There is a lot of them. Actually most of the fragrances that are priced high, not worth the price at all so technically they smell cheap. Or at least cheaper than it costs.
@@matyasd007 well, that's always a matter of opinion. If you go by the price you're paying, you can argue that anything that makes a profit for a business is always overpriced, as profit is a mark up after all the expenses of making a product are dealt with

When I was about 5 years old, Nautica Voyage had just released. I was in Dillards and a lady gave me a sample of it because I was crying in the store. When she gave me the free little sample I cheered up and stopped crying. I’m 20 now and still have that sample 1/2 full in my drawer :) Nautica Voyage is one of my favorite fragrances in my collection partly because of that, but also because it has an amazing smell!
It is so common for people to associate favorite scents with fond memories, definitely. It is so cool you still have some of that sample left from when you were a kid. Nice story! 👍❤️

My dad went to high school in the 80s, and Drakkar Noir was his scent of choice. It's the only fragrance I've seen him wear. I loved smelling it when I was young, so I would occasionally sneak into my parents' room and spray it on myself. It smells so clean, but extremely powerful and masculine. It always reminds me of my goofy, strong, and badass dude of a father.
I have a collection of over 120 bottles and Drakkar Noir will always be my choice if I could only keep one. Both because of the olfactory connection to my father, and because it smells amazing.

I’m an old man (65) and I wear these 3 now! Love the retro vibe.
Cool water is way better than body sprays. It's a nice straight soapy smell. Works great in hot weather outside and as a deodorant or air freshner.

Quorum is actually a fragrance I picked up because of you, and how I found your channel.
My wife and I were cruising around some random small town when we stopped at their Bealls. Went in to see if they had any fragrances, and really the only men's fragrance they had was Quorum. I did a quick search on TH-cam to see if I could find any info on it, your video popped up, I watched a couple seconds of it and just knew I had to grab that bottle. Subscribed right then.
Owning a modest 300 fragrances, I was *still* wicked stoked to find a 6.7oz Nautica Voyage for 11.00 at a HomeGoods store!
Owning 21 fragrances and my GF like Nautica Voyage the most and Acqua di Gio Profumo in 2nd place

I hated Versace Blue Jeans when I first bought it, but what’s crazy is it got me more compliments than almost all of my other ones sadly, so I don’t even like it but everyone around me loves it 😂
Drakkar was the first fragrance that I can really remember making me love fragrances. My older brother had it when I was a kid.
I remember magazines smelling like this because of the scratchers.

My mom swore it contained pheromones or something. She absolutely loved it back 20+ years ago.

For around $20 or so, I really enjoy the Cremo line. I have the Bourbon & Oak and the Blue Cedar and Cypress with Silver Water and Birch on the way. I also bought 7 of the Cool Water line (the original, Wave, Pacific Summer, Summer Fizz, Freeze Me, Summer Edition, and Night Dive, plus their underarm deodorant), all of which I enjoy very much.
How long does cremo last on average?

When the first bottle I bought was Dior Sauvage Elixir, 2nd was Versace Eros Eau de Parfum - 3rd was Drakkar Noir, no regrets.

Since ash talks so much about drakkar I went ahead and bought a 30 mil today and oh man yea this smell is very familiar. Since I was younger I didn’t really appreciate scents the way I do today but I must say the opening is wow, the heart notes are actually nice. I still haven’t went through the full dry down but I’ll keep this bad boy in the car for emergencies👌🏼
Hey ash how do you feel about frag from bath and body works? I've used them and they are relatively inexpensive and they have some bangers like forest that's a aventus style and other inspired frags...please do a video on them

Currently spritzing Jean Marc Paris Homme Noir... And digging it. Shout-out to the Jaguar line too, vision sport is terrific. 7/10 of my showers end with that because of how clean it is.

I have barely heard of Drakkar Noir (been in the frag game for 3 years). I was rewatching it's always sunny in Philadephia for the 15th time and one of the mid-2000's episodes referenced it. I blind bought it and I instantly recognised it cos all my uncles wear it.
My dad used to wear photo by karl Lagerfeld. I have been looking for the vintage version with the black bottle and loop on the cap for a hot minnnute
I'm pretty much on board with Ash's selection/recommendation but Joop Homme Ice is a no go for me, even at $20.00!

I don't love 80's fragrances in general, but I gotta say Drakkar Noir aged pretty decently throughout the years imo... I honestly don't find it as oldschool as others from the same era
I never think of scents as old school or current/trendy, etc. If a certain fragrance works for the individual, I don’t think it matters if it’s from 1960 or 2022. 😎
I don’t know about that, man. It smells like a very old family uncle. When I compare it to 80s fragrances like Aspen by Coty or Cuba Gold by Parfums De Champs, it smells pretty old and “nostalgic”

F Black is awesome, I’ve gotten lots of compliments from the ladies wearing it.
Another one I recommend is Lapidus pour homme. Its an 80s powerhouse fragrance, so its out of style. But it LASTS! All freaking day. Super masculine and you will be noticed.

Never smelled Quorum but I would say Drakkar Noir which I love reminds me of Polo Green a lot.

Blue Jeans is my absolute FAVORITE from Versace and is the fragrance that got me into collecting fragrances.
Blue jeans brings back alot of memories for me I need to get me a bottle.
I've been wearing Blue Jeans for years.I've bought another bottle last year at Marshall's for $16.99.
Drakkar is King!🤴 Even if it's been out for decades.. it was way ahead of it's time... doesn't smell dated and still gets me compliments... my 15yrs sons favorite out of my collection

I got nautica voyage as my first way back in 8th grade for a social, still have it today.
I still like my Drakkar Noir,Versace Blue Jeans and Davidoff Cool Water. I recently finished off my Cool Water and bought a 4.2 oz bottle. Drakkar Noir is my favorite though. I probably should order a back up bottle or two.
I now keep a bottle of Drakkar Noir in my car!! Love it. In Canada you’re paying $20 for a 30ml.
I've only tried two of these. Nautica voyage wasn't that great and gave me a headache. Quorum is fantastic, one of my favorites for sure.
Forgot to mention any of the Cremo colognes. Some of those are top notch.
Have you tried Open or Open Black by Roger & Gallet? Considering how much you like Drakkar and Quorum I think you would really like them
I just got Open last week I saw it on scents of south jersey...what a beast...I wonder if open black is much different...I also picked up Bijan for men $16.99...even more of a power house.
@@MDP673NJ1 Open Black smells significantly different. It has an interesting cumin note in the drydown that gives it a slight animalic vibe. They are both great but I think Black is the better of the 2

Buying Voyage from both the Nautica store and Marshall's, I will say the opening of Voyage from the Nautica outlet was a lot fresher (duuh) than the one from Marshall's.

Drakkar Noir and similar have been around for 40 years, and, of course, shower gels today mimic the scent. They don't smell like shower gel, shower gels smells like them

I think designers need to be more consistent with packaging to ensure it reflects what the season you're trying to portray. If you have a blue bottle, that will always imply warmer months.

I bought Nautica Voyage because it was so cheap and every single TH-cam reviewer loves it. I loved the opening but the dry down on my skin was disgusting. I had to wash it off because it made me sick.
Wear it a couple of hours before a shower maybe, excels in high heat!

The only ones you can get for $19.99 in Canada is Versace Blue Jeans and Davidoff Cool Water. I'm trying hard to find more! Any Canadian followers with some advice???
Have you tried Paris Hilton's men's cologne? It's under or around 20CAD last I saw for a 3.4oz EDT spray. And imo it's one of the best cheap fragrances for men. For me it smells very similar to Armani Acqua Di Gio but doesn't have that knockoff smell.
Hello Guys. I have some questions about Dakkar Noir, Plz help me for answers.
1. How many spays we can apply for a long day (about 10 hours working at office) because when I apply this fragance for 6 or 7 spays and disappear afters 2 hours .
2. How about longetive and sillage of Dakkar Noir.
I absolutely love Dakker Noir. Because average about freshness, sweetness but no longer for me.

F Black is fantastic.
I have Nautica Blue Ambition - you probably would avoid because it is a flanker of Blue, but it is actually a Dior Sauvage CLONE... Not so much the opening, but the dry down is extremely close - at least 85%, I'd say... Would love your thoughts on it but it's not around much anymore I don't think - but where it is still available it is still dirt cheap. I think it was $14 or less when I bought it on Amazon for 100 ml.
Cool Water is 20 bucks for 4.2 oz. Hard to imagine that, I remember when it was MUCH more expensive than that.

New Drakkar is a shade of its former self.
Get the Belcam clone of Drakkar. It's $8 and smells exactly like the original formulation! I own both, and the Belcam is superior.

People make fun of Drakkar Noir it was pretty much one of the most fragrances in the late 80's and 90's. Like Yves St Laurent Korus I used to wear that every day even Quorum.
