It was my signature perfume for part of the 90s, although I've been wearing it since the 80s.
I've never understood the choices made by perfume companies to discontinue these excellent fragrances that gave their brands their name.
This perfume is exceptional, just like the sadly discontinued Boss Sport from the 80s.
I still have about 50 ml of this wonderful fragrance which, when I wear it, takes me back to the free, clean and fresh spirit that characterized the generation that knew the 80s and 90s.
I believe that in 2024 Lacoste launched a “new” perfume with a similar image, which it called “Original”... I haven't tried it yet, but I hope there is some similarity with this vintage pearl.
Haven't heard of the new "original" but I'm excited to try it. There are a handful of reasons why companies decide to discontinue a fragrance. Perhaps sales dropped too low with the coming of the "Le Male/Acqua Di Gio/A*Men" era.

Try the SISLEY Eau de Campagne perfume. It has many similarities with this magnificent, but unfortunately discontinued Lacoste Original.

Not much like it. Duc de Vervins Houbigant, Polo Cologne if you layer it with more lime.
