- Unfortunately is not the full competition. It has the first 2 runs of Travis, the first 2 runs of Metzger and 1 run of Drake McElroy from prelims. From Finals are some runs from Pastrana Metzger Bartram McElroy Renner Miller and Clowers. If i will ever find more footage of that contest i will upload.

This is the cleanest version I have ever seen of this event. 🙌🏽
I try to fix all videos that I upload but some are very bad. But if you watch them from phone or tablet are very clean.
THANK YOU! Full or not… this event is such a historic one. THESE were the first competition backflips. Many folks think it was X Games of 02 but this event actually happened before. Was broadcasted as a pay per view live and then later aired on NBC regularly but after the X Games. First flips and first flip variations! I’m pumped! Thank you for this.

@@MotoXpsycho911 I sure wish I knew how to find more of them. I’ve been searching for many years and haven’t had much luck. Specifically why I’m sooo stoked to see as much of this one as you were able to get. This has been a lost gem for a long time.

Thanks for uploading this! I have this on VCR at my parents house, have always wanted to convert it to digital. I was actually at this event at 8 years old! Got to meet Pastrana and Metz! Such an awesome experience that I’ll never forget!

Awesome upload! Despite being a pretty big fan, I had never seen the 02 Gravity Games footage before. Love the the fact the throwaway run was a 96.00! Just shows how much importance was on the backflip between 2001 to 2006.

@KICKERfilm Can I ask if you have the complete contest from 2000 X games? I'm going to upload Gravity 1999 and 2000 next days, but I don't have from X Games 1999 2000 2002.
@@MotoXpsycho911 I am pretty sure I have the X Games broadcasts for all FMX events from about 1999 to 2011. They are on a hard drive. The early ones are fairly low quality .rm files. Some of them include unscreened footage too.... e.g. people fooling around, practicing commentating, just filming riders having a chat which is interesting. I'll see if I can find them.

This is so sick! I remember watching this stuff fresh out of high school just dreaming to be like these guys! Thanks for this upload ! These guys really pushed the sport back then made it extremely exciting!
