He's VERY strong. I got placed b5 off of my placements and was worried it would take me ages to climb back to where I was, 74% Winrate on sigma had me climbing fast af
Honestly most of the tanks are just a blast now. I'm loving Orisa. Been trying to get better with junker queen and doomfist as well cause they're something different and fun to play.

As a Zen main I almost cried when I heard that lmao. Nobody seems to know how to play with a Zen once all the new players flooded into Overwatch 2.
Or healers in general. They stand there while you get murdered by enemy dps because they're too busy having some cockfight with the other tank.
Any real ana main knows, tho shalt keep the glass cannon alive until I can nano it and set it loose upon the world!

As a sigma main, sigma is so powerful now in OW2 cause now there is one less tank to deal with and he is so versatile. His ability to self-sustain is really insane. Were in so many situations where the rest of my team died and i was literally using my shield and my overheal to survive and buy time for my team to get back. He is one of those characters where i feel there is an above average/slightly steep skill curve at the start but the more situations and maps you play him in it is not too difficult to get good or at least be useful to your team compared to some of the harder dps or tank heroes in the game
And yet dva is still better
I am a rein main with sigma second and I’ve been enjoying him a looot lately
I noticed that too. He was surprisingly effective in the games I was playing against him.
Personally, I think Orisa has the better kit on paper because it’s both geared for offense and defense almost perfectly and every orisa I’ve fought can just outright rush you by themselves and deal so much dmg.
I used to main sigma in OW1 and with OW2 I haven’t gotten the niche yet with him as the sole tank to dominate like I’ve been when someone else plays him 😅

New to OW, played the original awhile after it came out. Haven’t played in 6 years until OW2 released. I’ve learned a lot from your gameplay in tank role. Appreciate you being elite at this game and sharing knowledge!
Lol same I played ow about 3 times like 6 years ago and never played it again . Then ow2 comes out and I can't get enough. It feels a lil easier to me as well cause back when I played it felt pretty hard for a new player to do anything without getting shat on. That's was just my experience tho. Take care m8!✌️

I always have difficulty with sombras /zaryas/genjis in OW2 cuase of the lack of mobility. Tracers and moiras are more of an annoyance to me than a difficulty

sigma's really weak to brawl tanks, like Zarya, Rein, JQ, etc. he wants to take ranged fights, not close ones
All tanks besides doom and ball are good atm and even then ball and doom are good just compared to the others there not that good.

She's not, you just have to know when to focus her and when to avoid shooting bubbles.
@@JohnFromAccounting biggest problem I see is people who play Orisa and Dva just hold down the primary fire and shoot at anything that moves so she just becomes unkillable. We try to focus healers but at this point Zarya always at full charge and just wipes us anytime we try. It's very difficult playing with randos

ive found a single use for rein up until now. running it down midtown first point on highground inside the train thingy. your shield isd wide enough to block all the damage you can usually hit 3 or more people with the firtestrike and ive pinned someone every time. other than that without a lucio you are usually frikced
I tend to play overly aggressive as rein since ow2 and it had great effect against tanks other than orisa. Shatter is very easy to hit now and tends to gain easy 2-3 picks.
I feel like Sigma is underrated in meta. It was funny to see the other team cycle through every tank to try and counter you.
Only way to counter him is to be the better sigma

I played my first Sigma game a few days ago and it was insane
So basically he is the Magneto of Overwatch.
and ithought that title is some explanation. cause he has weaknesses - limited range is a big one. very slow movement another. he can easily be interrupted in his ult. And he has a really hard time against heries circling him with more speed than his. Not to mention rammatra absolutely anihilates him in melee

sigma is extremely hard to counter but you can counter him if you play a good rein or especially roadhog. his LSHIFT pull is actually insane and very hard to counter and his stun is pretty crazy too. not many dps characters can counter him id say because he can just eat almost everything they throw at them

I found super jump is now easier to do... i dont have to time anything at all, just GA then as soon as i press crouch at any point during the GA i fly into the air... I love how easy it is now

@@bleachcheeks4837 Sombras only really as big of an issue as she is at higher levels. I have a couple of friends that are new to the game that I play on a alt with, so they don’t get put up against people at my ELO. When I play with them, she’s not generally a problem. But at higher Elos where players know her strength, she can just focus hack the tank the whole match and completely lock him out. Which with the way the game is now, if the tanks killed, you lose that fight. Funny enough the only tank that doesn’t really get effect by this, is Zarya, because if she has her bubbles, Sombra won’t be able to hack her, and if she doesn’t, the hack won’t mean anything anyway. All Sombra can really do against her is force cooldowns, which isn’t to hard to get around.

I've never played overwatch until 2 came out but I was playing sigma a little while ago and went 14 and 2 with 5000 damage and 17000 MIT on push. Are those good numbers?
5k dmg isnt that impressive as Sigma, but it's still decent. 17k mitigation as sig is great though.

Right now with how strong zarya is I think she is his weakness especially full charge.
Sigmas weakness is Reinhardt or another sig with a higher output team. Not to mention kikiro and her ult can save the teams life upon landing and reverse the momentum
This vid shows what good communication can get you, yesterday I played with a bunch of randoms and it was the least coordinised things I've ever witnessed, our dva was hiding up on a balcony, our entire team was on opposite sides of the map, and I (who was playing dps) had to stay out of the fight to keep the payload moving because I was the only one on it 😭

In ow1 she was able to get out at any time, even when falling to the ground, I think they haven't changed that interaction, Reaper's shadow also works the same

As a doom one trick who hates tank doom I got frustrated one round and switched to sigma, playing him for the first time in years. I was shocked if not appalled by how low effort it was compared to trying to play may favorite hero post neutering.
Doom is a lot harder now but don't think he doesn't still bring value to the team. He's good too but for different reasons than Sigma.
@@sethbryant7894 doom would be fine as a tank if he was a new hero. But everyone wants to pretend that dps doom didn't exist. He had a kit in overwatch 1 that was far and exceedingly more fun and interesting to use. They replaced his hyper mobility with easy to use watered down bullshit mobility, gave him the worst defensive move any hero has ever had, and forced my hyper mobile hero to stop and stand still every 8 seconds. He feels like crap now. 500 hours of doom down the toilet. I've spend a good 20 or 25 hours on new doom and I hate it so much. It actually breaks my heart. Doom was what kept me playing overwatch all these years because I couldn't pick up any other game and play anything remotely close to doomfist. Now I can't play anything remotely close to doomfist in the game he's from either. I hate it. I've sat down and tried it and had insane games with 45 elims and 15000 damage and had next to zero fun. I've always hated the brawler prolonged fight type heros. I hate playing tank. They literally shit on my overwatch experience. "We are going to make doom a tank so he can keep his cc.... nevermind"
The block is trash, it can't block key cooldowns, it doesn't even block everyone on your screen. It has a long cooldown, and it's tied to a shitty gimmick where I have to block "major damage" to get any semblance of what I want out of the hero. And if I fill that bar to 99, it's as good as if I didn't block anything at all. If that ability is going to work it needs to be like dvas matrix with an amount that recharges and no cooldown and it should save your charge. Or at least have it decay. Not this 100% or nothing bs.
On top of that the flow of the hero is gone. And 8 second cooldown slows everything down even with the faster punch cooldown. I miss uppercut. 😢
Also I was so excited for 5v5 with less cc cuz I knew how fun that would be for dooms. If they are worried about it being unfun for non dooms then why is hog in the game pissing everyone off. (I've heard a lot of people rage about hog in my ranked games) and doom could have been so good. Imagine if both uppercut and his slam were cancelable with punch. That would have been so freaking cool that mobility would have been nuts. Instead we get the small bursts of mobility he has now as a tank that people call "nutty mobility" but for a 600 hour doom one trick it feels so fucking clunky and slow and lumbering. Again I hate it. And I hate the way that top dooms have made these same or similar points and they get ignored. It's like we aren't allowed to have our niche hero he had to be east to pickup for everyone who won't play him anyways. (Looking at you tank players who have filled the comments for months with "I can't wait to play doom tank" and I see none of you actually playing him)

"He's good for other reasons" yeah he's reel good at putting out mediocre numbers and making the enemy team switch to hog sombra phara ana Moira. He's reel good at that.
It sucks that I've never played orissa hardly even once and I can roll the enemy team with her. But I have to absolutely sweat my brains out and land nothing but headshots to get even close to that value on doom. And all without being counterpicked to hell and back.

I used to play the assassin rollout get a kill and disappear type doomfist. Now my only option is to play punchbot brawler doom. And that sucks. Like how can you agree that removing an entire playstyle for a hero is a good change? Maybe it was for a hero like orissa where almost nobody likes her playstyle. But for a hero with a dedicated... very dedicated following... its a shit change. I hate it. All dooms play the same now. I cant tell the difference from watching a clip of brandito, or quaked, or zbra. They don't have that unique identity to the way they play anymore.

Of course he does. Rein, Winston, reaper, Sombra, genji, pretty much anyone with good mobility and who excels at melee or close range combat and/or can disable his abilities. He's very strong, but certainly has vulnerabilities and can get pushed pretty hard. Not very tanky without his shields which close combat invalidates.

I play a decent amount of sigma and I think Winston is a good pick against him since his weapon goes through sigmas shield . I've got a lot of kills with Winston's on sigmas from surprise switching and jumping to a team stacked together behind a sigma shield thinking they are safe .

So i have two questions and I don’t think @emongg is going to answer, but maybe someone from chat can?
1) how did he cancel his ult in overtime on their first defense. He started floating, realized he had no one in his ult and just canceled it.
2) why does he have numpad4 as his ult button? Does he play with a different style keyboard or does he play on the numpad?
He’s probably playing on the numpad, but when I see his regular abilities still set to shift/E it throws me off. Im guessing he never changed the original key binds, just added an alternate keybind for his abilities on or around the numbpad. Never seen someone play over there.
If you use sigs Ult and no one is in it, it just goes away

Just going off title, I recently watched a Fitzy video that says otherwise.
This tittle is not even clickbait. The only real times I’ve ever lost so far as Sigma in OW 2 is because of bad resource management, positioning or bad gameplay. Definitely easier to play Sigma now.
