised xanthume gum still as well

Do you scrape the little mound that forms on top after freezing?
I don't, but should. I started freezing without the lid on and that helps make for a smaller mound
@@LowCalNinja-qf4ye I don't know, I was asking because the Ninja directions don't say anything but other TH-camrs do so just seeing if it has caused an issue with you since it seems like you have made thousands without a problem.
What is the best vanilla base that you have found?
Ryse Marshmellow and Dymantize Vanilla are my favorites at the moment.
@@LowCalNinja-qf4ye Appreciate it, gotta try those out! Currently still going through a case of fairlife corepowers and a pe science tub
@@alexwilliamson338 I thought the PEScience Vanilla was very good too, the others just barely edged them out.
I'd love it if you would try my favorite protein powder. Legion Athletics Whey+
Thank you!
Thanks so much🙂
What is your perfect recipe for the Quest mix? You mentioned coco powder just wondering what you usually do?
1 scoop powder
1/4 cup cottage cheese
1/4 teaspoon Xanthan gum
2 tablespoon sweet coffee creamer
Almond milk to fill
If using coco powder, 1-1.5 tablespoons
Do you think you can get good results by combining 200 ml of non-fat milk and 150 ml of water with pudding mix and xantham gum?
And protein powder? Yes, definitely.
No protein powder, you'll be lacking some flavor (and possibly texture) unless you go real heavy on pudding mix.
My favorite it jocko molk mint chocolate
How do all your ice creams so fluffy, that form a peak on the lid?, i can never get such fluffy ice cream
Are you using my recipe? Adding a bit of liquid between spins helps whip more air into the pint.
@@LowCalNinja-qf4ye not yet only watched so far. But i prepared your recipe yesterday and will try it today. I didnt catch it anywhere bit how long do you leave the icecream out to sit before spinning. Do you not add any sweeteners? Because usually its not sweet enough for me
@@LowCalNinja-qf4ye i tried it. It was not fluffy and was just flat ish
Can any of these be made in a traditional ice cream maker? I don't really want to invest in a Creami since I have a fairly new ice cream maker
I'm not sure. I haven't really used a lot traditional ice cream maker since I was young. A lot of what I've learned about ice cream has come from a channel called polar ice creamery. Here's a video he did about protein ice cream: th-cam.com/video/KZ7blzvnryY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=mvDedTXyZI31ebbD
what about premier protien shakes
Never had them, but the chocolate powder tested well. I don't really care for their vanilla though.
what's the top 2 vanilla protein ? can you help me with good powders?
Dymantize Vanilla, Ryse Marshmellow, & PE Science Vanilla are all very good.
@@LowCalNinja-qf4ye Thank you keep up the content ❤️
Have you tried non-whey animal based powder? Mainly MRE Lite from Redcon 1?
I have not. Have you and do you recommend it?
I love it as a protein powder and have made protein ice cream in a blender but don't have a creami. It's a great option if whey bothers your stomach.
Machine: im tired boss
We're not done yet! 😆
Dude what’s ur ewccomdnation fro best protein powder you can find at Walmart
Premier protein's chocolate milkshake is pretty good. Not a big fan of their vanilla though. If they have Dymatize ISO that's a good vanilla.
Check out the report I have linked in the description for more brand specific recs
@@LowCalNinja-qf4yeI’m gonna try optimum nutrition
What happens if you spin these recipes on ice cream or gelato instead of the "light ice cream"?
Think it comes out a little less smooth.
Have you tried Just Ingredients protein powders?
No, is there a flavor you've had and recommend?
@@LowCalNinja-qf4ye I just used vanilla bean as I. find that flavor very versatile in using.
Just my 2 cents , but the bag of plastic will go trash . The bucket will go recycling to plastic pellets and use again for other product
Sadly, most of what goes in our bin these days doesn't actually get recycled. Many studies confirm this, there just isn't much of a market for it. Relevant, entertaining video on the topic: th-cam.com/video/PJnJ8mK3Q3g/w-d-xo.html
Here’s all you really need to know…
Leave your ice cream out for 10 mins, use 10 grams of powdered pudding mix or use .005 of xanthym gum by weight, and fill to the max line with protein (yogurt, fair life, or powder) and over sweeten and salt…optional items add extracts.
You should open a gnc in your kitchen
