Hal and Carol was something I wanted to happen for a long time but as I read more of their relationship I realized that Carol deserves better yes she did love him but hal never stays in one place for long and I thought it would be better if she moved on and I’m glad she did, hopefully she still has her star sapphire ring though. I hope if any lantern gets a successful relationship it’s Guy and Ice, as far as j know his love life hasn’t been screwed over.
For decades we have seen Hal be pretty aggressive towards Carol. We have sort of accepted his womanizing ways. I don’t know if this is what Adam’s is doing, but I think it’s time Hal grows as a person and starts respecting Carol instead of perusing her constantly. I have a hunch Adam’s will pul Hal in his place. As far as the Knight Terrors event, I don’t like that it’ll probably break up this series on ComiXology the way Final Crisis Rage of the Red Lanterns is separated outside the regular GL book but is crucial to the story. I feel like it is too soon in this new GL run to jump into a DC wide event. I’m glad Adam’s is doing the next one, but feel like it’s a distraction.
So calling Hal out finally for his behavior or more forwardly in being a major A hole or worse, is a plus. There relationship does need to be addressed in one way or another at this point in time. Hal’s character has always been flawed even though he can rise above to become one of the best GL’s of all time. Hopefully he can change for the better when it comes to that side of him
Have you read the Alan Scott story in the DC: Pride Through the Years special, yet? Looks like we’re getting an Alan Scott mini this Fall (to join the other two GL books already on the slate)!!
I haven't, but I plan to cover it along with issue #1 of the Alan Scott mini-series later this year. I'm really looking forward to having three GL books again.
I want to take this moment to appreciate Kilowog in the background cover, along with him wearing a green lantern apron 💚💪🏾 But the rest of the issue? Not so much. At all. I didn't like it because of Hal's behavior.
Hey~ I just wanted to say I recently discovered your channel and wanted to say how much I’ve loved it, I’ve always been a casual fan of Green Lantern (Watch TAS and First Flight) but was never as knowledgeable, but now I’m picking up comics and truly immersing myself in this world. I just wanted to ask, one of my favourite Alien Lanterns from design and my cursory glance of his personality is Salaak, do you know any good Salaak stories I can read out there, if there is any? But no pressure of course. Hope your doing well~
Hi, I'm glad you're enjoying the channel! Salaak is great, but he tends to be a supporting character in other people's stories. He's always around, and he usually makes meaningful contributions, but he's rarely a main character. Your best bet might be to check out The Green Lantern Corps series that ran from 1986 to 1988 (it's a rebranding of the existing GL title and starts with issue 201). There are only a few active Green Lanterns at that point, and Salaak is one of them, so he gets more attention than during other periods. It's been a long time since I've read them, but I remember him getting a good bit of focus in issues 214 and 215 in particular.
@@MosaicComics What I always do, that’s the beauty of comics. Salaak is in the Green Lantern Vs Aliens Crossover comic and I really liked that. That’s how I grew fascination with him after recognising him from his small role in GL: TAS. So yeah, that’s all comics fans can do; just keep reading and find things we love along the way~
You’re not missing much as far as Kyle and Guy are concerned. It’s more of an obligatory GL reference to them dictating what is and isn’t a cosmic threat.
I honestly really don't like the way Hal is written in this tbh, even having reread Hal and Carol moments in the past, he wasn't this manipulative to me, there is confident and stupid, but this is creepy to me and I am hoping something comes out that perhaps is maybe the Parallax Entity or something interfering in his head. It made me feel very uncomfortable being a Hal fan reading this.
Maybe his behavior will make more sense once we see the exact circomstances of what made Hal quit the Corps. Either way, everything in Hal's life right now is signaling loud and clear that it's time for him to change, and I'm still holding out hope that Hal will realize that, and grow.
Whoa that is totally predatory behavior and complete disrespect of boundaries and the fact the story doesn’t call this behavior out is troubling. They shud know the “nice guy” trope isn’t a cool thing anymore and a very manipulative and selfish perspective from guys?
It does call his behavior out from what I see. The title isn’t about Hal I see but Nathan I’d say in the relationship dynamic with Carrol. A true nice guy isn’t what you say it is and can easily get twisted

Emerald Twilight but instead of a villanous Hal is a Stalker Hal. Differents kind of desperation that led to self destructive behavior

@@MosaicComics Thanks for the Recommendation~ and thanks for helping me find my pure green lantern fandom~ 💚
@@coreymcgivney5897 No problem. Just keep reading, and you'll find even more to like.

Hal Jordan is the Dawson Leary of green lantern
Please continue with content about The Golden Lantern
I like this green lantern story it’s so funny and tons of fun.
I love this so far!
Have you read the Unstoppable Doom Patrol n.3, Kyle and Guy are present in this book.
Not yet, I plan on reading that whole run when it's done.

@@MosaicComics Indeed, regardless a character growth for Hal would be a nice welcome change.
Wait is kilawog in his head?
I love this comic compared to last ones but I think Hal is overpotrayed here, he is not manipulator or stalker or thay cocky in most of comics
It’s been there but not shown to an extreme but doesn’t mean he’s not that way. I can see him leaning into it a little bit
