This is such a sweet scene, it’s so funny but at the same time really touching to see Alan finally get acceptance and validation from someone when he all he ever gets and expects is rejection. Because while Alan is a bit of putz or a simpleton he gets he a lot of undeserved flack and mistreatment that turned him into he was at the time and who he became later on.
Yes, it is so true. There is a book that helped me tremendously There Is Nothing Wrong with You: Going Beyond Self-Hate by Cheri Huber ( She is my Zen teacher)

This is not really healthy as he is dating a mother figure. It is a phase in a healing process though. The healthiest relationship was with a dermatologist mom of 19 years old bisexuals daughter. But it didn't last.
What a great show -- I loved Charlie he was the best -- the first three seasons were gold when Jake was little -- when they brought in Kutcher i bailed - that guy is awful -- they asked High Grant first but he turned them down - only guy who could replace Charlie would have been Hugh -- too bad
Iyaa. Rinda Puspasari yang sueksih itu loh. Yang dari SMP pacaran sama Dega. Dan sampe sekarang masih saling setia. Unlike other spouses yang saling selingkuh. Tch.
jeje tienes razón. Pero quizá hasta los guionistas lo sabían, pero esa clase de errores geográficos son tan comunes en el estadounidense promedio que hasta le da más realismo a la escena
Anybody over the age of 40 should have learned in school, that Mexico is North America, but I can't imagine they have time to teach basic 2nd grade geography anymore, since they're too buy with gender studies....🤷🏻♂️
I mean, even if you _weren't_ taught in school, it's basic common sense. Just LOOK at MAP, and based on the concept of shapes you learned in kindergarten or pre-school, you can see that Mexico is obviously in North America...
“Is the love hiding behind the loathing and rejection?” Is a brilliant line!
Lol I also like " I kinda do"
Angie is the mother Alan needed. Evelyn is the one he got. Such is life.
Absolutely 💯 agree
Alan is some excellent actor
Yup. He carried the show
No doubt!

This is a weird “I need a mommy scene”
Its a healing process. Nothing weird. If you stuck in that phase then it is unhealthy.
@max thank you Dr Phil. SMH
Lol. It's a fictional character
Jon, this is a TV show. You realize that, right? They're playing it up for laughs.
Alan is me
Alan is all of us.
