    Had the pleasure to meet Greg twice recently. He took the time to talk and take a picture with my son, who's 6 years old and a big fan. Made my sons day, he brought that picture printed out to his class at school for show and tell, and they watched Greg's drill contraption video haha! Thanks Greg👍

    You and Finn make the best stick and pole videos I've ever seen. Stick/pole shelters, stick/pole fires, stick/pole gathering, stick/pole survival. You make people smarter and safer, which is why I never miss a video. Hope to see you and Amos on another adventure sometime soon--and Finn, of course! Many thanks.

  • @BatMan-fz7np
    @BatMan-fz7np ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Yes! Awesome video!!
    When you mentioned type of shelters for rain and snow, I was wondering to myself about structural parts and types for heavy snow fall and light snow fall.
    Like not just strength of the sleeping area, but size inside etc would having a tight spot be bad in heavy snow, where you could easily end up buried!
    Don’t have snow here in winter, so I love these hard winter videos! It’s also amazing that in snowy areas, you have very little worry about with critters like snakes and giant spiders wanting to cuddle up to ur warmth in the middle of the night! Where as in Australia, it happens frequently. Though a lot probably don’t even know it’s happened, more common in warmer time of year than the cooler times.
    Enjoyed the vid, can’t wait to see what shelters you got up ur sleeve!
    Doing a survival vid the best plan is no plan and make it up as you go, it all comes together as you find what you can work with!

    I would say:
    Put the bark underneath then needles. This will isolate you better from the ground.
    Also try to make long log fire - so you don't have to wake up to keep the fire going.

    Awesome vid. Lots of great tips in this one. I see alot of people that greatly underestimate how much and how fast wood can burn for an overnight. I like how you get enough materials so you don't have to go looking for more wood in the middle of the night. Cool shelter and smart to use the needles and rocks. Fin is such a gentlemen now. Good training.
