thank you soo much camirra i live in maine and my niece for some wild reason..... can grow garlic like you wouldnt believe !! and i dont mean a row.. i mean like a whole garden plot of nothing but garlic...!!!! they had to literally build her a shed to hang it to dry!!! i def passed this onto her and her mom/ grand mom... keep them coming!!!
I am 76 years young and I have been doing this process that you’re doing for years I taught my younger sister how to do the same thing, she is now 62 years old. Thank you so much for showing it on your video.
If you like those pristene cloves, like the expensive bag... cut a slice off the root end. Throw in a quart jar, lid it, shake vigorously. Pick out the naked cloves. Another method: cut the plant end of a whole bulb, arrange root end down, I cover my cast iron pan, drizzle with olive oil, bake at about three hundred °f. Take out when garlic is tan and soft. Cool, just grab a bulb and squeeze into a jar. This method is good if your garlic is snow white (it has had a bleach bath to kill bacteria). It becomes sweetly pungent. So good in savory dishes.
Thanks for the lesson A-Z, shopping to storage/use!! The jars of chopped garlic are not the best. OH that is what that tube is, I received one in an Amazon kitchen purchase, but their wasnt a tag or card (I hope I saved it 😢). I plan on planting some garlic this winter!! Thank you
I’ve been doing this for years and it is a game changer! I do not buy that pre minced garlic because it taste fake to me but this right here CHANGED EVERYTHING!
The pre-minced garlic in the jars at the store is actually made from elephant garlic, which are much larger bulbs and cloves, but way less aromatic and pungent. That why when you use the Jarlic as some people call it, you have to add garlic powder to get the flavor you want.
Keto is the best! I lost 20 pounds 20 years ago on it. If my weight creeps up a bit, I focus on protein and am back to my goal weight. I also have degenerative disc disease and have had a few back surgeries. Keeping my weight low has made a huge difference!
@@ginamiller6754 I've had kneck fusion, and the epidural injections. I'm seeing the spine surgeon after Jan 1st. Three areas need the spider cages. Fell 5' onto hardened concrete, full 220 lbs, directly on the tailbone and shocked every vertebrae.
That is terrible! Was that at work? Mine was. How long ago? I had a fantastic nurse the night of my surgery. I hope you do too! I will keep you in my prayers!

oh really! that explains it! i always knew the garlic in the jar was less flavorful!
American grown/harvested garlic has the root and stem end showing
ok
You know always let your garlic sit out for at least 10 minutes before cooking to release the benefits. Thank you for your videos, enjoy 💛

This is genius! Thanks! 💙 I'll use avocado oil.
If you do get a few garlic skins don't fret. Garlic and onion skins DO have a vitamin content.
yes i use them to make broth with.
@@CamirrasKitchen Bravo! Quite right!
I put my crushed garlic in a mason jar (with a lid) and shake it til the skins come off. 😊
i tried that with a bowl and didnt work. BUT in a mason jar you say.... let tme try that tuhday!
@@CamirrasKitchen yes ma'am! Now, you gotta have some strong arms to keep up the shake. I hope it works for ya!
Yes yes yes...
I place the garlic bulbs between two metal bowls and move them around vigorously, the skins will come right off.
