Sig was the first character i ever played in OW1 and he’s still my tank main in OW2. He’s an absolute monster once you get him down
I love sigma but I feel like he gets shafted by meta tanks rn. Ramatra steam rolls him, roadhog is stupid annoying to face and orisa never dies.
@@hfs5732 true and the fact orisas ult goes through barriers now and that rammatta’s nemesis form completely counters sigmas kit (except rock) it’s so annoying
@@hfs5732 agreed, however sigma does counter hog, you just need to make sure to keep track of hook and shield flash it. Ram and orisa are mad annoying rn tho lol
@@monkwashere you can shield flash his hook but after that most roadhog will just walk past your shield into your team. You can’t hold roadhog back is what I meant. Like how orisa can keep him in line.

14:30. I think that he still had LOS of lamp when he jumped off the ledge and was technically still inside the ring. You can see when he backs up against the wall, the outline on his healthbar from lamp disappears.
The Sigma Gameplay looks so fun, I think I'll definitely give him a try to get over my Rein frustration
Maybe if Rein had damage reduction while charging
I started trying him after watching Emongg's cooldown management and it's been a blast! Have fun!!
rein needs 20% move speed while swinging hammer, he cant get close. Was the same with ram tank form, people just walked away. Melee range tanks need some way to close distance. Charge also needs its damn damage back... most dangerous move a tank has and it does 100 damage...

@@aivideos322 rein is fine as is, he can cancel charge now to engage. Also pin does 225 damage
I'm a hard core sigma main, and I can't manage barrier and grasp as efficiently as this guy does

@@lil_Perronot what I meant.what makes him one of the best is his game sense, so things like positioning, knowing when to peel, retreat, knowledge about every ability and where all weaknesses in characters are. However he's using pretty basic sigma resource management that you see in plat+ so yeah if you're a hardcore sigma main you should at least be able to do that much.

i played one game as Sig in season 1 and immediately started maining him as tank, I quit OW1 before he came out but he's just so much fun then the meta tanks, orisa is just, hold W simulator, hog requires 4.7 braincells and 3 button presses and rammatra is fun but sig just feels better and more impactful for his team

15 seconds in and I already had to pause to say what a PLAY. Oh never mind I'll block the Reaper ult, FLY out of the Torb ult and kill both Torb and Reaper after the fact. I assume this is gonna be play of the game and if it's not I can't wait to see who does something more impressive lol

Yea, he should have used absorb here. I've noticed he doesn't use it too often. At least in this game
He was saving it for reaper ult, and trust me, emongg recycles his abilities really well, and he did use kinetic grasp alot in this game, if he used grasp earlier but then they reaper ulted the same thing would've happened, they lose that fight in both ways, window is tuff to fight against in a small hallway

there is 100% no reason to every try to get even "good" balance on a live service seasonal game. the idea the ow2 team needs to go to is creating a unique experience every single season
season 3 should be the patch of idk Rein Lucio Moira whatever whocares
season 4 should be like, brig sigma poke
season 5 should be like, cassidy wrecking ball tracer where cass players are constantly trying to anti engage tracers
etc etc etc
mix it up, make the game feel fresh each season
league of legends might be a bad game but they were brilliant at realizing that forcing a specific meta each season is going to get people coming back to the game

sigma is arguably the best tank overall. he does so many things well.
Winston I think is the best overall. He has everything that sigma has bar an insane ult and damage, but he trades off for a better barrier and SPEED
In the meta with no insanely overpowered characters, sigma comes 2nd and Winston is arguably the best tank.

@@harrybeast58 Winston is a bit fun for me, as I played sigma as my main (haven’t played him for a while) and I feel like Winston is the direct opposite to him. He moves quicker, has low but non-burst damage

@@wasabebo8334 lamp mitigates damage to people below 20hp, basically rendering them immortal. I think lamping people inside of a DVA ult, or lamping the DVA mech of a friendly might have caused that 'bug' to happen?

Just save your rock for when he turns into nemesis and put a shield behind him to block heals and keep a good distance away from him . Also hopefully ur dps will shoot him when you rock him

Hog is a necessary evil. Is he fair? No he isn’t but neither is a pocketed dps considering there is already too much damage in the game. Hog is the only tank who can challenge/contest the absurd damage output from dps. Also hog is the only tank who can consistently shutdown a pocketed dps wether it be sojourn, cass, ash, junk, 76, etc…, not even sigma can stop them consistently.

I dont understand how poeple think hog is annoying to play against when orisa and sig exist. Both boring spam characters with hog you have to at least land a hook dodge cc and manage cooldowns compared to standing still behind a shield or mindlessly pressing ability buttons to stay alive. Gameplay is a lot more engaging and fun than with a few other tanks and its a great soloq hero since you can impact and carry thr game even if ur teammates are hardthrowing if you play well. Hog takes like 100000 times more skill to play well and not perma feed. As a matter of fact all the poeple that say hog is way to easy to play and overpowered are probably shit with him and prefer playing other heros which happen to get countered by him... If it was a rein dva monky zarya or ball meta sure id understand people complaining but orisa ???? really ...
nah a character becomes increasingly engaging the more utility they have. it's why sigma can be quite a fun tank. I mainly play hog and oft find myself feeling like my only real ability is to hook. Not to mention being on the receiving end of orisa/sigma feels like how a tank should play generally(though I find orisa a bit overtuned.) as they can do really big damage and have kits that do more than just kill. I do think you're right about hog being one of the only characters to contend with a pocketed sojourn but that justification leaves out the fact that he doesn't just one shot those dps. He can also walk into team hook a support get the kill and get out and it seems like the devs either want all tanks to be that strong or they don't want any tanks to be that strong. I honestly don't want a hog nerf especially in the way they're saying they'll try to do so by making hook no longer an ohk but idk how they can do that without nerfing scrap gun which would make hog go from top to bottom tier. Still I disagree in what you're saying with characters like sigma and orisa being boring because they're spammy. Also people definitely still have a problem with orisa's javelin throw and spin. If hog gets hard nerfed she'll be the top tier tank and people will see just how nasty she can be. Sig is just right for what a tank should be tho.
